(Clearwisdom.net) In the past, whether it was riding in a taxi or talking with people I just met, I was able to clarify the facts to them and persuade them to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations without any fear. Some agreed to quit and some didn't, and the outcome could never move me. I was able to maintain a calm mind upon seeing bad things of everyday people and society. Also, after I watched TV, I would not remember what I had just watched. It was as if nothing could move me or affect me.

However, now I tend to be afraid to clarify the facts to strangers and persuade them to quit the Party and its affiliated organizations. Moreover, when it comes to acquaintances and those to whom I have clarified the facts before, I am not sure how to start anymore. I cannot refrain from showing my distaste toward everyday people's bad behavior, and cannot forget what I see on TV.

I underwent a tribulation recently, which helped me to discover some of my hidden attachments. Although I was aware of these attachments, I had not been determined enough to remove them. This time, with Master's help, I made a determined effort and removed some attachments, and understood some issues.

Master said in Zhuan Falun:

"Once you upgrade your xinxing, your body will undergo a great change. Upon xinxing improvement, the matter in your body is guaranteed to transform. What kind of changes will take place? You will give up those bad things that you are attached to."
"One's gong level is as high as one's xinxing level, and this is an absolute truth."
"Therefore, only by emphasizing xinxing cultivation can your gong increase and your level be upgraded."

Once my thoughts became righteous and my xinxing was improved, many issues that I couldn't understand before became clear to me all of a sudden. I realized Dafa had opened my wisdom and allowed me to understand these issues. I also came to understand that, because I had reached a certain level of xinxing, I was able to be in that good state of mind. However, since I had indulged my attachments, slacked off and started to cling to my attachment to ease and comfort, my level dropped and I thus developed a fearful mentality and dared not clarify the facts. Because my thoughts were not righteous and my main consciousness was not strong, I was easily affected by outside influences and my state of mind became unstable and, consequently, I found doing the three things difficult.

Once my state of mind became righteous, I felt I could go out and clarify the facts again. Every thought of mine was about truth-clarification, even in my dreams. In one dream, I was clarifying the facts to a classmate who did not want to listen to me because she had misunderstandings about Falun Gong, which was based on the misconduct of one of her acquaintances. In addition, she was also influenced by the slandering campaign of the CCP. What I said to her in the dream was so well organized, and she started to consider my words. I woke up and wondered why I could do so well in the dream. Now I understood it.

Master said,

"Therefore, it is said that cultivation depends on one's own efforts, while transforming gong is done by one's master. You can only have such a wish and think about it like that, but it is the master who actually does these things." (Zhuan Falun)

I indeed have understood Master's words this time. If one's attachments or human thoughts are not removed, then xinxing does not improve. Without righteous thoughts, no matter how much one tries to remove the mentality of fear and maintain a calm mind or raise one's level, it is self-defeating. On the contrary, as soon as one's xinxing has been raised, one is in that realm already; therefore, everything is determined by one's xinxing. Master has been stressing the importance of studying the Fa more to raise our xinxing, as well as looking inside, because this is the only effective way. There is only this way, and there are no shortcuts.
