(Clearwisdom.net) A child once regarded as intellectually disabled became normal and loving within a year of attending the Dodo Kindergarten; a hyperactive and rebellious child changed from hating school to yearning to go to after enrolling in Dodo; a foreign parent decided to settle in Taiwan just so her children could attend after-school sessions at Dodo.
The Dodo Kindergarten is located in Taipei County. The teachers are all Falun Gong practitioners who teach the students based on Truth-Compassion-Forbearance.

Tangtang was five and his language skills were not developing. He could not count to a hundred. His teacher told his parents that his intelligence was lacking. Tangtang was unhappy and did not want to go to school. His mother quit her high-paying job just so she could find him a suitable school.
A friend told Tangtang's mother about Dodo. Tangtang's mother was suspicious at first and wanted to try it for only a week. After few days at Dodo, Tangtang's parents got a pleasant surprise. He began to speak and knew how to ask for things politely. Soon, he calmed down emotionally. Counting to a hundred was no longer an issue.
Tangtang's mother was very pleased: "The teachers at Dodo completely changed Tangtang. Everyone had given up on him. Here, he was genuinely cared for and respected. He wants to go to school everyday now."
Tangtang's mother has returned to her job and no longer worries about him.
Yuanshuo is the only child in his family. In his previous kindergarten, he was hyperactive and his behavior exhausted his teachers. Yuanshuo often got yelled at and scolded. His mother decided to switch him to Dodo two months ago.
Yuanshuo's mother liked the peaceful atmosphere at Dodo and hoped by doing the meditation Yuanshuo could be calmer. A month after Yuanshuo enrolled in Dodo, he told his mother he was happy because the teacher did not yell at him and respected him.
Yuanshuo's mother liked the fact that Dodo's teachers train the students to be independent in doing everyday routines. "They remind me that if I often do routine things for Yuanshuo, he will become less capable of doing things for himself and lose his self confidence," the mother said. "I would take my second child here if I had one."
Shengkai was rebellious and could not hold still. His mother said that he could not get used to school. "Shengkai's behavior became erratic. He would hide and lock up his things just to avoid going to school."
Shengkai 's mother mentioned this to one of Dodo's teachers, who took the time to explain Shengkai's behavior to her. "I think the teacher was right about Shengkai, and I was happy to learn many things about educating my child," said Shengkai's mother.
"Shengkai is very happy now and he wants to come to Dodo everyday."
Shengkai 's mother appreciates the fact the teachers at Dodo listen and try to understand the students by observing them closely. When Shengkai's mother got upset with him, he would listen quietly. When she was not angry anymore, Shengkai would tell her that she did not observe the principle of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance.
"I feel that I am very lucky, and so is Shengkai," said the mother.
Zhaobo was born and raised in the United States. His father is German and his mother is Chinese. They came to Taiwan because they love Chinese culture. Zhaobo loves to come to Dodo because, as he says, "It's great here and I have so many good friends."

Zhenzhen and Shanshan are sisters. Their father is French and their mother is half-German and half-Chinese. Their mother wanted them to move to Taiwan from Germany to study Chinese.
"They play all day at home and refuse to go to sleep. They fight all the time, don't listen to me and don't not share things with each other," said Zhenzhen and Shanshan's mother, "But they love to go to Dodo and they never fight there."

Shanshan (middle) studies Falun Dafa book with other students.
Shanshan will be in elementary school in a few months. Her mother wants Dodo's teachers to help her find an elementary school close to Dodo so that she can take Shanshan there after school. She and her husband want to settle in Taiwan and not to go back to Germany.
