(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in eight provinces. In this report, 32 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least eight practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Chongqing] Ms. Huang Zhenglan Incarcerated in the Changshou District Mental Hospital
Changshou District 610 Office agents and those from the police department transferred Ms. Huang Zhenglan from the Shabao Women's Forced Labor Camp to the Changshou District Mental Hospital prior to the 2010 Chinese New Year. Ms. Huang is still being held there. Her daughter went to the police department to request her mother's release, but the officers deceived her by saying that Ms. Huang's term has not yet expired. Mental Hospital administrator Tan Jian and doctor Deng Jie have been involved in Ms. Huang's psychiatric torture.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Chunxia Given a Three-Year Prison Term; To be Sent to Shenyang Prison
3. [Hainan Province] Ms. Li Linfei Incarcerated in a Brainwashing Facility
Ms. Li Linfei from Haikou was arrested from home on the afternoon of March 16, 2010. Longhua Police Department's Domestic Security Division officers took her to the Hongchenghu Brainwashing Center in Qiongshan.

4. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Mr. Gao Mengcai Arrested, Home Ransacked
Jiefang Police Station officers arrested Ms. Gao Mengcai from the Sujiatun District at around 7:30 p.m. on March 22, 2010. They also ransacked her home.
5. [Huichun, Jilin Province] Ms. Hao Kejing Arrested
Ms. Hao Kejing from Huichun was arrested on March 17, 2010, and her home was ransacked.
6. [Jiamusi, Heilongjiang Province] Police Harass Ms. Pan Fen and Her Family
Four officers from the Changsheng Police Station, along with the Shuiyuan Community head, went to Ms. Pan Fen's home on the morning of March 19, 2010. When they found only Ms. Pan's child home, they left but waited outside the home. They arrived at Ms. Pan's home again in the afternoon, but no one was in. They were staked out in her neighbor's home for more than three hours.
Changsheng Police Station officers knocked on the door of Ms. Pan's home at around 8:00 p.m. on March 22. No one answered the door. They waited nearby and kept knocking on the door until 7:00 a.m. next day. Ms. Pan's husband suffered a heart attack because of this unexpected terror. He dared not stay at home and went to his relative's home to avoid the harassment. Ms. Pan's son once witnessed the police taking his mother away and ransacking their home. He was also beaten for trying to protect his mother. He feared that such a thing would happen again and was so frightened that he cried and did not dare to return home.
Ms. Pan owes a large amount of money due to persecution-caused extortion in 2007 and still cannot clear the debt. She has to work daily to pay it off .

7. [Guangzhou, Guangdong Province] Mr. Liu Hongdian Still Held in Custody; Grossly Abused and Tortured
Mr. Liu Hongdian from Guangzhou was subjected to two years of forced labor, but his continued high blood pressure disqualified him from admittance to the labor camp. He has been held at the Shawan Detention Center in Fanyu for more than six months, since October 7, 2009.
He held a persecution protest hunger strike prior to the 2010 Chinese New Year . Mr. Liu was tortured with "Threading a Needle," a method that involves handcuffing the hands and feet and chains crossing under the crotch. The victim is unable to stand or walk normally. Mr. Liu was not released from this torture until four days later.
8. [Inner Mongolia] The Persecution of Practitioners from the Elunchun Autonomous Prefecture
Many practitioners from the Elunchun Autonomous Prefecture were arrested, subjected to forced labor, harassed, had their homes ransacked, and moved away from home to avoid the persecution between 2009 and March 2010. They included Mr. Cao Jihai from Qianjin Village and Mr. Wang Xiaodong, Mr. Gao Yuchang, and Ms. Zhen Haiyan from Xinhua Village. Mr. Wang Xiaodong was subjected to forced labor. Mr. Pi Changfu, his wife and daughter from the Zhalaihe Farm, and Ms. Wang Guiying from the Nuominhe Farm were also arrested.
Practitioners from Dayangshu Town included Ms. Wang Xuemei, Ms. Wang Guilan, Ms. Fan Fengying, Ms. Fan Fengzhen, Ms. Liu Peiyu, Ms. Liao Wenbo, Ms. Sun Lifeng, Mr. Jin, Ms. Zhang Liyan, Ms. Yang Zhongzhi and her non practitioner husband, and Ms. Cao Caixia. They were subjected to one year of forced labor, were first held in Tumuji Forced Labor Camp and are now at the Elunchun Detention Center.
A group of officers from the Qiaodong Police Station ransacked Mr. Zhang Liaokui's home in December 2009. They pried the door open and confiscated his Falun Gong books and several photocopiers (he used to run a copy shop). Mr. Zhang suffered tremendous distress. He died on January 9, 2010.
Eleven practitioners including Mr. Pi Changfu, his wife and daughter, Mr. Gao Yuchang, Ms. Wang Guilan, Ms. Fan Fengying, Ms. Fan Fengzhen, Ms. Wang Xuemei, Ms. Liao Wenbo, Mr. Jin, and Ms. Zhen Haiyan were brought to trial on March 9, 2010.
9. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Mr. Su Xianwei Incarcerated at a Brainwashing Facility
Mr. Su Xianwei's term of detention expired on March 22, 2010, but he was then taken to the Fushun Brainwashing Center
10. [Shenzhen, Guangdong Province] The Persecution of Ms. Yang Suqun, Mr. Xiao Peisheng, and Ms. Wei Leijuan
Ms. Yang Suqun, Ms. Xiao Peisheng, and Ms. Wei Leijuan were held in the Futian Detention Center for 15 days. Ms. Yang was there from January 28 to February 11, 2010, and Ms. Wei was from January 19 to February 3, 2010.
Futian Police Station officers arrested Ms. Wei on the morning on January 19, 2010, on her way home after she had taken her five-year-old child to kindergarten. The police found the key to her home on her and ransacked it when nobody was in. They confiscated one copy of Zhuan Falun, a laptop computer, a printer, a U drive, and Falun Gong materials.
11. [Yuanqu County, Shanxi Province] Ms. An Xiaorun Still Held in Custody
Ms. An Xiaorun was arrested on March 18, 2010 as she distributed Falun Gong materials in a residential building. She was taken to a detention center on March 19 and has not been released.
12. [Yi County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Yanling Put on Trial
Ms. Jiang Yanling has been held at the Jinzhou City No. 4 Detention Center for three months. Yi County Court officials covertly transported her from Jinzhou to the Yi County Court on the afternoon of March 23, 2010. They put her on trial without going through any legal procedures and without informing her family.

13. [Baoding, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Shufen Held in Custody
Ms. Yang Shufen was arrested on March 6, 2010, and is now in the Baoding Detention Center.
14. [Ningbo, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Li Yaling's Whereabouts Unknown
Ms. Li Yaling from Chaiqiao Town in the Beilun District was subjected to persecution; her whereabouts are unknown.
15. [Dongguang County, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Wenyuan and Mr. Zhuang Lianzhi Held at a Detention Center
Xiakou Town Police Station officers arrested Mr. Liu Wenyuan on the evening of March 22 and Mr. Zhuang Lianzhi on the morning of March 23, 2010. The two are now in the Dongguang Detention Center.
16. [Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Meng Zhaohong Held in Prison
Ms. Meng Zhaohong is in the Harbin Women's Prison in Ward 9.
