(Clearwisdom.net) On September 12, 2009, I attended a cultural festival. As I walked with my head down, a woman suddenly appeared before me and stopped me. She excitedly called out my name and patted my shoulder.
She was a middled-aged lady, to whom I had previously given a DVD copy of Shen Yun while she was recovering from an injury. I asked her if she had seen it, and she said that she had, several times in fact. She told me that when she watched the show, she had a very excited feeling, as if "a god came to look after me!"
She is a non-management worker for our company. Early last year, she had a car accident and was injured. As a result, her medical expenses not only exhausted her and her husband's savings, but they were also forced into debt. On August 17, 2009, when I visited her, I noted that she was on crutches. Since her apartment is on the fifth floor without an elevator, she couldn't leave her apartment.
Yet, today I saw her without crutches. She was wearing a hat and was happy to chat with me. She was very excited. Lately, she said that she'd been going out everyday. She said that she appreciated me a lot, because even her sisters had not come to visit her. Also, even though we were not related, I had lent her money. Before that, she hadn't had money to spend for several days.
Later I went to visit her again, and I saw her walk up the narrow stairs all by herself, which was amazing! She was determined to get well and return to work by September 16, when her leave of absence was over.
She also mentioned that her doctor hadn't been optimistic about her recovery. Even her relatives from other provinces didn't want to send her more money because they didn't want to waste it. Yet, her health improved daily. Her husband told her that she didn't need to go through another examination as long as she felt well.
I can't fully express in words the way she looked at the festival: her eyes were full of tears and she kept repeating the same words, "A god came to look after me; it must be that gods came to look after me."
