(Clearwisdom.net) On December 22, 2010, Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of the Singaporean Consulate to protest the Singaporean government’s actions against Falun Gong practitioners. Since 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has not only persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in China, but has also extended the persecution overseas using economic and diplomatic means to exert pressure on other countries. In Singapore, many Chinese Falun Gong practitioners face immense difficulties to renew visas or apply for permanent residence or citizenship. Many were forced to go to other countries. Since 2006, the Singaporean government has even canceled the legal residence permits of Chinese Falun Gong practitioners and deported them to China. In 2010, two Chinese Falun Gong practitioners were forced to leave because their valid legal residence permits were canceled. Recently, the Singaporean government has attempted to deport Chinese Falun Gong practitioner Cui Erqin to China, which caught the attention of Falun Gong practitioners around the world.

Mr. Sen Yang, head of the Mid-USA Falun Dafa Association, said, “Since 1999, the Singaporean government and police departments have conducted business following the CCP’s intentions. Now they are attempting to deport a Falun Gong practitioner with a legal residence permit. Everyone knows that more than 3,000 Falun Gong practitioners have been tortured to death in China. We don’t want to see another tragedy.”
Regarding Singapore’s attitude towards Falun Gong practitioners, Mr. Yang said, “I think it is a disgrace to Singapore that such a thing is happening in a country that calls itself democratic. Actually many Singaporean people like Falun Gong very much, and many people practice Falun Gong there. The Singaporean government knows very well what Falun Gong is and what Falun Gong’s principles are. Even Singaporean police officers have said, ‘We have sympathy for you, but we cannot do anything.’ Under pressure from the Singaporean government and its desire to gain favor with the CCP, the police have to do what they don’t want to do. It is a pity. We call on the Singaporean government to stop deporting Falun Gong practitioners to China.”
(Clearwisdom.net) Upon hearing that the Singaporean government recently arbitrarily canceled a Falun Gong practitioner's residence permit and attempted to deport her to China, Vancouver practitioners expressed concern and called upon the Singaporean government to choose to side with the righteous.
Ms. Nie Ge was once subjected to the same persecution years ago in Singapore. However, the Canadian government later accepted her as a refugee and she now lives in Vancouver. She has a first-hand understanding of the practitioner's situation in Singapore.
After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, Ms. Nie was subjected to detention by the Chinese authorities four times in one and a half years. Ms. Nie traveled to Singapore in November 2002 to visit her only daughter, and was issued a five-year long-term visitor's visa, valid until May 2009. The Singaporean Ministry of Manpower approved her work permit three times. However, in June 2006, the Singaporean authorities suddenly announced that her work permit and visitor's visa were canceled, and ordered her to leave Singapore in seven days. After that, two police officers and two plainclothes police officers arrived at Ms. Nie's workplace. They handcuffed her hands behind her back and forcibly took her downstairs from the sixth floor and put her into a police vehicle, intending to deport her to China.
Ms. Nie later managed to leave Singapore and sought asylum in another country. After three years of hardship, Ms. Nie arrived in Vancouver, Canada in April 2009. With regard to the current situation of the Singaporean government attempting to deport Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Cui Erqin, who was accompanying her son in his studies in Singapore, Ms. Nie said that although Singapore claims to be a democratic country, it has become a vassal of the CCP. Dozens of Falun Gong practitioners have been forced to leave Singapore. She called upon the Singaporean government to correct its mistake and choose to side with the righteous.
Ms. Liu, who had lived in Singapore for nine years and later immigrated to Vancouver, also witnessed the Singapore government's misdeeds in following the CCP in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. She hopes that the Singapore government can understand the truth, and not follow the CCP's lead in persecuting Falun Gong.
Vancouver practitioners call upon people of conscience throughout the world to step forward to help stop this persecution that has persisted for eleven and a half years in China.
(Clearwisdom.net) On December 20, Chen Yunlin, President of the Association of Relations Across the Taiwan Straits, the body responsible for negotiations with Taiwan in mainland China, visited the Old Palace, a tourist spot in Taipei. Local Falun Gong practitioners were assembled outside and shouted “Falun Dafa is good!” “Stop persecuting Falun Gong!” and “The world needs truthfulness-compassion-forbearance!”

Chen Yunlin is not directly involved in the persecution of Falun Gong in China, but he is a representative of the Chinese government, so the practitioners wanted to pass on their wishes to him.
Dr. Jiang Chihsian, an economics professor, said that the persecution of Falun Gong in China is very severe. The Chinese government even harvests organs from living practitioners for profit. He said: “Falun Gong is welcome in the world, and only the evil Communist Party is persecuting it, so we want the persecution to end immediately.”
Mr. Hong Chingjiang, a local citizen who does not practice Falun Gong, said: “Falun Gong practitioners are being persecuted by the Communist Party, so they recognize the evil nature of the Party. However, many Taiwanese don't.” He hopes that more Taiwanese will see clearly how evil the Party is.
(Clearwisdom.net) On December 21, 2010, in its 17th session, the Yilan County Council passed a resolution calling on the Mainland Committee and Immigration Bureau to investigate whether Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials applying for entry into Taiwan have been involved in severe human rights violations, and to deny their entry if they are found to have violated human rights. The resolution also requests the Yilan government and non-governmental organizations to not welcome, support, or invite to Taiwan CCP officials who seriously violate human rights. The resolution was sponsored by Council Member Chiang Tseng-yuan and co-signed by another 27 council members.
So far, besides the Legislative Committee, which passed a similar resolution, eleven county or city councils including Kaohsiung City, Changhua County, Miaoli County, Hualian County, Yunlin County, Chiayi City, Kaohsiung County, Taidong County, Chiayi County, and Yilan County have passed this human rights resolution.

On December 22, council members Chiang Tseng-yuan, Lai Jui-ding, Wu Fu-tian, and Huang Shi-chao, who co-signed the resolution, held a press conference in the Yilan County Council. Mr. Chiang said, “Currently, economic and commercial trade across the strait is very prevalent. Taiwanese people don’t know the purpose of some mainland visitors and the background of some CCP officials. It is a crisis for Taiwan. We call on the central and local governments to look into these issues carefully.”
Council member Lai Jui-ding said, ‘Human rights are a universal value and Taiwan has successfully striven for many years to safeguard human rights. China is an authoritarian country that persecutes human rights. Chinese officials who have had major roles in the denial of human rights and have been promotion by the CCP because of these activities, may have opportunities to visit Taiwan. It is definitely a great irony for Taiwan, a country that upholds human rights, to welcome such CCP officials.”
Mr. Lai continued, “We hope that this resolution will encourage all people to learn more about human rights, and to become fully aware of the CCP’s persecution of human rights, especially the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. We hope that the CCP’s deliberate trampling of human rights can be exposed.”
The resolution also stated that the media disclosed that Guangdong Province Governor Huang Huahua, Shanxi Province Interim Governor Zhao Zhengyong, Director Wang Zuoan of the CCP Religious Affairs Bureau, and Hubei Provincial CCP Committee Secretary Yang Seng were sued in the high court during their visits to Taiwan for their participation in the persecution of Falun Gong. They have committed crimes of genocide and torture, and violated international conventions on civil and political rights. The Taiwanese Falun Dafa Association filed lawsuits in the Prosecutor's office of the high court against these human rights violators.
(Clearwisdom.net) On December 18 and 19, 2010, the annual Luchu Tomato Festival was held in Luchu Park, Luchu Township, Kaohsiung County, Taiwan. Falun Dafa practitioners were invited to participate in the festival, which was packed with visitors. In Luchu township, tomatoes are a major produce, as this area is the largest tomato grower south of the Chianan plains.

The organizers noticed that Falun Gong has been very popular, so they provided a free booth to the practitioners. Inside the park, many people came to the booth to ask for more materials about Falun Gong and paid close attention to the ongoing persecution in China.
Falun Dafa practitioners performed waist drums and Tang drums on both days. Many people were impressed when they learned that the performers were all volunteers who used their spare time to practice and perform to help people see the beauty of Falun Dafa and the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Before the demonstration, a Falun Dafa practitioner introduced the exercises to the audience. He said that the Falun Gong exercises focus on improving one's moral standard and doing good deeds, and they have very good healing effects. People from all over the world have benefited from the exercises. As of now, Falun Gong has spread to over one hundred countries, and practitioners can improve the health of both mind and body.
During the demonstration, many people learned the exercises in front of the stage.
(Clearwisdom.net) The International Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition was held in the Midtown Building in Bangkok from December 14 to 19, 2010. Prof. Songkun Atthahorn, an art professor of a local university, and Wanna Suthistossatham, the manager of the Midtown Building, gave speeches at the opening ceremony.

Prof. Songkun said that the artworks purify one's spirit and that the exhibition will positively impact society.
The exhibition has been held in more than 200 cities in 40 countries. This was the first viewing in Bangkok. Many local citizens enjoyed the artworks and were shocked by the brutality of the persecution that was exposed through the paintings.
Many people said that the persecution is evil and everyone should have freedom of belief. They felt lucky to live in the free world. Several Chinese tourists also expressed their support to the Falun Gong practitioners.

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lu Yaxuan has been tortured severely during the past ten years of brutal persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). She was illegally detained six times, sent to a forced labor camp once, and sentenced to prison once.
On May 19, 2000, Ms. Lu went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. Right after she returned home, she was arrested by policeman Yu Hongwu from the Nanshan Road Police Station in Jiutai, and sent to a detention center. Two days later, hospital president Jia Shuhua, clerk Zhao Shuhua, record clerk Xing Jie, Shi Jingtang, and personnel from the Tuberculosis Hospital in Jilin Province went to Ms. Lu's home. Jia Shuhua made Ms. Lu sign a termination notification letter. The communist party committee decided to fire Ms. Lu from work.
On June 22, 2000, Ms. Lu went to Beijing, where she was again arrested by personnel from the Changchun Liaison Office and then detained in a hotel. Two policemen from the Political Affairs and Defense Section of the Jiutai Police Department took her back to Jiutai. Ms. Lu was detained at the Jiutai Detention Center for ten days, and was sent to a forced labor camp for a year. She was forced to work for 16 to 20 hours a day without a midday break.
After Ms. Lu was released from the forced labor camp, she worked as a temporary employee with a former employer. In August of 2001, Ms. Lu and other female Falun Gong practitioners had 200 yuan confiscated from them by two policemen while clarifying the truth in the residential area of Yingkuang.
On the morning of September 22, 2001, Yu Hongwu and another policeman from the Nanshan Road Police Station in Jiutai went to the hospital where Ms. Lu worked. They tried to make Ms. Lu write a guarantee letter, but Ms. Lu refused. Yu Hongwu got angry, and he and two other policemen dragged Ms. Lu down the stairs by her feet. Ms. Lu's head hit the stairs and made a loud noise. She shouted, “The police are wrongfully arresting people!” Employees from the first and second floor went to the stairs to look. Ms. Lu was dragged from the third floor all the way down to the police car outside. She was taken to the Nanshan Road Police Station and was detained for six hours.
At 11:00 p.m. on September 28, 2001, about five policemen from the Political Affairs and Defense Section of the city police department went to Ms. Lu's home intending to arrest her. However, she was not home. The policemen said they would go back the next day and parked a police car behind her building to monitor her. Ms. Lu was forced to stay away from home in order to avoid being arrested.
In the mid-morning of November 28, 2002, Ms. Lu was arrested on the sixth floor of a residential building by Li Dahai, and five other policemen from the Political Affairs and the Defense Section of the Jiutai Police Department. She was dragged to the police car and taken to the first floor in the Jiutai Police Department building. Policemen covered Ms. Lu's head with a coat, and punched and kicked her. They tied her up on the tiger bench. They tied her feet and forced them downward, tied her hands and pulled them upward, and then they placed a metal bar on her hands and pressed them downward. Ms. Lu's arms suffered severe nerve damage, and she could not lift her left arm for several months.
That night, section chief Liu from the Changchun Police Department and two other policemen interrogated Ms. Lu. Liu punched Ms. Lu in the temple, knocking her unconscious. They poured cold water on Ms. Lu to wake her up. Then policeman Qu Chunsen came in, sneered and asked her, “How was it?” Ms. Lu did not say anything. Ms. Lu was tortured for nearly 30 hours, during which time she was not allowed to eat, drink, or use the bathroom. Ms. Lu was sent to the Jiutai Detention Center on November 29.
On November 7, 2003, the Jiutai Court planned to unlawfully sentence Ms. Lu. At 7:00 that morning, a group of policemen went into the women's ward and started to drag Ms. Lu out. Ms. Lu resisted. The policemen then dragged and beat her at the same time. By the time she was dragged outside, her coat and sweaters had both come off. Several policemen used rope as thick as a finger to bind her. Her hands were cuffed behind her and she was carried into the police car. Once they got to the courthouse, Ms. Lu started to shout, and several policemen started beating her. A policeman punched her in the mouth, knocking out one of her front teeth. A policeman behind her strangled her neck with a rope and she could not breathe. They pulled her into a room and started the hearing. Ms. Lu was not allowed to talk or defend herself. Several policemen stood next to her. They would punch and shock her with an electric baton if she made a sound. Ms. Lu sat on the floor because she could not get up after all the beatings. She was sentenced to eight years in prison.
Ms. Lu appealed the sentence, and the Changchun Middle Court convened on January 9, 2004. However, they did not change her sentence. They immediately sent Ms. Lu to the Changchun Women's Prison. They did not allow Ms. Lu's family to visit her or to send any clothing for her.
(Clearwisdom.net) The following information relates to 16 practitioners from Shijiazhuang City, unless otherwise stated, who have been illegally arrested and are now detained at Hebei Province Women's Prison.
1. Ms. Yu Jingxia lives in Apartment 401, 2nd Unit of the No.10 Building in North Bolin District, Shijiazhuang. Her husband, Mr. Zhang Lingjiang, is also a practitioner, and they both follow the principles of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance as their guiding principles in everyday life.
In order to expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) crimes against Falun Gong, Mr. Zhang and several other practitioners rented a house and used it to print truth-clarification materials. Mr. Zhang was arrested at the house on September 28, 2001, and was sentenced to twelve years in July 2003. He is now detained in the 3rd Division of the No.1 Hebei Prison in Baoding City.
The police also tried to find Ms. Yu, forcing her to become homeless. She was arrested by officers from the Xinhua Police Station at around 3 p.m. on January 19, 2004, when she went to a clothing store to visit her relatives. Ms. Yu was detained at the No.2 Shijiazhuang Detention Center. She went on a hunger strike to protest her persecution. As a result, she became extremely weak and was released on medical grounds. She lived at home, but was constantly monitored by the police. On the morning of April 29, 2004, officers from the Xinhua Police Station arrested Ms. Yu again and took her back to the No. 2 Detention Center. She was sentenced to ten years in prison.
When Ms. Yu was arrested, her younger sister had to look after her 14-year old daughter Ms. Zhang Lu. Officers from the Xinhua Police Station and the Shigangdajie Police Station went to Ms. Zhang's school to harass her and forced her to stop going to school for a year. Her school records were also lost, and she could not go back to the same school. With the help of a friend, she was later able to go to a different school in Shijiazhuang.
Every time Ms. Zhang went to visit her parents, the guards told her lies to try to damage her relationship with her parents. She had to endure a tremendous amount of pressure at such a young age.
Ms. Yu is now detained at the No.3 Division at Hebei Women's Prison. She has insisted on protesting against the persecution by going on a hunger strikes, and has suffered brutal beatings and violent brainwashing sessions. She has been tortured to near death several times, but still refuses to give up her belief. The guards have ordered four inmates to monitor Ms. Yu 24 hours a day.
2. Ms. Li Xiumin, 51, was a college teacher at the Hebei Science and Technology College and was an honored employee for four consecutive years. When she was young, she was frail and had many illnesses. After starting the practice of Falun Gong in 1995, all of her illnesses disappeared.

Since the persecution began in July 1999, Ms. Li has been sentenced to over four years in a forced labor camp. She has suffered brutal torture and has endured extreme mental pressure.
When Ms. Li was arrested and tortured on May 23, 2007, the retinas in her eyes were severely damaged and her facial nerves shook uncontrollably. She also developed a benign tumor in her uterus. Officials from the Shijiazhuang District Court sentenced Ms. Li to five years in October 2007. She was detained in the sick-and-elderly group at Hebei Women's Prison in February 2008, where her illnesses became worse. She had blood coming from her lower body, and her eyes were so bad that she could not see a person standing right in front of her.
Since July 19, 2007, Ms. Li's elderly parents have tried to request that she be released on medical grounds. They visited various law enforcement agencies such as the police station, Procuratorate, and the courts, but they all tried to shirk responsibility. Ms. Li's parents were told that they would not allow an attorney to be involved and refused their request. Her father become ill and was bedridden, while her mother, Ms. Li Xiangzhi, went to visit all kinds of government offices to help her, but had no success. She later had a heart attack. Ms. Li Xiangzhi lost consciousness and was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment on July 29, 2008. When she was released, Zhao Hongying, Ms. Li Xiumin's cousin, had to take care of her.
A group of police officers broke into their home and arrested Zhao Hongying in May, 2009. They found DVDs of Shen Yun Performing Arts shows and sentenced her to one year and three months in Hebei Women's Forced Labor Camp.
Ms. Li Xiangzhi passed away on June 11, 2009. Her family members went to Hebei Women's Prison to ask if they would allow Ms. Li to see her mom one last time. The prison authorities refused her family's request.
3. Ms. Wang Sanying is an employee at Youfu Hospital in Shijiazhuang. She and her husband have a son, but because her husband was laid off, she had to support the family financially. Ms. Wang used to suffer from gynecological diseases, dizziness, fatigue and arthritis. She became short-tempered because of her illnesses and often argued with people. When she began to practice Falun Gong in 1997, all of her illnesses disappeared. She also became calmer and stopped having conflicts with others.

Ms. Wang was arrested on the afternoon of June 3, 2008, when she was told to leave work and go home. She was then arrested by officers from the local police station and the National Security Bureau. The police had harassed Ms. Wang several days earlier, and told her that during the Olympic Games the authorities would be very strict on Falun Gong practitioners. Her home was ransacked, and her cash and bank deposit receipts were confiscated. She was later detained at the No.2 Shijiazhuang Detention Center.
On September 18, 2008, the Xinhua Procuratorate transferred Ms. Wang's case to the Xinhua District Court in Shijiazhuang. An open trial was held at Xinhua Court on October 31, 2008, to hear Ms. Wang's case. Two lawyers defended her in court. The lawyers' defense was well organized, reasonable and convincing. The prosecution and the judge were left speechless. After the court hearing, nearly forty of Ms. Wang's relatives and friends signed a letter requesting that the court release Ms. Wang and acquit her.
The judge from the Xinhua Court contacted the Intermediate People's Court on January 20, 2009, and sentenced Ms. Wang to four years in prison. The court decision was announced on January 21. Ms. Wang was sent to Hebei Women's Prison on April 2, 2009.
4 & 5. Ms. Liu Shuqin and Ms. Wang Bo are mother and daughter. Ms. Liu is an employee at the Changan sub-branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank in Shijiazhuang, and Ms. Wang was admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music for her outstanding accomplishments on the piano. Ms. Wang's father, Mr. Wang Xinzhong, works at the Shijiazhuang Rail Road sub-depot.

The whole family has been repeatedly arrested, fined, detained, their home ransacked, and sent to forced labor camps and brainwashing centers because of their belief. On July 27, 2006, they were arrested again by the police from Shijiazhuang. Ms. Liu and Ms. Wang were sentenced to four and five years respectively. On June 15, 2007, Ms. Liu and Ms. Wang were sent to Hebei Women's Prison, and Mr. Wang was sent to Jidong Prison.
6. Ms. Lu Shufen was reported to the authorities on the afternoon of November 14, 2007, when she was seen talking to people about Falun Gong in Luan County, Shijiazhuang. She was later arrested by officers from the Luan 610 Office and the Chengguan Police Station, and was held at the Luan Detention Center. Around May, 2008, Ms. Lu was sentenced to seven years.
Ms. Lu went on a hunger strike for over a month and became extremely weak. On August 10, 2008, she was taken to Hebei Women's Prison.
7. Ms. Lu Shu'e is over 60 years old and from Luan County. Before practicing Falun Gong she suffered from many illnesses, including rheumatoid arthritis. All her illnesses disappeared when she started practicing, and she became a healthy person.
Ms. Lu was sentenced to four years in 2001, and was released in 2005. She was then reported to the authorities when she was seen talking to people about Falun Gong on July 31, 2008. She was arrested by officers from the Qiandazhang Police Station in Zhao County, and was detained at Zhao Detention Center. On October 20, personnel from the Zhao Public Security Bureau sentenced her to four years in prison.
When Ms. Lu and her family appealed, the city court decided to uphold the original decision. Ms. Lu protested her persecution and went on a hunger strike for over two weeks, and became extremely weak. She was transferred to the Hebei Women's Prison on January 4, 2009.
8. Ms. Qie Lili, 32, was an outstanding teacher at Xili Elementary School in Shijiazhuang. Since the persecution started she has been detained seven times, totaling four and a half years, and was forced to become homeless for a total of three years. She has had nearly 20,000 yuan extorted from her, and had countless personal belongings confiscated. Her mother tried to appeal for justice and was detained for nearly one year. Her father became very fearful of harassment from the police.
At around 4:30 p.m on August 1, 2008, Ms. Qie was arrested by Zhang Xianli, a policeman from the Shijiazhuang National Security Bureau, while she was having a meeting with some of her clients. Ms. Qie was sentenced to four years in prison on May 12, 2009, and later submitted an appeal to the Shijiazhuang Intermediate People's Court. Ms. Qie was transferred to Hebei Women's Prison on August 17, 2009.
9. Ms. Qian Mei, over 40 years old, used to be a teacher at the No.2 School on Nanxiao Street. In November 2000, she was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp. While she was talking to people about Falun Gong on May 22, 2008, and helping them to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party, she was reported to the authorities. The police followed her to her new work unit at the No.1 Nursery School in Shijiazhuang and arrested her. Officers from the Xinshi Police Station in Shijiazhuang ransacked her home, and confiscated over a dozen Falun Dafa books and her child's computer. Ms. Qian was detained at the No.1 Shijiazhuang Detention Center. She was transferred to Hebei Women's Prison on July 2, 2009.
10. Ms. Sun Li, over 50 years old, is a former employee of the Diamond Group. She lives with her mother Ms. Gao Yunwei, who is nearly 80 years old, in apartment 4-1-101 of the Agricultural Research Institute on the North Huaibei Road.
Ms. Sun was arrested on September 6, 2005, when police found her in possession of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and other truth-clarification materials. A trial was held in the Yuhua District Court on February 28, 2006, where she was defended by her husband, Mr. Pan Peida, as no lawyer dared to defend her because she is a Falun Gong practitioner. Mr. Pan told the court that there is nothing wrong with believing in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and explained how his wife had become a healthy person after practicing Falun Gong. The court heard how Ms. Sun had printed truth-clarification materials and made some CDs, which is protected by the Constitution and was done under the protection of freedom of belief and freedom of speech. Ms. Sun also told the court about the persecution and appealed for a stop to the persecution of fellow practitioners.
Ms. Sun was then sentenced to five and a half years in prison. When she appealed to the Shijiazhuang Intermediate People's Court, she also went on a hunger strike. Her family members also demanded her release. This action forced the court officials to hold a re-trial. A 2nd hearing was held in Yuhua Court on May 12, 2006, while Ms. Sun and her family continued to appeal to the Shijiazhuang Intermediate People's Court. On July 19, 2006, the court upheld the original verdict and Ms. Sun was sent to Hebei Women's Prison.
11. Ms. Liu Runling, 46, is a former employee at the Yuji Daily Chemical Co., Ltd. She began to practice cultivation in 1996. Her husband, Mr. Yang, used to work at China Youth Daily, and started to practice Falun Gong in 1995.

In order to avoid persecution, Ms. Liu and her husband were forced to become homeless on September 29, 2000. They were arrested in the Kaida District in Shijiazhuang on September 28, 2001, and were both sentenced to 11 years in prison on September 9, 2002. Ms. Liu was taken to the Hebei Women's Prison. Mr. Yang was detained at the No.11 Division of the Shijiazhuang North Suburban Prison (formerly the Hebei No.4 Prison), where he was often locked in solitary confinement, force-fed, physically tortured and deprived of sleep for long periods of time. Such brutal treatment led Mr. Yang to contract tuberculosis and spinal necrosis, which left him paralyzed. He died on January 26, 2006, at the age of 40.
Ms. Yang Wenjing was only 11 years old when her parents were arrested. When Mr. Yang passed away, Ms. Yang was sixteen and would not go to the prison to visit her mother. She also refused to have any relatives take care of her. At such a young age, she stopped going to school and began working to support herself.
Mr. Yang's parents, Ms. Liu's parents-in-law, Yang Gentian and Cui Fugui are all over 70 years old and need others to take care of them.
12. Ms. Wang Yunman is around 55, and was an employee at the Shijiazhuang Plastics Factory. After practicing Falun Gong, her ailments, including heart disease, chest tightness and insomnia, disappeared. She has been to Beijing to appeal against the persecution four times and has been detained 11 times. Ms. Wang has also been on a hunger strike six times.
In August 2001, Ms. Wang was arrested and detained at the No.2 Shijiazhuang Detention Center. She then went on a hunger strike for several months, and was refused permission for medical parole, which resulted in her nearly dying. Ms. Wang was secretly sentenced to 10 years on September 9, 2002, and was sent to the Women's Team in Taihang Prison, Hebei Province on May 19, 2003. She was later transferred to Hebei Women's Prison.
13. Ms. Zhang Li, over 40 years old, is from Xinji in Hebei. She was sentenced to ten years in prison in November 2001, and was detained at Taihang Prison. She was later transferred to Hebei Women's Prison.
14. Ms. Han Dongmei, over 50 years old, lives in apartment 503, Unit 2, No. 2 Building in Beijinma District. In the evening of May 10, 2004, under orders from the Yuhua District 610 Office and the Shijiazhuang police, officers from the Yudong Police Department arrested her and ransacked her home. Ms. Han was detained at the No.2 Shijiazhuang Detention Center. On September 17, 2004, the Shijiazhuang Intermediate People's Court sentenced Ms. Han to 7 years in prison. She was detained at Taihang Prison and was later transferred to Hebei Women's Prison.
15. Ms. Yang Jianmei, around 55, was an employee of the East Bridge Department of the Drainage Company in Shijiazhuang. She was detained when she went to appeal for Falun Gong after July 20, 1999. She was sentenced to 12 years and taken to Hebei Women's Prison in 2000, because she printed Falun Gong informational materials.
16. Ms. Du Yanfang from apartment 302, Unit 3, Building No. 40 in North Jinma District, had many illnesses that disappeared when she started to practice Falun Gong. In the morning of May 14, 2004, under orders from the Yuhua 610 Office and the Shijiazhuang police, officers from the Yudong Police Department arrested Ms. Du and ransacked her home. She was detained at the No.2 Shijiazhuang Detention Center. On September 17, 2004, Ms. Du was sentenced to seven years by the Shijiazhuang Intermediate People's Court.
(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Chen Meng, a teacher at the Bayingolin No. 2 Middle School, in Korla, Xinjiang, and Ms. Fan Baoming, a staff member from the Electric Power Bureau in Xinjiang, were illegally arrested by police from the Korla City Domestic Security Division in August 2009 for printing Falun Gong materials.
Both practitioners have been persecuted in forced labor camps before. In November 2010, they were unlawfully sentenced to eight years in prison without being given a trial. Another practitioner, Ms. Dong Xiuyun, was also sentenced to seven years in prison at the same time. They are imprisoned at the Second Women's Prison in Xinjiang.
In June 2010, four practitioners from Korla City, Xinjiang were arrested. They were Ms. Cui Jiafang, 59 years old; Ms. Zhuang Ying, 44 years old; Ms. He Lidong, 42 years old; and Ms. He Maohua, 39 years old.
The Women's Prison in Xinjiang has a notoriously long history of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Ms. Zhao Shuyuan, a practitioner from Urumqi City in Xinjiang has been imprisoned there since July 2004. Though she was tortured, she refused to give up her belief and practice of Falun Gong. She tore up the Chinese Communist Party's propaganda material about Falun Gong. The guards then handcuffed her to a bed for several months. When she was last seen in September 2005, Ms. Zhao was still cuffed and her sentence had been extended for another year.

1. [Wuan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Han Kuilin Arrested
Mr. Wu Kuilin lives in Luoyibeizhuang, Datong Town, Wuan City. On the morning of December 23, 2010, he was arrested at the Datong Police Station when he went there to get a residency certificate. He was taken to the Wuan Detention Center.
2. [Nan County, Hunan Province] Mr. Lu Lihua Arrested
At the end of February 2010, Mr. Lu Lihua and three local practitioners were ready to go out of town to work. They were arrested by the police from Huage Town, Nan County. Mr. Lu managed to escape that night.
On around December 11, 2010, Mr. Lu was arrested at the Yueyang Train Station by police from Huage Town and the Nan County 610 Office. He is being held in the Nan County Detention Center.

3. [Ningxia] Mr. Ma Zhiwu Arrested
On the night of September 9, 2010, Mr. Ma Zhiwu and four other practitioners took a van to Yanchi County in Ningxia. They intended to {{clarify the truth} when they got there. When a policeman saw them, Mr. Ma Zhiwu stalled him and the other four practitioners safely escaped. However, Falun Gong materials, some cash, and the van were taken away. Now Mr. Ma is in the Yanchi Detention Center.
In the past Mr. Ma Zhiwu was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp and five years in prison.
4. [Jilin Province] Guards in the Jilin Prison Had Mr. Zhang Hongwei's Appendix Removed Against His Will
Mr. Zhang Hongwei from Tonghua City was incarcerated in Jilin Prison for ten years. He was confined in a small cell for two years and eight months. During this period, he had tuberculosis; accumulated water in his chest; and developed ulcers, hypertension, and heart disease.. His body and mind were badly tortured.
On October 2, 2010, without informing his family, prison authorities forcibly had Mr. Zhang Hongwei's appendix removed at the Jilin Four-Six-Five Army's Hospital.

Mr. Zhou Yaogang was followed and arrested while he was posting Falun Gong materials. His home was also ransacked. The police took his computer and printer. His current whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Tianjin] Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp Extended Mr. Liu Jinduo's Term
On December 15, 2009, Mr. Liu Jinduo was framed and taken to the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp. His term was for one year. In November 2010, Wu Mingxing from the Third Division illegally extended Mr. Liu's term for three months because he still firmly practices Falun Dafa.
8. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Additional Information about Mr. Xu Xiangzhi and Ms. Xu Cuihua Detained in Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Xu Xiangzhi and his wife, Ms. Xu Cuihua, live in Dafenggu Village, Yuehe Township, Kaiping District, Tangshan. They were arrested and detained in the Changningdao Jail. On the afternoon of December 9, 2010, they were taken to Hehuakeng Forced Labor Camp and Kaiping Women's Forced Labor Camp, respectively.
On the night of December 9, 2010, Ms. Xu Cuihua was released because of a heart attack.
9. [Jiayu County, Hubei Province] Additional Information about the Arrest of Mr. Zhang Hu
Mr. Zhang Hu, about 30 years old, lives in Yuchi Harbor, Jiayu County. He was reported to police for distributing Falun Gong materials. He was picked up by local police officers and taken to the Jiayu Detention Center.
10. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhu Yanhua Arrested
On the morning of December 5, 2010, Ms. Zhu Yanhua from the Shahekou District in Dalian was taken away from her home by officers from the Xinggongjie Police Station. The police also took many of her belongings. That afternoon, she was taken to Yaojia Detention Center.

At noon on December 13, 2010, officers from the 610 Office and Police Department of Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County in Qinhuangdao barged into the home of Ms. Guo Kunlan in Hetaogou Village, Dawulan Townhip, and ransacked it. The police took her computer, printer, and other property. Ms. Guo was taken to the Qinglong Detention Center.

On the afternoon of December 12, 2010, Ms. Li Yan, in her 30s, was held in Shenzhenwan Port in the Nanshan District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, when she was traveling to Hong Kong with her Chinese passport. That night, she was taken to the Shenzhenwan Police Station. She is being detained in the Nanshan Detention Center.
(Clearwisdom.net) I would like to take this opportunity to share my cultivation experiences and to validate Dafa through my own experiences.
1. Digging Out the Root of My Attachments
When I was just released from the forced labor camp in 2009, criticism from fellow practitioners stirred up my attachment to my reputation. After a period of Fa study and sharing with fellow practitioners, I realized that I must look inward unconditionally to find the root cause of my attachment.
I realized that I didn't truly cultivate myself solidly. On the surface, my work for Fa-rectification was done very well. However, I didn't cultivate myself at the same time. The excuse of being busy in doing Dafa work concealed many attachments that I should get rid of. The most serious one is the affection between a man and a woman. I have been divorced for many years. I tried to forget this thought through busying myself with Dafa work, but it always returned and disturbed me seriously again and again. After I was sent to the forced labor camp, I finally had to give it up.
This serious ordinary human thought weakened my cultivation and provided a field for other attachments to hide. Since my xinxing as a whole didn't reach a higher level, my thoughts and methods stayed at a human level. Although I studied the Fa every day, I didn't do it with a calm mind.
After being arrested and sent to the forced labor camp, the shallowness of my cultivation state was exposed and many thoughts surfaced. I was afraid of being beaten, losing my reputation under torture, losing my life and was unable to tolerate any of this. All I thought about was myself. I forgot all the principles that Master taught and forgot all the teachings of saving sentient beings with compassion. Under this vicious pressure, I wrote the three statements.
Through this painful experience, I found out the fundamental reason for this setback: I hadn't followed Master's teachings. When something within the principles of Dafa appealed to my human side, I would take it seriously, and I ignored everything that didn't. The true state of my cultivation was sealed from the surface because I had done so much Dafa work. Yet the fundamental human notions in me were not touched at all.
After digging out the root of my attachments, I was really anxious. I had just touched the surface of cultivation, while Master's Fa-rectification was getting close to the end. I know that Master must be even more concerned than I was. I held my hands in front of my chest and said to Master, “From now on, I will cultivate myself from the beginning. As long as Fa-rectification is still going on, I will cultivate myself solidly.”
2. Studying the Fa and Cultivating Oneself Is the Most Important
After deciding to study the Fa from the beginning, I immediately encountered interference. Suddenly, I became very busy at work. For one or two weeks, I didn't even have time to study the Fa each day. Even when I was studying the Fa or doing the exercises, my mind was not focused and many everyday thoughts were surfacing in my mind.
I knew that this situation was very dangerous. The old forces wanted to destroy me by not letting me study the Fa or send forth righteous thoughts. I sent out a thought, “I only listen to Master and I'm in charge of my field of time and space. ”
I decided to memorize the Fa again. I forced myself to study the Fa immediately after coming back from work and do other things later. I would first memorize and recite Zhuan Falun for half an hour and then study the Fa for an hour. I took time to study the Fa, read the articles on the Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom) and do Fa-rectification work.
Gradually, my mind became calm. Memorizing and reciting the Fa led me to have a deeper understanding of the Fa. My mind could concentrate more when sending forth righteous thoughts. After a while, I could feel my own field of time-space become more clear and bright.
I realized that one of the ways the old forces interfere with practitioners is to make them busy. This made me unable to study the Fa and therefore I followed the arrangements of the old forces. When my mind was able to abide by the Fa, the situation completely changed. I seemed to be less busy now, and I still have time to do the three things daily after finishing my work.
When I was held in a detention center in 2007, a fellow practitioner who was over 50 and from another city was sent to my cell one day. She always quietly sat there. I knew she was reciting the Fa, doing the exercises or sending forth righteous thoughts. She didn't talk much and had a kind, harmonious expression. Ordinary people in the cell all liked to be close to her. Later, we worked together to advise people in the cell to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its associated organizations. I was very capable in talking, but she did better than me. There was a woman in the cell whose appearance was very vicious, and I didn't like to be near her. The fellow practitioner advised her to withdraw from the CCP and she agreed quickly. She also advised some others successfully with a few words, whom I thought would be hard to persuade . I remembered what Master said,
“...the depth of Ding indicates one's level”, “The Buddha-light illuminates everywhere and rectifies all abnormalities.” (Zhuan Falun)
While admiring the fellow practitioner, I also wondered why I could not attain the state that she manifested. Once when we were chatting, she said casually, “You involve yourself socially too much.” We parted ways after I was subjected to forced labor, but her words still remained deeply in my mind.
After Master pointed out the principle of “the appearance stems from the mind” ("Fa Teaching Given at the Epoch Times Meeting"), one day I suddenly realized that it was a false appearance that I was so busy. I was always enthusiastic to help others. It is not wrong in ordinary society, but it is not a correct principle when looking at it from a higher cultivation level. I was busy in my social life because I had too many human thoughts and notions, such as human sentimentality. My inner self was not calm, therefore, my external environment could not be calm. I realized that with the end of Fa-rectification approaching, the requirements for us have become more and more stringent. If I studied the Fa less or didn't seize the time to study, things happened around me, such as my parents becoming ill or my mind becoming unclear when clarifying the truth. Sometimes, whenever I felt impatient, someone would say words directly provoking my mind. During these moments, I learned to look inward to find my attachments and everything around me would eventually calm down.
Not long ago, a friend called me and talked about the conflicts with her husband. We had talked for several evenings and once I even missed the time at midnight to send forth righteous thoughts. I knew it was interference, but still couldn't refrain from chatting with her. She even suggested that I start a friendship with her husband, which caught my attention and I realized there must be something wrong on my end.
I found a deep attachment within myself. I was divorced for many years and I have been hoping to find someone with whom I could have a mutually caring relationship, someone who could depend on me and on whom I could depend as well. Master said,
“It is said, 'When I come to this ordinary human society, it is just like checking in a hotel for a few days. Then I will be on the road in a hurry.'” (Zhuan Falun)
I realized that as a practitioner, how could I start to think of staying here and being reluctant to leave? The next day, I called my friend and surprisingly, she said, “Forget about my suggestion.”
During those few days, my sentimentality surfaced. I even missed the opportunities to clarify the truth to those who I met. I learned from this lesson that our own cultivation state not only affects whether we can reach consummation, but also affects whether the countless sentient beings can be saved. Our lives do not only belong to us; Dafa and Master have put us in a position of becoming great beings that live completely for others.
3. Cultivating Compassion
When I was just released from the labor camp, I was anxious to clarify the truth to people. When others didn't agree with me, I even argued with them.
A classmate from elementary school came to see me on the second day after I returned home. She advised me not to get involved in politics. I immediately argued with her and accused her of lacking conscience. She was very angry with me and didn't contact me for about a year.
My parents used to have misconceptions about Dafa and practitioners because of the CCP's propaganda. Fellow practitioners and I have been clarifying the truth to them. When I was in the labor camp, my father withdrew from the CCP with the help of fellow practitioners. After I returned home, I found out that my parents had changed a lot. However, it was not easy to cleanse the influences the CCP had upon them. Once my mother tried to stop me from clarifying the truth because she worried I would get arrested again. I had a big argument with my parents and left home in tears. Fellow practitioners reminded me that human emotions and the competitive mentality can stir up the negative side of a being, which obstructs with our goal of saving sentient beings. I came to realize this and decided to call home, although it made me lose face since I was the one who ran away from home. My mother answered the phone and she acted like nothing had happened. It seemed that Master had helped me resolve the conflict after I had improved my xinxing. Thank you, Master, for giving me another chance to do better.
From the two incidents above, I realized that I had formed a strong competitive mentality and resentment over the years of the persecution. Affected by these attachments, I couldn't talk to people in a peaceful manner, which only served to push them away.
Since then, I have been paying attention to my attitude when clarifying the truth and do as Master said, “You should always maintain a mind of compassion and serenity.” (Zhuan Falun) I reminded myself, “I am to save him and encourage him just like a divine being would. Do not argue with him like an ordinary person.” When my parents watched the CCTV (state-run media) programs, I silently sent forth righteous thoughts and then told them the real news. My parents gradually got used to listening to me clarify the truth. Eventually, my mother also agreed to withdraw from the CCP and its associated organizations.
Once my father said something bad toward Master and his health soon deteriorated. I knew he didn't know how wonderful Dafa is, although he had withdrawn from the CCP. I was afraid to talk to him about Dafa in the past, but decided to make a breakthrough to truly save him.
I strengthened my efforts of sending forth righteous thoughts to cleanse all of the evil factors in my father's mind and his surroundings. After a few weeks of effort, it seemed to have helped. I knew the evil factors behind him were eliminated. I played the Shen Yun DVD for him. He fell asleep quickly, so I told myself not to lose confidence and continued to send forth righteous thoughts. The next day, I played a DVD of the Shen Yun chorus for him. My father was going to move to another room when he saw that I was going to play the DVD. However, when the music started to play, he stopped. He stood there and listened to three songs before asking me, “Which performance group is this?” I took a chance to introduce Shen Yun. I said to him, “Why not sit down? There are more very good songs.” He indeed sat down. I felt the mighty benevolence of Master. My father was apparently drawn by the songs and the music. He watched the entire DVD with the utmost attention. He even tried to sing along to some of the songs and followed the beat. After that, my father changed completely. He learned to recite the words “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” His health returned and he was finally saved.
Let's go back to my classmate at the elementary school whom I mentioned before. I had tried to call her and send text messages to her. It seemed she didn't want to keep in contact with me at all. Whenever I wanted to give up, there was always a voice in my mind, “Don't give up, only you can save those around you. Don't mind her attitude, just save her.” Whenever I sent forth righteous thoughts, I kept a thought to eliminate the evil factors around those who hadn't learned the truth yet, and also eliminated my own thoughts of resentment. One day, she called me, and we chatted for a little bit. I apologized to her, and we decided to meet to chat some more.
That day, I met her, her husband, and one of their friends. They asked me a lot of questions, and I told them what Dafa was and about the changes that I had experienced. I also told them about the suffering that I experienced in the labor camp and explained how we were not involved in politics. I was very calm and peaceful. I could feel the strong energy around me and the wisdom pouring out from me. I knew Master was helping me. At last, they were happy to receive the anti-web-blocking software from me so that they could access Internet sites blocked by the CCP's Internet blockade.
4. Letting Go of Self and Doing What Master Wants Us to Do
I have encountered many frustrations in advising people to withdraw from the CCP. Here are some examples.
A colleague of mine had sympathy toward Falun Gong practitioners and also tried to protect them. However, when talking about withdrawing from the CCP, she believed that this was getting involved in politics. I had three long talks with her and was unable to change her mind. Another colleague of mine got along with me very well on many subjects, except Falun Gong. She refused to talk about anything related to Falun Gong.
I asked a friend to send the books Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and Disintegrating the Party Culture to a professor at the university I attended. Two days later, he returned the books through the same friend and threatened to break off our relationship.
I hadn't advised people to withdraw from the CCP for years. Later, I first became nervous even before I started to talk to others on the subject. When I failed, I always felt regret. For a long time, I could not make a breakthrough on this. Twice, when I chatted with taxi drivers, I could feel that I was arranged to save them, however, I didn't know how to say it until it was too late. Once a woman from the countryside asked me for some money for lunch. First, I thought of giving money to her and then to clarify the truth, but I didn't have the chance to bring up the subject before she left.
I must find out what my problem is. If there is something that I must eliminate, I have to do it. Maybe Master saw how eager I was to save people, so he gave me a hint during Fa study. I realized the obstruction was within myself. I was worried about others reporting me to the police or encountering plainclothes policemen. I was worried that others would be against my advice. I held onto the notion of self and didn't truly think of others or how to save them. With such an impure thought, how could I dissolve the bad factors behind ordinary people?
I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate these bad elements. I studied the Fa more to purify and strengthen myself with righteous thoughts.
When I started to clarify the truth again, I tried not to think about what others were thinking and to not let the evil factors behind them interfere with me. I found that the situation changed and things became smoother. Master opened my wisdom, and I could advise people from different angles accordingly. When advising people to withdraw from the communist party, sometimes it just took a few minutes. It was not as difficult as I thought before. The colleague who used to refuse to talk about anything related to Falun Gong started to listen to me on this subject. The professor who threatened to break off ties with me, after I called, accepted the anti-web-blockage software and agreed to watch the Shen Yun DVD.
The situation around me has gradually improved. As long as we listen to Master and follow his teachings, Master and Dafa will place us at an incomparably sacred position.

(Clearwisdom.net) In regards to coordinating well as one body in sending forth righteous thoughts, I have been doing it for a year to help fellow practitioners. I would like to share some of those experiences.
It began on July 20 of last year. I learned in advance that ten local Falun Dafa practitioners might be arrested. I could not contact them, so I increased the intensity of sending forth righteous thoughts for them. I then realized that my strength, as one person, was limited, so I focused on sending righteous thoughts towards the five practitioners that I thought were most vulnerable. Over ten practitioners were arrested, but none of the five that I targeted were among them. However, practitioners who I regarded as having strong righteous thoughts were arrested. I am not intending to show off here, but it showed to me the importance of righteous thoughts. After the fellow practitioners' arrest, many more participated in the rescue by sending forth righteous thoughts, and two practitioners were rescued very quickly. Again, it was a sign of the power of righteous thoughts.
The biggest difficulty in sending forth righteous thoughts for practitioners was being able to keep it up. I saw that many practitioners stopped sending forth righteous thoughts after a while. They were unable to persist because some doubted the effect, while others lacked confidence. I also wavered at times, but when I saw that many practitioners could not keep going after one or two months, I said to myself that I had to keep doing it until the practitioners were released. I also had doubts, but kept going with Teacher's encouragement. Once I went to another city for business for 20 days and did not send forth righteous thoughts the entire time I was there. When I came back, I wondered what the situation was. At that point, I opened Zhuan Falun, and straight away saw the words “very dangerous.” I felt it was a hint from Teacher, so I persisted in my efforts and sent forth righteous thoughts for the practitioners in prison. The messages that were coming from the prison said that the practitioners were very steadfast, and that increased my confidence. I have been able to keep this up. Among the practitioners who were arrested on July 20, 2009, some were only sentenced this year, some were sentenced to probation, and some returned home this year. Some signed the release papers to get out and regretted it later.
After having sent forth righteous thoughts for detained prisoners for a long time, I extended it to those that had not stepped forward to openly validate the Fa. I had more time, so I sent such righteous thoughts at least once a day to disintegrate the old forces' arrangements, to disintegrate things in those practitioners' thoughts arranged by the old forces that were against Dafa, and to link them to the huge field of Dafa in the human world. I kept sending forth righteous thoughts in this way for two to three months. Once while sending forth righteous thoughts, I wondered whether it had helped anyone step forward to validate the Fa, and suddenly a clear number appeared in my mind. I knew that Teacher was encouraging me and boosting my confidence. Another time, after sending righteous thoughts, a thought emerged. I had read articles from young fellow practitioners mentioning what they saw with their celestial eye. When Teacher turned the universe, it would emit a loud sound. I jokingly thought to myself, if I reversed things in a small universe, would there be a sound? Then a huge sound came from far away in the human dimension. It was as if a huge door was being dragged along the ground at a construction site. I thought, “Teacher made such careful arrangements in order to encourage me to do even better and have more confidence.” Through Teacher's repeated encouragement, I have been doing this for over a year now. In addition, I have learned an important principle from Teacher's lecture “Be More Diligent,” that once Dafa practitioners establish a project, it should be carried out to the end, otherwise it will come to naught.
During this period, I have also contacted some practitioners who had not stepped forward to validate the Fa. Some of them asked how to write a solemn declaration, and others have withdrawn from the CCP using their real names. One or two years earlier, they refused to be convinced, but along with the progress of Fa-rectification, the result now is indeed different. I also sent righteous thoughts for the practitioners who were just released from detention to help them stabilize their cultivation states and avoid more losses. It does not matter if I know them or not, as long as I have heard about their situation. I think we should do the same for the local practitioners who are often persecuted, or just released from prison. Practitioners should add a thought before their release: do not sign anything before being released and remain steadfast over the long haul. I hope that more practitioners will start sending righteous thoughts for our fellow practitioners.
(Clearwisdom.net) My deepest feeling when writing this article was “When it’s difficult to endure, you can endure it. When it’s impossible to do, you can do it.” (Zhuan Falun). When you truly want to save people, you will succeed; when you truly wish to validate the Fa, nothing can stop you.
Working with others, overcoming resistance, starting my own project
I returned to cultivation in 2008 after a long absence. When I saw some diligent practitioners, and learned about their great effort in saving sentient beings, I was ashamed by the huge gap between us. I felt a sense of anxiety. The reading material in our study group was provided by other practitioners. I wanted to buy a printer and make our own materials, but my wife strongly objected. When I reasoned with her, she began yelling and screaming at me. Some fellow practitioners told me not to pressure my wife too much. But I felt terrible about not being able to offer salvation to more people. I did not know what to do. I was very sad. Despite the strong resistance from my wife, my determination to start the printing center was unshakeable. My mind was very pure and powerful. Soon, things began to change. My wife’s sister brought me her own printer. I began to print materials for our study group. One day, a practitioner told me that the peasants in the country did not have enough Dafa materials. I thought I should buy a car. This time, I was able to convince my wife that the family needed a car. After we bought the car, I began to drive to the country and validate the Fa.
My wife was very scared by the persecution of Falun Gong, and she strongly protested against making Dafa materials at home. I had to do printings while she was away. One day she came home when I was printing materials and saw all the papers on the bed. She asked me to return the printer to her sister. Otherwise, she threatened to take me to her parents to explain. She cried the whole night. I tried my best to explain the situation, but to no avail. Under my wife’s influence, her sister called me and asked for the printer back. At the time, my family materials center was just beginning to operate, and I had just found my path to save sentient beings. But now, everything was going to stop! This thought hurt me so bad, yet I did not know what to do. I knew that my wife was not an unreasonable person, and I would do anything to change her mind. During our many years of marriage, we had our ups and downs, but I always won our fights. But at this moment, I recalled how Han Xin crawled between someone’s legs to endure humiliation. With enough courage, I kneeled down in front of her, tears ran down my cheek, I begged: “For you, for me, and for all others, please do not stop me. You should trust me. I am doing the most righteous thing, and I will not be persecuted because of my effort to validate the Fa. Please carefully think about my words.” Surprisingly, she was speechless for a long time. Finally she calmed down and walked away. From that day on, she backed down from her strong opposition.
Together, we save people
Several practitioners and I distributed truth clarification materials to the countryside almost weekly, rain or shine. One day, three of us went together. On our way there, it began to rain heavily. We had not brought an umbrella. But no one hesitated. At our destination, we exited the car with the truth-clarification materials. Soon, we were soaked. A villager accepted our materials and said: “Falun Gong (practitioners) are so dedicated, delivering the materials in rain.” On our way home, I felt embarrassed about the weather and said: “I wish it did not rain. See how we all got soaked.” A practitioner said: “Rainy days are better, there are not too many people on the street, so we can distribute more materials.” I was moved by her kind words.
Fellow practitioners' righteous thoughts, unselfish conduct, and tolerance are like a mirror. They helped me to see my shorcomings and become more diligent.
One day, we planned to distribute materials in the countryside the next morning. At night, I could not resist temptation and spent hours surfing on some indecent websites. I did not get much sleep. The next day, my situation was not good. The evil took advantage of my loopholes. During the trip, one practitioner stayed at one place for too long, and the other went a separate way without informing the rest of us. We ended up wasting some time. I had to drive back and forth to find everyone. I was quite upset. Although I knew my own problem was the root cause, I could not help blaming others. An elderly practitioner smiled and apologized repeatedly. I felt a deep sense of shame. Fellow practitioners’ compassion and unselfish attitudes exhibited a sharp contrast with my dirty mind. I told another young practitioner: “We should learn from elderly practitioners.” The elderly practitioners said: “Young practitioners have made huge contributions in their work, such as expertise in computer and other technical skills.”
In our cultivation group, fellow practitioners all helped each other. One practitioner had no regular income; she could barely pay for her child’s education. Evey time she went grocery shopping, she saved some change. And every time her savings reached 200 yuan, she would donate it for the material printing costs. I was very touched by her story. Practitioners all face many difficulties and high pressure, but they manage to move forward. My economic condition is much better, and my contribution is not that much compared with other practitioners.
We have experienced many miracles during our work. One day this past winter, after a heavy snow, the road became very slippery. On our way back after distributing truth-clarifying materials, my car could not make it up a hill. Unable to find another route, we were stuck in a village. A stranger asked where we were heading to. He offered to guide us to another road. Soon we were back on the main road. One rainy day, we sent forth righteous thoughts before our departure. Soon, the rain stopped, and we went on to complete our job. But no sooner after we returned home, a heavy downpour began.
Listen to the coordinator’s arrangement
In the past, no practitioners in our area were using cell phones to broadcast truth-clarification messages. One day a coordinator mentioned that he wanted to instruct me on this. I volunteered to experiment with the idea. I had no knowledge about cell phones and MP3 players, and I had never used a soldering iron. But I believed that I could learn. I bought a used cell phone, a phone card, and an electric soldering set. I also borrowed an MP3. I began to connect the earphones with the MP3. After I connected the wires, I could not play the MP3 through the cell phone. After more than ten days of unsuccessful experimentation, I became frustrated. But I was not ready to give up. I gathered my strengh and began experimenting again. I rearranged the wire connection pairs, and suddenly it worked. I was thrilled, and played the music to my son’s cell phone. He was also surprised at my new talent: “Dad, how did you do it? You are so capable!”
Looking back over the last two years, I feel very fortunate. Without Master’s compassion, and fellow practitioners’ help, I could not have come this far. I am determined to become more diligent, relinquish bad habits, validate the Fa and assist in saving people with the most righteous mind.

Solemn Declaration
Because I did not have an in-depth understanding of the Fa, the evil found my loophole and took advantage of it. On November 3, 2010, police ransacked my home, arrested me and took me to a detention center. While I was in the detention center, I admitted to going out to clarify the truth and distribute flyers. I signed their records and let them take my fingerprints. I also signed the "search warrant” and “statement of extended detention.” My husband wrote "promise statements" on my behalf and also said some disrespectful words toward Master. Here I solemnly declare that all the words I said and actions I took that were not in accordance with Dafa's principles are null and void, and everything I signed as well as the statements that were written on my behalf by my husband are also null and void. I will work hard to make up for the losses I caused to Dafa and firmly cultivate until the end.

I was arrested and detained for over three months starting on December 27, 1999. I was beaten badly and I lost consciousness many times. The officials saw that I was near death, so they notified my family to pick me up. I was in bed for half a year until my body healed. On September 15, 2010, the local 610 Office head brought over twenty people and arrested me at my home. When I received the news, I was afraid of the evil Communist Party's policies, so I burned her Dafa books and photo of Master. A couple of days ago, when I was getting my passport at the police station, an officer forced me to say some bad things about Falun Dafa and said that otherwise they would not issue my passport to me.
