(Clearwisdom.net) I am a young female practitioner who obtained Dafa in 1996. Having lost the group Fa study environment in 1999, I was less diligent. In recent years I often went to the Minghui/Clearwisdom website to read practitioners' experience sharing articles. I found gaps in my cultivation and then contacted practitioners I had previously known and rejoined the group.
I would like to share my experiences with practitioners regarding letting go of human notions, writing articles to expose the persecution, and saving sentient beings while rescuing fellow practitioners using legal channels.
1. Doing Well as a Minghui Correspondent
When one practitioner in my area was arrested, it reminded me that I should access the Minghui website to expose the persecution and the evil police. That way, our local practitioners can together clarify the truth to the police, to alleviate the practitioner's persecution and save the police as well.
Practitioner A, who graduated from a well-known university, agreed with my plans. She said, "I support you, but I can't write!" Practitioner B also said, "Exposing the persecution is a must-do. You go ahead. Write it yourself." Back home I was worried and anxious. What I learned at school had nothing to do with writing, so how would I write something like this?
I felt that my anxiety was an incorrect cultivation state. I calmed down and looked inward. I thought about Master's words in Lunyu:
"'The Buddha Fa' is most profound; among all the theories in the world, it is the most intricate and extraordinary science. In order to explore this domain, humankind must fundamentally change its conventional thinking."
I suddenly realized that my thoughts about writing were human notions. Why would I think that only people with degrees in language and the arts could write articles? I abandoned my notion and began writing articles to expose the persecution. It took me a long time to finally finish the first article, and I asked practitioners to help me proofread it. I then submitted it to the Minghui editors. The changes made by the Minghui editors were quite appropriate.
Master strengthened my resolve once I decided to do this. I worked to improve my writing skills by reading articles about how to write well and articles that exposed the persecution.
2. My First Telephone Interview with the Family of a Persecuted Practitioner
Practitioner C has been detained for close to two years. There had been no information about him on the Minghui website. As soon as I located his daughter's phone number, my human notions arose. I didn't know how to make that phone call, but eventually I realized that a common reporter would try his/her best to get the necessary information. Why would I, a Dafa disciple, let human notions get in the way?
I knew what I should do. Any roadblocks are interference that need to be eliminated. I made up my mind to make the call. I sent righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors. Half an hour later I called the daughter.
I received all the information I needed. She even provided more details that I had not taken into consideration. I couldn't help but cry when the call was completed. It took me so long to finish such an easy task. After my article was published on the Minghui website, many overseas phone calls and truth clarification letters went to this small town. I called the daughter again. She was excited, "I know everything. Thank you very much! People in the court told me that people overseas are aware of my father's situation."
3. Cooperating as One Body--Rescuing Practitioners Through Legal Channels
I discussed arrested Practitioner D's circumstances with our local practitioners and about how to rescue him. Master's video "Fa-Teaching Given to the Australian Practitioners" provided me with insights when practitioners asked about the lawsuit against Jiang. I suggested hiring a lawyer to defend Practitioner D.
Practitioner E and I were responsible for connecting with the lawyers and collecting relevant material. Practitioner F was responsible for contacting the family. Practitioner G and another practitioner were responsible for sending truth-clarifying materials and sending righteous thoughts.
After we found the lawyers, several practitioners mentioned that they felt hiring lawyers was not in line with the Fa. The family members changed their minds and agreed not to hire lawyers. I shared my thoughts with the practitioners in a phone call. I said, "Using the law to expose their crimes is not wrong."
Our approach wasn't wrong, so it meant that this was interference. I sent righteous thoughts. When the practitioners became determined to hire lawyers, the family then changed their mind and agreed to do so.
When the lawyers arrived, we first clarified the truth to them, although they had handled many Falun Gong cases before. The lawyers had to meet with the victimized practitioner and understand whether the practitioner had been tortured.
While Practitioner D's case was going through the legal procedures, the local practitioners collected the evildoers' telephone numbers and addresses and posted them on the Minghui website. They also clarified the truth face to face and sent righteous thoughts. Here is some of what we did:
a. We got to know who the judge was going to be. Some practitioners provided information about the judge's family. I collected all relevant information and sent it to Minghui. One practitioner couple had a personal relationship with this judge, who knew that the couple were practitioners. He refused to meet with them. After sharing thoughts together, the couple decided that they should save this judge and help him understand the truth. On a day when it was raining hard, the couple waited for the judge by the door to his home for a long time. He finally opened the door and was very upset, "My child even received phone calls from overseas. This incident is well-known overseas. Falun Gong is so tough." The couple clarified the truth to the judge for over two hours. The judge finally said, "I know what I should be doing. I will no longer accept these kinds of cases."
b. We found out that Practitioner D's community head had reported him. Practitioners sent many truth-clarifying letters and materials to this community. Another practitioner also sent a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to the community head and dropped off a letter to the guard office in the community. Later, this community head personally went to Practitioner D's home and visited Practitioner D's parents.
c. I profoundly realized that the police officers, who were committing these crimes without knowing the truth, were most pathetic. Fortified by Master's strengthening, I felt that the police had become insignificant. I tried my best to control my emotions and asked them, "Do you know of the lawsuit against Jiang in Spain?" I clarified the truth and asked them to think about not ruining their futures. They didn't say anything, but I knew they were listening. One officer provided me valuable information several times. He was eventually transferred to a new job, which everyone admires. Before I left, I went to the person who was handling Practitioner D's case and whispered to him, "Please, don't ruin your future. The police who were covertly murdered following the Cultural Revolution should serve as a lesson for you." He pretended to be angry and shouted, "Stop saying these things to me!" But he then turned around and whispered to me, "Thank you."
The court didn't try Practitioner D until he had been illegally detained for close to a year. He spent the year continuously clarifying the truth, so the judge, the prosecutor, the staff people on the National Security Team, the head of the police substation, and the head of the detention center all understood the truth to some degree. Some quit the CCP with aliases.
Although Practitioner D has not yet been released, our local practitioners formed one body during the entire process and allowed more people to understand the truth.
