(Clearwisdom.net) The G20 summit is held in South Korea on November 11-12, 2010. The Falun Dafa Association of South Korea held a press conference in Seoul Media Center calling on G20 participants to work together to stop the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong.

The Falun Dafa Association of South Korea held a press conference in Seoul Media Center calling on G20 participants to work together to stop the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong, on the afternoon of November 9, 2010

The statement read during the press conference pointed out that this is the eleventh year of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. The Falun Dafa Association of South Korea initiated a campaign for "A Million Signatures Calling for an End to the CCP's Persecution of Falun Gong" on July 20, 2010. Currently there are 123,670 signatures including those from overseas, supporting the effort.

Mr. Kwon Hong-Dae, chairman of the Falun Dafa Association of South Korea, speaks at the press conference

Mr. Kwon Hong-Dae, chairman of the Falun Dafa Association of South Korea, pointed out in his speech that the CCP's goal was to eliminate Falun Gong within three months, but Falun Gong practitioners maintained their steadfast belief in the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Many more people around the world have joined the practice since the persecution began.

A representative from the Korea Solidarity against Corruption said that only the disintegration of the CCP can stop the persecution of Falun Gong, and that there is only one way to disintegrate the CCP. That is to explain the facts of the CCP and the persecution to more Chinese people and let them quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. The CCP will then collapse and the persecution will stop. He suggested that the G20 Summit should include the issue of the CCP's killing of Chinese people.

Mr. Han, director of the Coalition of North Korea Refugee Groups

Mr. Han, director of the Coalition of North Korea Refugee Groups, pointed out that only in China and North Korea are there no basic human rights. China's economy is developed, but the human rights situation is very poor, especially the persecution of Falun Gong, the Tibet issue, and the repatriation of North Korean refugees, etc. We know that China, under CCP rule, has the poorest human rights record in the world.

He said, "Within a few months, more than 120,000 people showed their support for Falun Gong by signing the petition. This is surprising within such a short period. I wish that the G20 Summit participants would pay attention to the human rights situation in North Korea. I also call on representatives in the summit to exert pressure on the CCP to stop the persecution of Falun Gong."

More than 120,000 South Korean people have signed the petition "A Million Signatures Calling for an End to the CCP's Persecution of Falun Gong," which started on July 20, 2010

The Million Signatures collection activity is intended to help more people learn the facts about the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong, and help stop the persecution.

The spokesperson from the Falun Dafa Association of South Korea said, at the end of the press conference, that they would mail the signatures to embassies in South Korea and that the signature collection event will continue until the persecution ends.

Outside the press conference venue, some Falun Gong practitioners reenacted the CCP's torture of Falun Gong practitioners and harvesting of vital organs from living practitioners for lucrative profits. The activities allowed the G20 summit participants to learn about the ongoing brutal persecution.
