(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner, Ms. Wu Shengjiang, 58, lives in Julu County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, and has been persecuted during the past ten years because she practices Falun Dafa and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She was taken away by police and detained illegally.

In the past, Ms. Wu suffered from heart disease, scrofula (a form of tuberculosis), Hepatitis B with advanced liver ascites, and was sent home by the hospital. Her family members were told to prepare for her funeral. In March 1999, Ms. Wu started to practice Falun Gong. She then benefited in both mind and body, and all of her diseases disappeared.

In the past ten years, however, Ms. Wu has been persecuted again and again by the CCP under the direction of former president Jiang Zemin, because she practiced Falun Gong. In the summer of 2003, a group of policemen from Julu County Police Station broke into Ms. Wu's home. Without showing any identification, they handcuffed her and took her to the police station. She was ordered to denounce Falun Dafa and Master Li Hongzhi, but she refused. They kicked her down to the ground, shocked her with an electric baton until it ran out of electricity, then replaced it with another baton with greater current. In the end, they got a baton with the highest current to shock and beat her. They also shackled both of her arms to a metal cage, and then shocked her. After being tortured for several hours, Ms. Wu's mouth, back, arms and legs were all injured all over.

Ms. Wu was held in the detention center for over two months. She could not eat anything due to the intense torture. Policemen then told her family members to bail her out with 6,000 yuan without giving any receipt.

In 2008, Ms. Wu Shengjiang was again taken to Julu County Police Station for twenty days when she told others about Falun Gong and quitting the CCP. Ms. Wu's family was forced to pay 10,000 yuan, and hand over a box of 15-year-old wine and 50 kg of watermelons to obtain her release. Wang Ming also took 700 yuan from them. The family also paid for meals in restaurants for related personnel in the police station countless times.

Ms. Wu's father-in-law was threatened many times; he was low in spirits and passed away. Her husband became short tempered, and their child was hurt greatly in his heart and soul and wanted to get away from home.
