(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Liu Zhengfu is a retired official from Huaian City, Jiangsu Province. Her husband, Mr. Liu Zhigao, is a retired judge from Huaiyin City Intermediate People's Court in Jiangsu Province. Both of them have been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party due to their firm belief in Falun Gong. Recently, officials from the Qingpu District Police Station, the district procuratorate, and the Court in Huaian City have been attempting to prosecute Ms. Liu.

On September 10, 2010, policeman Yang Aimin from the Qingpu District State Security Division in Huaian City, Director Hong Hua from Zhakou Police Station in Huaian City, and Prosecutor Fang Wen from the Public Prosecution Division in the Qingpu District Procuratorate deceived Ms. Liu and her husband in order to gain entrance to their house located in Xinmindonglu, Huaian City. They pretended to care about the couple and coerced them into accepting 200 yuan. In doing so, they got Mr. Liu and Ms. Liu's signatures on the papers they had brought with them. Only then did they tell the couple that the procuratorate was preparing to prosecute Ms. Liu.

Ms. Liu Zhengfu, 70, is a retired official from Huaiyin City Motor Factory. She and her husband started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. She has been illegally detained for 15 days, as well as having been taken to the brainwashing center many times. In May 2009, she was taken to a private motel where she was interrogated by Zhang Shinong, Yang Aimin and others from the State Security Division, Qingfu District Police Department. During the interrogation, Ms. Liu was tied down on a tiger bench for seven days.

Mr. Liu Zhiguao, 74, is a retired judge from Huaiyin City Intermediate Court. In March 2008, he was sentenced to four years of imprisonment by Qinghe District Court in Huaian City due to his firm belief in Falun Dafa. He was later released for medical treatment due to his serious illness, which had been caused by the persecution.

In 2009, the elderly couple had to move from place to place for a year in order to avoid further persecution. They suffered tremendously. The Chinese government has refused to pay Mr. Liu's retirement pension. Mr. Liu is very sick. Qingpu District 610 Office, the police station, the procuratorate, and the court are attempting to persecute Ms. Liu just because she and her husband want to be good people and firmly believe in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
