(Clearwisdom.net) Chinese Communist Party (CCP) head Hu Jintao arrived in New York recently to attend the G20 Summit this week. Falun Gong practitioners in New York gathered outside the Waldorf Hotel on September 21, 2009 where Hu is staying. They demanded an end to the persecution and that chief culprits Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Zhou Yongkang and Liu Jing be brought to justice.

Falun Gong practitioners held banners reading "Falun Dafa Is Good," "Immediately Stop the Persecution," and "Bring Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Zhou Yongkang and Liu Jing to Justice." They quietly did the sitting meditation to let the public know what Falun Gong is, and displayed photos depicting the brutal torture that the CCP has employed to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. They called upon the international community to help stop the persecution.

Hu Jintao will stay in New York for three days, and then will head for Pittsburgh to attend the third G20 Financial Summit to be held September 24-25.

During his three-day stay in New York, Falun Gong practitioners will continue to protest the CCP's persecution outside the Waldorf Hotel and the United Nations Plaza.

Persecuted for Practicing Falun Gong

Fifty-eight-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Liu Yan from Beijing said, "The police arrested me from my office and my home, respectively in March and July 2001, and took me to the 610 Office Brainwashing Center. They beat me in the daytime, and forbade me to sleep at night."

Ms. Liu was taken from home on two other occasions on March 8, 2002 and July 22, 2006, and was put in a forced labor camp for one and a half years and two and a half years, respectively.

Ms. Liu said that before practicing Falun Gong, a large bone spur grew inside her lumbar vertebral cavity tube, and it was inoperable, which brought her endless pain. Several months later after she started practicing Falun Gong in 1993, this stubborn illness was cured without going through any treatment, and she felt like a new person.

Calling upon the international community to condemn and help stop the persecution

Ms. Liu Yan said that she personally experienced the magnificence of Falun Gong, and suffered the CCP's brutal persecution. She said that although Hu Jintao did not initiate the persecution, he is currently the head of the CCP, and the persecution is still going on. He should consider leaving a way open for the future, and not bear the blame for the chief culprits of the persecution of Falun Gong, such as Jiang Zemin and others.

Representatives of New York practitioners said that the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong has persisted for ten years. Millions of families have been affected. They said they came to demand an immediate end to the persecution, and call upon the international community not to be enticed by economic interests. They said we must work together to condemn t and help stop the persecution.
