(Clearwisdom.net) Many Chinese people have come to recognize the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and have chosen to quit the CCP and its affiliations. The following are interviews with government officials who have quit the CCP.

The CCP's Persecution of Falun Gong Is Wrong

Ms. Lin worked in a government department in Beijing. She believes the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong is wrong. According to her, many Falun Gong practitioners were successful people in society. A friend of hers who worked at China Central TV (CCTV) told her that the Tiananmen Square Self-immolation was a false news report staged by the CCP. Lin received a CD with shows by Shen Yun Performing Arts a few days ago. The beautiful and benevolent performance touched her heart. She said she gained a deeper understanding of Falun Gong from watching the DVD.

Ms. Lin said that she had always had a good impression of Falun Gong. Many of her neighbors used to be Falun Gong practitioners and were the backbones of the community. She said, "Formerly I lived near a university. I saw many professors doing the Falun Gong exercises every day. I knew my neighbors very well and some were Falun Gong practitioners who were very righteous and well educated. I knew that the persecution was a major historical mistake as soon as it happened. Falun Gong was not treated fairly."

Lin said that media in China framed and slandered Falun Gong when the persecution started. She was a little scared and did not want to get into trouble, so she did not want to know more about Falun Gong and about what was taking place. One day a friend of hers who worked at CCTV told her that the self-immolation news report was falsified. That was when she was awakened. "It was staged. Who would have known an emergency situation was going to happen and get that many clear shots at such close range? There was even a news team waiting nearby. Based on the way the news was presented, I believe it was phony," said Ms. Lin.

Ms. Lin quit the CCP on the Dajiyuan website because she saw the evilness of the CCP. She stopped watching CCTV, and switched to NTDTV after seeing its impartial and objective reports. "I watch NTDTV news every evening. I have been working in a government office and I know how evil the CCP is. Every time I watch the news on CCTV, I can catch the CCP's lies and know what it is doing to fool the people. Most of the time, I am correct. Since I know people in the government, and certain facts about major events, I am able to figure out what is really happening."

The Shen Yun Performing Arts companies are quite famous in China. Ms. Lin had a chance to meet a Falun Gong practitioner and got a CD of Shen Yun's performance. "I was out shopping and the practitioner came over to talk to me. Before he left, he gave me a Shen Yun CD. Oh, that was such a precious gift! My understanding of Falun Gong and Chinese culture was greatly enhanced. I feel sad that I can't go overseas to watch it live," said Lin.

Falun Gong Protests the Persecution in Peaceful Ways

Another statement written by someone who quit the CCP describes that the CCP's "reforms" have resulted in extreme disparity between rich and poor. Protests continue to take place. The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party is widespread and has significant influence. The person who wrote the statement said that they admired Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful and rational ways to protest the persecution.

This person chose to use the alias Li Xing. Li Xing said that the CCP fooled the Chinese people. "In the past, reform was a positive term. It is not so any longer. Reforms make the CCP high-ranking officials richer, and the commoners poorer. Ninety percent of the listed companies are owned by high-ranking officials' children. This says it all. When commoners are treated unjustly, and the government is using violence to suppress the people; when public opinion has no effect, that is when uprisings start," said Li.

Li believes that Falun Gong's peaceful and rational protests have influenced the Chinese people greatly. "The government needs to be tolerant of any kind of belief. Falun Gong lets the Chinese people feel the magnificence of a faith for the first time. I know a very high-ranking provincial official who truly admires Falun Gong and believes that the persecution is a historical mistake. I believe that Falun Gong does a great job in protesting non-violently and rationally. Without Falun Gong forming such a non-violent power, there would have been more violent protests in China [over police and government officials' injustices]."

Li disclosed that he and some friends distributed over 10,000 copies of the Nine Commentaries to people.
