(Clearwisdom.net) On June 4, 2009, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Qin from Shanghai City was arrested with practitioners Lu Yuzi, Ye Ying, Li Yaohua and Zhang Tiebo. Officers from the Tianlin New Village Police Station took them to the Xuhui District Detention Center. It has been two months since the arrest. Presently, the Xuhui District 610 Office has issued an illegal authorization to officially arrest Zhang Qin and other practitioners. This is the sixth time that Mr. Zhang Qin has been arrested.

Fifty-four-year-old Mr. Zhang Qin lived at Room 401, Building 43, the Longnan Third Village, Longshuinan Road, Xuhui District in Shanghai City. He was the key technical employee for the Shengde Plastic Limited Company in Shanghai City. He had been appointed as chief of the Quality Inspection Section, chief engineer, and to other positions.

Since July 20, 1999, Mr. Zhang Qin has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and has been "illegally arrested" and detained many times. He was detained at the Beijing Detention Center for one month. He was detained at the detention centers in Jingan District and Xuhui District and then obtained a guarantor to post bail for him while he awaited trial. Mr. Zhang was also imprisoned at the Tilanqiao Prison in Shanghai City for four years.

In March 2001, Mr. Zhang Qin was arrested for the fourth time. As a form of torture, he was forced to stand facing the wall continuously for six days and nights. Because Mr. Zhang did not cooperate with the persecution, the guards beat and kicked him, making him disoriented and causing his feet to swell severely, then to suppurate and bleed. His life was in great danger. In the initial period of his imprisonment in Tilanqiao Prison, Zhang Qin was brutally beaten by the guards, and by prisoners incited by them, for two hours every day.

On November 8, 2005, Mr. Zhang Qin was arrested again by the 610 Office and sent to the Minhang District Police Department for detention. Later, the 610 Office sentenced him to one year of forced labor. Mr. Zhang Qin used a hunger strike to protest the persecution and was detained at the Tilanqiao Prison hospital for a whole year.

In June 2009, Mr. Zhang was arrested for the sixth time by policemen Liu Zhihui and Kong Ronghui (deputy chief of the police station).

Mr. Zhang's father is over 80 years old and has a contracted brain stem. His mother is physically weak and has many illnesses. In addition, his parents are constantly worried and anxious for their son's safety. Mr. Zhang Qin is the primary caregiver for his elderly parents. Since he was arrested again, his parents have lived a very difficult life.
