(Clearwisdom.net) At around 9 p.m. on June 6, 2009, about a dozen police officers from the police station in Mei Cheng District, Anhua County, Yiyang City, Hunan Province intruded into Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Xiao Jianqing's house after they shut off the electricity. They arrested 20 practitioners who were having an experience-sharing conference. On June 7, those practitioners who were 70 years or older were released. However, their homes were searched by the police.
The thirteen practitioners who are still detained in the Anhua County Detention Center include Xiao Jianqing, Xiao Ailian, Li Mengxian, Long Ximei, Ning Zhengjun, Chen Yuejin, Fang Xiaozhen, Guo Xihua, Zhou Mengjiao, Pan Xiaoe, Tian Fumei, Li Shilai, and Long Dingquan.
The following are examples of harming Falun Dafa practitioners resulting in karmic retribution (1):
1. The Daughter of the 610 Office Director in Anhua County Suddenly Becomes Mentally Ill
Since July 20, 1999, Chen Yongsheng, the 610 Office director in Anhua County, unscrupulously followed Jiang Zemin and his gang in persecuting Falun Gong. Starting in 2001, Chen launched massive arrests of Falun Gong practitioners. He completely ransacked their houses, taking away all their valuables. Chen forced practitioners' families to give him gifts and take him to expensive restaurants which charge over 1,000 yuan per meal. His subordinate beat practitioner Zhou Fuliang to death, yet such a perpetrator has gone unpunished. Dozens of Falun Gong practitioners have been sentenced to prison, and more than 100 practitioners have been sent to brainwashing centers. Their lives are threatened every day, and their homes are ransacked. These practitioners have been subjected to various degrees of economic, physical and psychological persecution. At present, practitioner Guo Xihua is still detained in the labor camp. In April 2008, Chen arrested practitioners Chen Ruizhen and her 80-year-old father.
On March 11, 2001, Chen Yongsheng's house suddenly caught fire. His father-in-law was burned, and his house became a pile of ashes. However, he didn't repent and continued his criminal behavior. In 2002, his wife's clothing store also caught fire, causing heavy losses. In November 2002, Chen got drunk and on his way home, he fell down some stairs, breaking several ribs. He was hospitalized for a few months. Nevertheless, he did not recognize the connection between his cruel behavior and karmic retribution. In 2003, because he was caught going to a prostitution house, his wife quarreled with him for a whole year. In 2007, his wife was caught with an illegal gambling group and was sent to a labor camp. In 2008, Chen was dismissed by the 610 Office. His daughter, who is about 20 years old, suddenly became mentally ill.
2. Zhou Shubing, Commissar of Public Security Bureau in Anhua County, Was Hit by a Car and Couldn't Take Care of Himself
Since July 1999, Zhou Shubing has closely followed Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. In 2001, he tortured practitioner Zhou Fuliang to death. At that time, he was the deputy chief of the political security unit that was specifically responsible for the persecution of Falun Gong. Because he helped create slanderous Falun Gong materials for the court system, dozens of practitioners from his county were sent to labor camps or sentenced to prison.
Because he was responsible for causing so much harm to others, he harmed himself in return. Zhou Shubing was demoted at work by his department. He became very aggravated and started abusing alcohol. One day in April 2005, after drinking, he was hit by a car while walking on the street. He has been bedridden and mentally disoriented since then. He is unable to take care of himself and relies on his elderly parents, who are more than 70 years old. Zhou Shubing is only 45 years old.
3. Police Officer Jiang Xinmin in Anhua County Died
On February 8, 2001, while working at the police station in Li Lin District, Jiang arrested three practitioners and sent them to a brainwashing center. One of the practitioners was a 75-year-old retired school teacher. In 2004, Jiang again arrested two practitioners, Guo Xihua and Cao, and sent them to a labor camp where they received more abuse for one year. In 2008, Jiang bought a new house. On March 20, 2008, as his new house was being renovated, he suddenly became ill. He died on the way to the hospital. He was only 52 years old. He was said to have myocardial infarction.
Police officer Deng Yongqing, a 44-year-old male, lived at Si Lang Street, Xianxi District, Anhua County. In 2001, he was the captain of Dongshan Police Station. He was later transferred to Dafu District where he held the same post. In 2006, he was relocated to Xiaoyan Police Station. In 2007, he was again transferred back to Xianxi Police Station. There, he was demoted and became an ordinary police officer. When Deng was a captain, he was heavily involved in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in the Dongshan District, Dafu District, resulting in several practitioners' arrests and sentencing. He completely ransacked their houses, and took away their livestock, such as pigs, and even their coffins which were being saved for use by the elderly. He created a lot of terror in the local area. In February 2008, Deng suffered from nose cancer (rhinocarcinoma).
(1) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution.
Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
