(Clearwisdom.net) As the Shen Yun Performing Arts 2009 World Tour performed its second show in Vienna at the Vienna Stadthalle on April 5, both Chinese and locals in the audience were impressed.
"I'm Chinese and I wanted to see this show. I truly enjoyed it very much," said Wa Chang, a teacher of Chinese martial arts. He came from the mainland three years ago, with his wife and children.
Another audience member, Ms. Ussner, was told by an acquaintance that she had to make sure to see the second show before it left Vienna. She is the head of a firm involved in the distribution of Austrian ethereal oils. She said, "The divine beauty of the show impressed me."
She pointed out that the performance, "Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution" was especially significant. "The artists truly depicted what they felt, there was an energy--I felt it. There was a pain I could feel. There was beauty and pain at the same time. I felt this during that scene deeply in my heart. When I saw that, I suddenly had tears in my eyes. One can't stop that."
She added that the show possesses "Divine beauty. I love the colors! Wonderful! I loved it. Wonderful! I'm glad that I am here."
Company Owner: "Everything is fantastic!"
Mr. Franye, owner of an interior design company, highly praised Shen Yun after seeing it for the first time. He was quite impressed and said, "The colors, the dances, the singing--everything was fantastic."

He commented on the two programs that told tales of modern day courage in China, "Dignity and Compassion" and "Knowing the True Picture Offers Ultimate Hope." "The scenes where Falun Gong is persecuted--those were depicted extremely well."
Mrs. Franye was most impressed with the colorful and flowing costumes, and the great mobility of the dancers. "I truly liked those scenes. They were beautiful, the expression by the dances and the costumes were wonderful. They were absolutely fantastic!"
Shen Yun: "A symphony of harmony, color and movement!"
Mr. Drobetz, a retired district school inspector, joined the appreciative audience in welcoming Shen Yun back to Vienna. "I liked the show very much. I sensed it as a symphony, a harmony of colors and movement. The music, on entering the hall, was calming and anticipatory, and my anticipation was not disappointed." He shared that he is a connoisseur of music and Eastern philosophy. He was impressed with the singers, "Their demeanor was something special. I liked their gestures and voices."

He felt that the male singers were well cast. "Here, singers are stars. One postures and jokes, and the audience follows; one 'grabs' the audience. This show gives one the impression of being presented with a gift."
"What I have seen here is in sharp contrast to the usual fare. Usual offerings here are racy and direct. This is flowing, calmer, pleasant to the eye, and stimulates other senses. They are affairs of the heart--beauty and harmony and grace."
Of Shen Yun's artists, he said, "One could sense an elegant restraint and devotion to the audience, not seeking for adoration from the audience."
Mr. Drobetz also shared, "That is pure Chinese mythology, but listening carefully, one can also sense it to be part of our [Western] mythology. There are similarities everywhere. In transcendence, man is led toward higher insights, to divine inspirations."
Unparalleled and Beautiful Colors
"The silk was unparalleled and the blaze of color--all of that was out of this world!" exclaimed Ms. Neuhauser. She makes hats, so she was immediately drawn to the beautiful colors and valuable fabrics that are part of Shen Yun.

"It is the quality and especially the silk, which gives it a special flair. The color combination was truly successful, and all in all absolutely beautiful. I just don't have enough words to continue. We all loved the show. We are a big group, as I brought along my daughter, grandchildren, and just everyone. We are all here."
She shared, "I must say that at those times the fashion was much more pleasing than it is today. And the old China is so fascinating, especially the cherry blooms on the backdrop during the fan dance ['Welcoming Spring']."
This fabric expert closely studied the quality of the costumes' fabrics, "This was the best silk, and to use the silk for the dancers and the flair of it. Most of them were silk costumes. What else also fascinated me were the trousers that the ladies wore under the skirts, with all the embroidery--it was absolutely fantastic."
The color combinations were thrilling for her, she said, "The orange and yellow tones, and then suddenly they appeared on stage in blue and turquoise."
Ms. Neuhauser told the reporter, "In the past I always loved to look at Chinese pictures. I've always admired the Chinese paintings."
