(Clearwisdom.net) Shen Yun Performing Arts staged three shows at Costa Hall in Geelong, Australia, on April 3-4, 2009.
Accounting Firm Principal: "Take the whole family!"
Mr. Thompson, a principal partner in a large accounting firm, brought his wife, Mrs. Doon, and their daughters, Madeline and Jasmine, to the show.

"I thought it was fantastic--beautiful, colorful, very exciting--and it had a good sort of underlying message to it. I think ... about tolerance and compassion, understanding and empathy," said Mr. Thompson.
Mrs. Doon added, "I really loved it. It was really colorful. It did send a message of empathy and forgiveness. It was great." "And hope," added Mr. Thompson, explaining that he felt the performance conveyed a message of hope. "The costumes were also fantastic. The color and the light, and just bright, happy colors, I think it just gave me a happy feeling."
When the reporter asked Mr. Thompson what part of the show impressed him most he said, "It's hard to say ... the opera singer toward the end was fantastic ... But you can't compare ... because some of the dancing and choreography was fantastic. I think the phoenix dance was beautiful and also the Tibetan one."
He said he highly recommended the show. "I think it's well-worth going to. If you can go, go. You'll enjoy it. Take your kids, because they'll love the color and movement as well. Take the whole family!"
"It was brilliant ... It didn't last long enough!"
Ms. Wadeson, a Melbourne accountant who came to Costa Hall with her daughter, a ballet student, and her friend, said, "It was brilliant, it was wonderful. It didn't last long enough!" Her friend, Yohanna, concurred, "I would have loved to see a bit more of it."
Ms. Wadeson continued, "It was just beautiful--magnificent, magnificent costumes. This type of music is totally different from what I've heard before. It's educational as well."
Yohanna agreed, saying, "The singers had beautiful voices. It is educational as well, because it opens up your eyes to other people. What I liked about it was all the girls are so delicate."
When asked what she would say to her friends about the show, Yohanna said, "You have to see it for yourself. It's hard to accurately explain the feelings that you get, so you really have to see it. It's gorgeous. The whole message ... it's a peaceful sort of feeling that you get."
Ms. Wadeson said, "It's really emotional. The religious side of it, as well as Buddhism, which is very, very good. I just love all that. And the dancing was just beautiful."
Artistically Inclined Family Overwhelmed by Shen Yun
Mr. Keet, a musician, brought his wife and daughter, an ardent dance student, to the show. "It was of a very high standard. The songs were played very competently on the piano. It's beautifully done and very emotional," he said.

Mrs. Keet was also impressed, "Amazing. Best use of costumes and props I've ever seen. There's a lot of energy and feeling in it. It was just amazing. Even a bit surreal, I think," she said.
Their young daughter, Ms. Keet, excitedly exclaimed, "This is the best I've ever seen, definitely. Fantastic shapes and spatial arrangements and everything--just fantastic. They were so balanced.
"For me, the whole show tonight has been more like an acting performance rather than a dance. It has more of a storyline, which is really good. It's like telling a story through dance.
"They would tell you the expressive intention at the beginning of each piece, but the message still got across without them telling you.
"And just their delicate hand and arm movements, the rounded poses rather than sharp and angular, which usually portrays a more aggressive nature, but they used rounded movements, which is great! It's just a fantastic performance. I can't wait to see the rest of it. I just love it," she explained at intermission.
Ms. Keet concluded the interview by saying, "Just go and see the show, especially if you're into dancing. Go see it! It's so worth it, it's absolutely amazing."
