Phoenix TV, the CCP's Mouthpiece in Hong Kong, Diverts People's Attention

March 18, 2009 |   By Long Yan

(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) tyranny, spanning many years, produces seething discontent among the Chinese populace. The international finance crisis also deepened the serious internal crises in China, encompassing domestic political, economical, social, and a myriad of other facets. According to the report from the Hong Kong English language newspaper South China Morning Post, dated February 28, 2009, the CCP authorities named 2009 "The Most Sensitive Year" and formed a special task force to address it.

No one else but the CCP caused the crisis. In this difficult time, the CCP has exposed its vile nature once again. To remain in power, it plays its usual tricks, such as putting blame on other events or occurrences and giving out contradictory information. All this in an attempt to divert people's attention from what is really ailing the country.

Phoenix TV, the CCP's mouthpiece located in Hong Kong, broadcast lengthy news stories slandering Falun Gong on March 4. They claimed that the information came from an unnamed overseas "scholar," domestic "Christian representatives," and so on.

The Phoenix TV propaganda, which is trying to create a false impression and discredit the innocent, contributes to the CCP's main goal to continue the persecution of the Falun Gong. These falsehoods mirror the CCP fabrication of the "Tiananmen self-immolation incident," which Jiang's regime used to frame Falun Gong in early 2001.

The CCP's methods of attacking dissidents are no longer news, and not many people buy the trumped up charges. Certainly, there are those that have an unclear understanding of the tricks perpetrated by the CCP.

Once when I chatted with a fellow villager, she asked me, "Why don't you just practice the exercises at home? Why annoy the Communist Party?" Many people have similar misunderstandings. My response was, "It is the CCP that gives people a hard time. If the Communist Party wants to persecute you, you can't hide. It is just like what happened to your parents during the Cultural Revolution. Because they had relatives overseas (a grandfather and an uncle were in the US), your parents were brought to this village and persecuted. Did your parents annoy the Communist Party? No, the Communist Party wants to persecute people. Common people have no place to hide."

Actually, as early as 1997, the CCP public security already had developed an internal policy on how to deal with Falun Gong. They decided to fabricate charges. This is the same technique used during the Cultural Revolution. First determine a reason for guilt and then fabricate the evidence. Falun Gong practitioners appealed, explaining the true situation with good intentions, but Jiang's regime acted with disregard, attacking Falun Gong and utilizing all its media to bring false charges against Falun Gong. They deceived millions of people, caused misunderstandings about Falun Gong and even hatred. Practitioners explain the truth to people, but many refuse to listen. Because of this situation, practitioners work hard to systematically expose the actual facts about the Communist Party--see the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party--and help people understand the truth. What's wrong with that?

Among the so-called charges broadcast by Phoenix TV, an important remark was that Falun Gong incites people to oppose communism. Practitioners have ample reason to expose the CCP's crimes. The CCP caused the deaths of so many innocent and kind practitioners, but it forbids people to talk about it. How can that be possible? Isn't that how criminals behave?

If you truly look into the matter, communism has already been defeated around the world. Eastern Europe has already abandoned communism. How many Chinese people really believe in communism? Therefore, for Falun Gong to expose the CCP's crimes is to counter the persecution and it is reasonable and legitimate.

For so many years, the CCP has done evil and China's soil is filled with Chinese people's blood. The CCP is guilty of the most heinous crimes and has to face a reckoning. The final impact of the Nine Commentaries and the "Three Withdrawals" (withdrawing from the CCP and its two affiliated organizations) has yet to be felt. The CCP faces fast disintegration. The CCP has never cared and never will care for the common people. What comes first and foremost is to protect the CCP power base, the CCP authority. This is why it persecutes the dissident with cruel methods and attacks the good. Over the past years, and still now, as soon as the CCP is faced with a crisis, it accelerates its attacks on Falun Gong in an effort to divert people's attention.

Besides the persecuted Falun Gong, many people are now suffering and having difficulties. Some are even in despair. For example, during the CCP "Two Congresses," on the morning of March 4, six elderly citizens (the youngest was 60 and the oldest 88) from Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, went to appeal for assistance in Beijing. They weren't allowed to, so they tried to commit suicide by taking agricultural chemicals in the Dashalan business district, south of Tiananmen Square. They were rescued. On the morning of March 5, a female petitioner in her thirties from Xi'an, who protested the unfairness of the judicial and public security system, burned herself on Tiananmen Square. China's public sentiment can be inferred.

The CCP is not interested in proper business dealings. It utilizes all its national resources to attack good people who live by the principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. This has created a tragedy that affects the entire world. Shouldn't we expose the wickedness of this Party that is corrupt beyond words and oppresses people?
