(Clearwisdom.net) At around 10 p.m. on February 7, 2009 the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) Company concluded its last St. Louis Chinese New Year Splendor show before a full house at the Touhill Performing Arts Center of St. Louis Campus, Missouri University. The audience loved the show and showed it through prolonged applause.
The DPA gave a total of three performances on February 6 and 7 in St. Louis. The last show played to a full house.
The audience honored the performers with a standing ovation.
The DPA gave three performances in St. Louis and attracted people from all walks of life. Before leaving, many people said, "It was a splendid evening show! It was wonderful! The show exuded energy and vitality! and the dances elevated us spiritually!"
Missouri government officials, including the Deputy Governor, two federal senators, three congressmen and the President of the St. Louis Board of Aldermen sent greetings to the organizers of the shows. They thanked the organizers for bringing such a first-class show to the city and wishing the show a success.
Senator Rita Heard Days watched the final performance in St. Louis. She issued a proclamation and thanked the organizers during intermission.

Chinese Nationals: "We'll Come Back Next Year"
Miss Li from Chongqing City, China watched the show with her son. She praised the show excitedly during intermission, "It was so beautiful! The dances and the music were just beautiful!"
She said she mostly enjoyed theater performances., "I came to America eight years ago and this is the first time I watched such a high standard show." She also was highly appreciative that a traditional Chinese show could be seen in America.
At the end of the performance Mr. Pan and his Chinese wife said that the show was fabulous. Mr. Pan thought the show to be of a high artistic level. Both said, "We'll come to the show next year."
Representatives of Lewis Reed, President of the St. Louis Board of Aldermen: The Performances Are Inspiring
Harry Kennedy, Legislative Director, and Mary Culline, his secretary represented Lewis Reed, President of the St. Louis Board of Aldermen at the show. They enjoyed the show greatly. Ms. Culline said that they had seen many different shows, and the DPA show was simply the greatest and most beautiful show amongst them all.

Mr. Kennedy said, "It was great and very exciting! The costumes are so colorful and the performers are very talented. Excellent! The dancers' postures and movements are elegant. Their dancing skills, like jumping and somersaults, are of great caliber."
Ms. Cullins said that this was her first of seeing such a show, "History needs to be studied and observed. The show provides a good opportunity to understand it so it's very meaningful."

"The stage scenes were so beautiful, the music pleasant to the eye and the dances a joy to behold. I was stunned to see the high-tech backdrop."

"It was extremely beautiful. The costumes were so colorful and I enjoyed the DPA show very much, especially the jumps performed by the male dancers. These highly difficult movements won everyone's admiration," Mr. Harris said.

Ms. Parlin attended the show with her husband. She said, "The show tonight was magnificent. Its beauty is beyond my imagination.

Their movements are totally different than classical ballet. To me the Chinese culture is totally new and special." Ms. Palin said excitedly. She continued, "I loved it!"
Ms. Parlin was a ballet dancer some years ago, "I took ballet in my youth. Therefore, I paid particular attention to the dancers' hand movements. They are really beautiful. They must practice their hand movements over and over again to be able to reach such perfection."
