(Clearwisdom.net) On November 14, 2009, Falun Dafa practitioners continued their regular Saturday activity in Chinatown, exposing the persecution of Falun Gong in China and helping Chinese people to quit the Communist Party and its affiliated organizations.
Passersby find out more about the persecution
The practitioners set up display boards and banners at the plaza in Chinatown at around 10 a.m. The display boards told the history of Falun Dafa spreading to over one hundred countries and exposed the CCP's persecution.
Soon after the boards were set up, people started coming up to read them, and some started learning the exercises. One couple asked for more information about Falun Gong, as they were workers at a library responsible for exercises for seniors. Later, they invited practitioners to teach Falun Gong at their library. Many people learned about the persecution in China and signed their names on the petition supporting the practitioners' efforts to end the persecution.
Some young Chinese students passed by and said that they were recent arrivals from China. They talked with the practitioners about Falun Gong and the persecution. One student said that she was a journalism major and felt frustrated by how a journalist can't report news honestly in China. After talking to the practitioners, the students agreed to quit the Youth League and Young Pioneers organizations. A total of 21 people announced their decision to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
