(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 7 provinces. In this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 25 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiang Lan Sent to a Mental Hospital.
At the beginning of August 2009, Ms. Jiang Lan, a teacher at the Deyang Second High School, was reported to police while she was distributing Falun Gong materials in Longqiao, Deyang City. Currently, she is being detained and persecuted in the Deyang Mental Hospital.
2. [Beijing] Ms. Yang Zongting Arrested.
Ms. Yang Zongting lives in the Tuofangying area, Chaoyang District, Beijing. On September 17, 2009, she was arrested.
3. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Hu Ying Persecuted in the Liaoning Women's Prison.
Ms. Hu Ying is being brutally tortured in the Liaoning Women's Prison. When her family went to visit her, they found her so confused that she couldn't even recognize them. They thought that she had been injected with unknown drugs.
4. [Huaian City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Chen Shao Arrested.
Mr. Chen Shao from the Qinghe District of Huaian City, along with his wife, opened up a typing and printing store in Huaian City. Because they practice Falun Gong, they were taken away from the store by Zhang Shinong and other officers from the National Security Team of the Qingpu Police Department on April 13, 2009. The police ransacked the store and took away a computer and Dafa books, etc.
On the night of April 17, 2009, Mr. Chen Shao was sent to the Chuzhou District Detention Center in Huaian City. Later on, the police went to ransack his store again and took away a copy machine and a printer. He is being held in the Chuzhou District Detention Center.

5. [Jiangbei District, Chongqing City] Persecution Facts about Ms. Shi Shengbi in 2007.
Ms. Shi Shengbi, 62, is retired from the Jialing Chemical Factory. She lives at 151 Dongjiaxi, the Jiangbei District, Chongqing City. At 10 a.m. on November 27, 2007, she went to distribute Falun Gong materials in the family houses in Heyunxiao, Shiyoulu. She was taken to the Shiyoulu Police Station.
The police station confiscated an MP4 player, a ring of keys, a women's watch, and 30 yuan in cash from Ms. Shi.
6. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Li Dan Detained in the Yuanbaoshan District Detention Center and Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison.
7. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] The Persecution of Mr. Han Hongyong's Family.
At 8 p.m. on September 13, 2009, Mr. Han Hongyong, Ms. Liu Yaxian, and their youngest daughter from Lixiang Village, Daxue Township, Taihe District, Jinzhou City, were taken away from their home by officers from the Jizhou Police Department and the Daxue Police Station. They also took their laptop. Their daughter was released at midnight. That night, the couple was sent to the Jinzhou Detention Center and the Yi County Detention Center, respectively.
8. [Linjiang City, Jilin Province] The Persecution Facts about Mr. Xu Dongcheng.
Mr. Xu Dongcheng, 54, lives in Linjiang City. In December 2000, he was arrested by Geng Lidong and other officers from the National Security Team of the Linjiang Police Department. He was detained in the Linjiang Detention Center for more than two months. Later, he was sent to the Baishan Forced Labor Camp and was detained there for 18 months.
In August 2002, Mr. Xu was arrested by officers in the criminal division of Linjiang Police Department and was detained in the Linjiang Detention Center. On October 10, 2002, he was transferred to Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp and detained there for three years. The camp even extended his term by 110 days.
In April 2009, the National Security Team of the Linjiang Police Department ransacked Mr. Xu's home again. He was taken to the Linjiang Detention Center. 15 days later, he was transferred to the Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp for a 18-month term.

10. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Huang Peidong and Other Practitioners Arrested.
On the morning of September 19, 2009, officers from the Wanghua District Police Station arrested Mr. Huang Peidong, Ms. Wang Yulan, Ms. Fu Mingjie, Mr. Ren Changxue, Mr. Xia Hailong, Mr. Qiao Gengming and his wife, as well as other practitioners. They are being detained in the Heping Police Station in the Wanghua District.

11. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] More than 30 Falun Gong Practitioners Detained.
On September 15, 2009, the Zhengzhou Police Department arrested more than 30 Falun Gong practitioners. Currently, all of those arrested practitioners are being detained in the Matougangcun Detention Center of the Jinshui District Police Department. Most practitioners will be detained for 15 days.

12. [Chongqing City] Around September 17, 2009, Mr. Xiao Cao Was Taken Away from the Apartment He Rents.
13. [Shaoyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. He Yunfeng Taken to a Brainwashing Center.
At 5 a.m. on September 20, 2009, about 20 people from the Beita District Police Department, the Baichunyuan Police Station, and the Baichunyuan Street Administration Office went to the home of Mr. He Yunfeng in the Beitai District and took him to a brainwashing center.
Since 1999, Mr. He Yunfeng has been detained in a forced labor camp twice for a total of three years and three months. He was just released two months ago.
14. [Chongqing City] Ms. Yu Jierong Arrested.
On the night of September 17, 2009, Ms. Yu Jierong from Dadukou was reported to police while she was talking to people about Falun Gong and distributing Falun Gong materials. She was taken into custody by officers from the Chunhuilu Police Station in Dadukou. Her home was ransacked.
15. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yuai Sent to a Mental Hospital.
Ms. Liu Yuai from Linqu was sent to the Qushan Mental Hospital three times by her husband, Dong Jing. She now has the symptoms of dementia.
16. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] At Noon on September 21, 2009, Mr. Wang Hongwei Arrested and His Home Ransacked.
17. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Shaoxiang and Other Practitioners Arrested.
On the morning of September 20, 2009, Ms. Liu Shaoxiang, Ms. Sun Guiying, Ms. Chen Wenbi, Ms. Luo, Ms. Huang Mingrong, Ms. Xue Wenhui, and another practitioner were taken to the police station by plainclothes officers. The practitioners had been talking to people about Falun Gong in the Guanghan Farmer's Market. The police then ransacked their homes. They are being held in the Guanghan Detention Center.
On September 10, 2009, Mr. Huang Tongyi from Xinglong Town was arrested by officers from the Xinglong Police Station while he was talking to people about Falun Gong in Xinglong. His home was then ransacked. He is in the Guanghan Detention Center.
18. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Zhihui and Mr. Luo Changyong Arrested.
On the night of September 20, 2009, Ms. Chen Zhihui and Mr. Luo Changyong were spotted by a surveillance camera while they were talking to people about Falun Gong in the Longquanyi District. Afterwards, they were arrested by the local police. They are being detained in the Longquanyi District Detention Center.
On the morning of September 21, 2009, police from the National Security Teams, the 610 Offices, and police stations of both the Xindu District and the Longquanyi District ransacked the homes of Ms. Chen Zhihui and Mr. Luo Changyong.
19. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Deng Xiaoming Sentenced.
On July 8, 2009, Mr. Deng Xiaoming, a former teacher at Huayang High School, was sentenced to six and a half years in prison by the Shuangliu Court. In court, Mr. Deng said he would appeal.
