(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 33 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xie Lan, Over 40 Years Old, Was Arrested on October 1
2. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Mr. Hong Weisheng Arrested
Mr. Hong Weisheng, is 55 years old. On the evening of September 11, 2009, he was arrested by police from the Number One Division of the Changchun City Police Department, along with police from the Huaqiao Police Station, while he was at a rented apartment belonging to a Falun Gong practitioner in Huaqiao. He is currently being persecuted in a brainwashing center and his home has also been ransacked.
On March 1, 2000, he was tricked into going to the Jiyuqiao Police Station in Wuchang District by the local police who were pretending to be carrying out an investigation. He was sentenced to four years of imprisonment. In the Qinduankou Prison in Hubei Province, he was brutally tortured by policemen and inmates. He almost lost his life several times. Even today he still has three pieces of metal inside his left arm.

3. [Shaoguan, Guangdong Province] Several Practitioners Were Arrested, Current Whereabouts Unknown
Right before October 1, 2009, several practitioners from Shaoguan were arrested and their homes were ransacked. Their families do not know where they are. Mr. Arzhi, Ms. Lin Cailing, Mr. Zhang Jianping, Ms. Qu Yujin are among the missing.
4. [Mianyang, Sichuan Province] Li Shuqin and Xiao Liu Arrested
On the evening of September 28, 2009, police from Mianyang City, broke into Ms. Li Shuqin and Ms Xiao Liu's home. The two practitioners were arrested and their homes were ransacked. They are being detained in the Mianyang Detention Center.
5. [Chongqing City] Senior Citizen Ms. Zhang Yingqun Persecuted
Ms. Zhang Yingqun, a retired worker from Tongnan County, is over 60 years old. In April 2002, she was detained by the local 610 Office for over two months. In July, she distributed Master Li's articles to the detained practitioners and was reported to the reception room. She was then sent to a labor camp for one year. They tied her up and paraded her on the street along with criminal detainees. They were afraid that she would yell, "Falun Dafa is good!", so Luo Yonghong, from the 610 Office, tied her neck with ropes. The labor camp refused to accept her due to her high blood pressure and her son took her back home.
In March 2003, she went to the countryside to distribute Falun Dafa DVD's, and was reported on. She ended up being detained for one month.
At 7 o'clock on April 10, 2009, over ten policemen, led by Lu Yonghong, broke into Ms. Zhang Yingqun's home and took away a PC, Dafa books, a DVD writer and CD's etc. She was detained for almost 20 days. Later, she was sent to the Chongqing Xinzhuyunzhan Labor Camp. Due to high blood pressure and diabetes, she was released on bail for medical treatment.
6. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Fu Gaoyu Arrested
On the morning of September 24, 2009, Mr. Fu Gaoyu was arrested by police while he was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong in the Xinfeng Town market. His home was ransacked and Falun Dafa books were taken away.
7. [Dan County, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Several Falun Dafa practitioners from Dan County were arrested. They are Ms. Zhang Qingmin (68 years old), Mr. Cheng Xiangmin (69 years old), Ms. Liu Yumei (54 years old), Ms. Meng Qingmei (64 years old), Ms. Liu Yumei (54 years old), Ms. Hou Zhaoying (54 years old), Ms. Li Qing (39 years old) and Mr. Ning Fuhai (34 years old).

8. [Maoming, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yaming Arrested
On September 24, 2009, three Falun Dafa practitioners from Maoming; Ms. Yaming, Yawang and auntie Zou, were arrested after police broke into their rented apartment. Cash, printers, computers and two motorcycles were taken away. On the same day, Ms. Zhang and Ms. Liang Shaolin were also arrested. Their current condition is unknown.
9. [Wenjiang, Sichun Province] Bai Qunfang Sent to Xinjin Brainwashing Center
On September 30, 2009, Ms. Bai Qunfang, from Wenjiang District, Chengdu City, was sent to the Xinjin brainwashing center by police from the 7111 Factory Security Guard Team. Her husband, Mr. Yang Jianzhong is being monitored.
10. [Sichun Province] Luo Lihua Harassed by Police
On September 24, 2009, seven or eight people from the National Security Team of Meishan, ransacked the home of Ms. Lu lihua, in Yuexing.
On September 23, police from National Security Team of Meishan, along with people from the Residential Committee, harassed Ms. Yang Yuying and took away her copy of Zhuan Falun.
At 10 o'clock on September 15, 2009, five policemen from the National Security Team of Meishan and the Qinjia Police Station, went to Wansheng Town. They ransacked Ms. Chen Shufang's home and threatened Ms. Su, forbidding her to distribute Falun Dafa materials.
11. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Wang Hailing Persecuted
On the morning of October 2, 2009, Mr. Wang Hailing was discovered by police while he was distributing Falun Dafa materials. He was arrested and brought to the Tongan Police Station in North District, Qingdao City. At 1 p.m. on October 4 he was sent to the Qingdao Dashan Detention Center.

12. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Tan Suqiong Persecuted
Around 3 p.m. on September 24, 2009, several people, led by Wang Jianqiang, Deputy Director of Wutongqiao Village, Yangliu Town, went to Ms. Tan Suqiong's company. Ms. Tan was sent to Leshang brainwash center to be persecuted.

13. [Beijing City] Update on the Arrest of Mr. Liu Huaiyu, a Practitioner's Family Member
Mr. Liu Huaiyu, family member of a Falun Dafa practitioner, was arrested in Beijing by the Shijingshan Police Bureau. Current Whereabouts are unknown. His girlfriend, Ms. Zhou Wenqing was also arrested. His home was also ransacked.
14. [Shouguang, Shandong Province] At 7 o'clock on September 23, 2009, Police Broke into Ms. Li Fayao's Home and Arrested Her. Her Current Whereabouts Are Unknown.
15. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Yang Guizhen and Peng Fenying Sent to the Heizuizi Labor Camp
On September 15, 2009, nine Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested by the Huanshanlu Police Station from Fengman District, Jilin City. Among them was Ms. Yang Guizheng and Ms. Peng Fenying, who were sent to the Hezhuizi Labor Camp to be persecuted.
16. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Teacher Li Shuiting and Feng Zhaojing Arrested
Mr. Li Shuiting, a teacher from the She County third Middle School, was arrested at 4 o'clock on October 1, 2009 by police from the She County Police Department.
Later, police from the She County Police Department and the Chengan County Police Department, climbed over the walls and broke into Ms. Fengzhaojing's home. As result, she had a heart attack and was sent to hospital for rescue. Currently she is being monitored by two policemen in the hospital.
17. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Liu Chunyan Arrested
At 7 o'clock on September 19, 2009, seven police from the Nantong City Police Department, broke into Ms. Liu Chunyan's store and arrested Ms. Liu Chunyan, her husband Mr. Cai Xunming, and her son, Mr. Cai Qiang. They were detained in the Rugao Police Bureau. Her home was ransacked and computers and Dafa books were taken away.
Mr. Cai Xunming was released after four days, her son, Mr. Cai Qiang, was released after one 24-hour period. Currently their cell phones are being monitored. Ms. Liu Chunyan is still being detained in the Rugao County Police Bureau.

18. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Shuxiang and Ms. Chen Shuqin Injected with Unknown Drugs
Ms. Sun Shuxiang and Ms. Chen Shuqin, were detained. After they started a hunger strike, they were sent to Jilin Police Hospital. The authorities had the medical staff inject these practitioners with unknown drugs in order to persecute them.
19. [Gaobeidian City, Hebei Province] Li Kejian Arrested
On September 28, 2009, Mr. Li Kejian, from Longzhao Village, Gaobeidian City, was arrested by police from the Shijingshan Police Station. The police broke into his home, ransacked it and took a computer. Mr. Li is being detained in the Shijingshan Police Station. The police won't allow his family members to visit him.
20. [Shouguang, Shandong Province] On the morning of September 25, 2009, Ms. Liu Fengxiang Was Arrested by Police in Her Home

Around October 1, 2009, Mr. Li Chunshong, was arrested by police from the Tuanjie Police Station, Huaihua City. His current whereabouts are unknown.

22. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Zhao Yancheng, Liu Yongchun and Chu Daoan Were Sentenced
On September 22, 2009, three Falun Dafa practitioners were put on trial by the Changle City Intermediate Court. Mr. Zhao Yancheng was sentenced to a 12-year imprisonment and Mr. Liu and Mr. Chu received 8 years.
On September 13, 2009, Mr. Yu Xinmao was arrested by the Criminal Section of the Changle County Police Bureau. He is being detained at the Changle Detention Center.
23. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] You Junmei Arrested
On September 25, 2009, Mr. You Junmei, from Xipu Village, Wangcun Town, Zhoucun District, Zibo City, was arrested. He is being persecuted in the Zibo City brainwashing center.
