Liu Jinying's home was once again illegally ransacked. She was harassed by the police who also confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun. At this time Liu Jinying's husband, Mr. Zhang Dongsheng, is being illegally incarcerated at Shijiazhuang's No. 4 Prison in Hebei Province.

Before this, Liu Jinying has been illegally arrested on numerous occasions. She was humiliated and in 2000 she was illegally sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment. She has been cruelly tortured at Taixing Prison of Hebei Province, and the No. 2 Women's Prison in Shijiazhuang. In 2005, Liu Jinying was released and went home with injuries all over her body. This year, local Communist official Wang Fucai ordered three policemen to go to Liu Jinying's home to illegally ransack her house.

Liu Jinying was once the Deputy Chief of the Appeals Office in Laishui County. Her husband, Zhang Dongsheng, was once the Office Manager of the Property Tax Bureau. After Jiang's regime and the CCP began to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, the couple had been sentenced to illegal imprisonment for persisting in their faith. Liu Jinying was illegally sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment while Zhang Dongsheng was sentenced to 15 years. Within just a year, this happy family was broken up and brutally persecuted. Zhang Dongsheng's father and Liu Jinying's mother both passed away shortly after their children were taken away. They were unable to bear the mental and emotional trauma of knowing that their children were being tortured as well as being constantly threatened themselves by the Laishui Police Department and work units after their children were imprisoned. Liu Jinying's mother-in-law had a relapse of her illness and became partially paralyzed. She became bedridden and had no one to take care of her. Their young daughter has also suffered a great deal due to the prolonged persecution of her parents. She has been singled out and humiliated in front of the assembled students and teachers at her school. Laishui County personnel have also threatened Liu Jinying's father that they would stop paying his pension as a means of pressure. The family lives in fear every day.

During the five years that she was in Shijiazhuang Prison and Taixing Prison, Liu Jinying was tortured with devices designed for torture and she was poisoned with drugs. Every day she was beaten up by the criminal inmates under orders from the guards. They did not allow her to speak. Liu Jinying became very weak due to the poisoning from the drugs administered to her by the guards. She was frequently nauseous and always felt cold even when she wore thick clothing. She even had to hold on to the wall to hold herself while walking. In order not to disturb anyone or attract their attention, each time she had to vomit she would use her arms to help her crawl along the floor and use her head to push the basin to the bathroom. This way she could empty her own vomit in the wash room. Finally, she didn't even have the strength to stand up, so the guards ordered the criminal inmates to force-feed her drugs. She was not really sick, yet they insisted that she was. A few criminals would grab her and force unknown drugs into her mouth. Then they would not let her drink any water. Under such painful conditions, she had no choice but to drink the urine in the toilet. Prolonged administration of unknown drugs caused a lot of her hair to fall out, her teeth became loose and her skin color changed. In order to reduce the amount of the poison, she would frequently take the food out of the rubbish bin that had been thrown away by the criminals to satisfy her hunger.

Zhang Dongsheng was illegally arrested at his work unit by Laishui County Communist personnel. Later he was sent to the Yi County Detention Center. There he was handcuffed and shackled for 36 days and boils developed all over his body. Later he was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment. After being sent to No. 1 Prison of Baoding City, he refused to be "transformed" and was then sent to Shijiazhuang No. 4 Prison to be further persecuted. In order to hide how badly he was being tortured, for a long time the prison authorities refused to allow his family members to visit him. While incarcerated at the No. 8 Division, Zhang Dongsheng was beaten up so badly that he didn't even look like himself any more. Six of his teeth were knocked out and his mouth became crooked. The criminals who beat him were instigated to do so by Education Division Chief Zhao Jun.

After the couple were illegally imprisoned, the Laishui Police went to their home repeatedly to further ransack it and confiscate their property. They even went to Zhang Dongsheng's sister's house to threaten her family. While they were there, they robbed his sister of items worth twenty thousand yuan.
