(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 41 cities or counties in 14 provinces. In this report, 27 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 97 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Honghu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yuan Pinglan and Ms. Wu Qinyu Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Yuan Pinglan and Ms. Wu Qinyu of Honghu City were reported while clarifying the truth in a rural area on May 14, 2008, and were subsequently arrested. In mid June the two practitioners were sentenced to one year and one and a half years of forced labor respectively. They were escorted to Hubei Women's Forced Labor Camp for further persecution.
2. [Chongqing City] Ms. Wang Liuzhen Persecuted
Ms. Wang Liuzhen was arrested by officers from Sangang Police Station while clarifying the truth at Guanyin Bridge in mid May 2008. She is now being held at Huanxinjie Detention Center, in Jiangbei District.
3. [Langzhong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Dongshu Has Been Detained
Ms. Wu Dongshu in Langzhong City was reported while clarifying the truth at the teachers' dormitory of Dongfeng High School, Langzhong City on the evening of July 1, 2008, and was then arrested. She is now being held at the Huoyaoju Street Detention Center.
Ms. Wu's husband, Mr. Yang Zhengming, was sentenced to five and a half years of imprisonment for clarifying the truth in Cangxi County on January 8, 2007. He is now being held at Guangyuan Prison. Their mother, who is over 70 years old, was left behind without anyone to look after her.

4. [Inner Mongolia] Mr. Ouyang Zhandong Arrested
Mr. Ouyang Zhandong was arrested by officers from Chengguan Police Station, Yaoyang County while handing out truth-clarification materials in Gaoyang County, Baoding City on June 30, 2008. He is now being held at the Gaoyang Detention Center.
5. [Jindang County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wang Zhenhe and Ms. Zhong Zhifang Arrested
On June 14, 2008, Mr. Wang Zhenhe and Ms. Zhong Zhifang from Huaikou High School, Jindang County were arrested by police from Jianyang City while clarifying the truth in the city. Their homes were ransacked, and their computers, printers, Falun Dafa books and some other items were confiscated.
6. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Recent Developments Involving Mr. Yang Jianpo
Mr. Yang Jianpo went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution for two and a half years. He is now in critical condition. The prison have force-fed him every day.

7. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Aiying is Arrested
Ms. Liu Aiying from Quzhou County, Handan City was arrested by officers Chen Shifeng from the County National Security Division and Huang Shilin from Siding Police Station at around 10:00 a.m. on June 27, 2008. She is now being held at Quzhu County Detention Center.
8. [Gaobeidian City, Hebei Province] Ms. Cui Naiyun and Two Other Practitioners Have Been Arrested
Ms. Cui Naiyun, Mr. Hu Jundong and Ms. Wang Fengjiang were arrested by officers from Dongsheng Police Station on July 1, 2008.
9. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Zhangzong and Three Other Practitioners Have Been Arrested
Mr. Wang Zhanzong, 60, Mr. Chang Hengchun, 62, Mr. Li Zhiwei, in his fifties, and Ms. Guo Sufeng, in his fifties, all from Changzhuang Village, Yihezhuang Township, were arrested by officers from the Zhuozhou 610 Office and the local police station.
10. [Hebei Province] Fifteen Practitioners Have Been Arrested
At 7:00 p.m. on June 26, 2008, 15 practitioners from Zhaozhuang Village, Liangjiaying Township were arrested by officers from Baoding National Security Detachment and the 610 Office of Gaobeidian National Security Division. The arrested practitioners included Ms. Xiao Peiying, Ms. Han Xiuhong and her two sisters, Ms. Xiao Zhou, Ms. Lei Jinmin and Ms. Ma.
11. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Yu Zhiying Arrested
Ms. Yu Zhiying from Zhenhai District, Ningbo City was arrested again by the local police on July 1, 2008. She is now being held at the Zhenhai Police Department.
12. [Manzhouli City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Xing Jun Arrested
Ms. Xing Jun was arrested by officers from Manzhouli City on July 2, 2008 and is now being held at Hailaer City.
13. [Nanning City, Guangxi Autonomous Region] Mr. Gu Guorong Has Been Arrested
On June 20, 2008, the police broke into Ouding Electric Appliances Co Ltd and arrested Mr. Gu Guorong, who was working at the time.
14. [Beihai City, Guangxi Autonomous Region] Ms. Yang Xiaoqin Has Been Arrested
At 10:00 a.m. on July 2, 2008, a dozen or so officers from Beihai City National Security Division went to Ms. Yang Xiaoqin's home. They ransacked the home and confiscated Falun Dafa books. Then they took Ms. Yang away. Ms. Yang's whereabouts are still unknown.
15. [Chongqing City] Mr. Liu Changyu Has Been Illegally Sentenced
Mr. Liu Changyu from Jiangbei District, Chongqing City was illegally sentenced to two years of imprisonment.
16. [Ziyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Shulan Has Been Arrested
Ms. Li Shulan from China's South Locomotive & Rolling Stock Corporation Limited was arrested at home by officers from Ziyang City Police Department, the city's 610 Office and the police sub-department of his factory. Ms. Li Shulan's whereabouts are still unknown.
17. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Mr. Cheng Zipeng was Arrested
Mr. Cheng Zipeng, 46 years old, is now being held at Sili Detention Center. At 10 pm, July 2, 2008, the police from Anlu National Security Division and Fucheng Police Station broke into Mr. Cheng's home and arrested him.
18. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhang Gongyou was Arrested Again One Day After Being Released from Jail
Mr. Zhang Gongyou from Junping Township, Pengzhou City was sentenced to four years in prison. On June 9, 2008, he was released upon the completion of his term. At about 7:00 a.m. on the following day officers from Lichun Township Police Station, Pengzhou City went to force him to sign a guarantee statement promising never to practice Falun Gong again. Mr. Zhang refused and was arrested thereafter.
19. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cui Yazhi Has Been Arrested
At 9:00 p.m. on July 2, 2008, officers from Haicheng National Security Division and Niuzhuang Police Station went to Ms. Cui Yazhi's home and arrested her. The police then went to her elder sister Ms. Cui Yaxin's home to harass her. Ms. Cui's father Mr. Cui Chunbiao, in his seventies, is being held at Dalian Prison.

20. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] More Than a Dozen of Practitioners Have Been Arrested
At around 6:30 a.m. on July 2, 2008, Jinzhou Police Station Arrested Ms. Xiao Shao, Ms. Wang Suqing, Ms. Sun Jihong, Ms. Tang Xiuyun, Ms. Man Guirong, Ms. Da Liu, Ms. Meng, Ms. Ju, Ms. Wang, Ms Wang San, Mr. Wang Qiming, as well as Ms. Li Guiqin and her husband.
21. [Beijing City] Ms. Zhang Xiaoli Arrested
At around 6:00 p.m. on May 16, 2008, three plainclothes police from Shuangyushu Police Station, Haidian District broke into Ms. Zhang Xiaoli's home and arrested her.
22. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Mr. Han Qikuai Has Been Arrested
Mr. Han Qikuai from Shandong Province was arrested on June 21, 2008, and he is being illegally held at the County Detention Center.
23. [Rushan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Zhenrong was Arrested at Home
Ms. Gao Zhenrong, in her fifties, is a retired employee from the Rushan Silk Factory. On the morning of June 30, 2008, she was arrested at her home. She is now being held at the Rushan Detention Center.
24. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Additional Information on the Persecution of Ms. Li Qiaoying
On the morning of June 26, 2008, Cheng Shaojie from Laizhou City Police Department led officers from Shahe Township Police Station to forcibly take Ms. Li Qiaoying to the Shahe Township Police Station and transferred her to Laizhou City Detention Center in the evening. Her families were not allowed to visit her.

25. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xueju Has Been Illegally Sentenced
Ms. Wang Xueju was illegally sentenced to four years of imprisonment. She is now being held at the Jinan Prison.
26. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yan Hui is Arrested
Ms. Yan Hui from Xiaochecheng Village, Nanzhiqiu Township, Xinji City was arrested at noon on July 3, 2008.
27. [Fangcheng County, Henan Province] Ms. Ding Aiyun Arrested
Ms. Ding Aiyun was reported while distributing truth-clarification materials and was then arrested by the police. She was then taken to Xiguan Detention Center.
28. [Xiangcheng City, Henan Province] Ms. Tian Shuhua is Arrested
Ms. Tian Shuhua from Xiangcheng City was taken away from her home by officers from Zhoukou City Police Department on the morning of July 3, 2008.
29. [Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Zheng Aiyin and Her Sister are Arrested
Ms. Zheng Aiyin and her sister were arrested by lawless officials at 10:00 p.m. June 29, 2008.
30. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Five Practitioners Have Been Arrested
On May 19, 2008, five practitioners from Mianyang City were arrested at No. 404 Hospital while clarifying the truth to people in Beichuan County and Wengchuan County. One of them was released on the same day. Ms. Zeng Shufang, Ms. Yuan Xiuzhen and Ms. Li Fubi were illegally detained for 20 days before they were released. Ms. Zeng Shurong was illegally sentenced to one and a half years of imprisonment.
31. [Chongqing City] Ms. Rao Qinghui and Another Practitioner Sent to a Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Rao Qinghui, in her sixties, and Ms. Su Zebi, in her sixties, from Chongqing, were arrested by the police and taken to Shabao Women's Forced Labor Camp.

32. [Xiangfan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Daqin was Arrested
Ms. Li Daqin was arrested on July 2, 2008.

Around June 26, 2008, elderly practitioner Ms. Luo Qinzhen was arrested by the 110 patrolling police at Liushu Street, Xichang City. The Xichang National Security Division has locked her up at the City Detention Center.

34. [Yingcheng City, Hubei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
At around 9:00 p.m. on July 2, 2008, police from the Yingcheng City 610 Office and Dongmafang Township Police Station arrested Mr. Zhu Guanyuan, Mr. Yan Sanming, Ms. Du Zuying. Ms. Zhang Jingyu, Mr. Xiang Hongxing, Ms. Zhu Sichun and several others. At least eight practitioners' homes were ransacked.
35. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhou Ning and Ms. Yue Lihua were Illegally Tried
Ms. Zhou Ning and Ms. Yue Lihua were illegally put on trial at Jining City Intermediate Court on July 4, 2008.
36. [Hunan Province] Mr. Luo Jiabing Has Been Illegally Detained Three times
At 8:30 a.m. on July 1, 2008, Mr. Luo Jiabing was escorted to Xinkaipu Forced Labor camp, Hunan Province. He went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, and was forced-fed.

37. [Tianjin City] Ms. Wei Lianhua and Five Other Practitioners Arrested
On the evening of January 31, 2008, Ms. Wei Lianhua, Ms. Tan Yueli, Ms. Yu Xiuping, Ms. Gong Jingwang, Ms. Xun Boyun and Ms. Zhang Qiuyan were arrested while distributing truth-clarification materials at Baodi District. They are being held at the Baodi Detention Center. On July 26 they are to appear in court for an illegal trial.
38. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zheng Yongshui Arrested
At noon on June 30, Ms. Zheng Yongxin from Yinchuan City was arrested by officers from Funing Street Police Station. She was then sent to Yinchuan City Detention Center.

39. [Guanxian County, Shandong Province] A Female Practitioner was Raped by a Lawless Official
From December 2001 to April 2002, Yan Qing, deputy head of the Yanzhaugn Township 610 Office, Guanxian County, often led a group of people to harass a female practitioner and her family. He raped the practitioner twice after April.

40. [Tuquan County, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Liu Shurong Arrested
In the late hours of June 17, 2008, Ms. Liu Shurong from Tuquan County, Xing'an Administrative Division, Inner Mongolia was arrested by officers from Tuquan County Police Department and Xuetian Township Police Station. She is now being held at the Tuquan County Detention Center.
41. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Zhu Dechao and Several Other Practitioners Arrested
On May 20, 2008, Ms. Zhu Dechao, her husband, daughter Ms. Jiang Ruilin and fellow practitioners from Kunming area, who were at Ms. Zhu's home, were all arrested by the police and Ms. Zhu's home was ransacked. Ms. Zhu Dechao is being held at Wuhua District Detention Center, Kunming City.
42. [Guizhou Province] Mr. Li Zhengzhong and Two Other Practitioners Arrested
In the morning of June 29, practitioners Mr. Li Zhengzhong, Ms. Xiao Liqun and Ms. Liu Yingcai from Dujun City were arrested while clarifying the truth at a market. They are being held at the city detention center.
43, [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Qiming and His Wife Arrested
Mr. Wang Qiming from Qinzhou Feroalloy Plant and his wife were arrested by the police on the morning of July 2, 2008.
44. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Xiuping Arrested
At noon on July 2, 2008, police from Babaixiang Police Sub department of Daqing City went to the home of Ms. Zhao Xiuping from Feixu Engineering Company, Daqing City to harass the family. They forcibly took Ms. Zhao to Babaixiang Police Sub Station where she was fingerprinted and videotaped. She was released at midnight.
45. [Jilin Province] Mr. Xia Maoshu Has Been Persecuted
Mr. Xia Maoshu was persecuted at the Chaoyang Forced Labor Camp and has contracted a hernia.
46. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
On the evening of July 2, 2008, several officers from the Qianjin Police Station, Mudanjiang City forced their way into Ms. Zhang Cuizhi's home and arrested Ms. Zhang and Ms. Zhao Yunyan, Ms. Da Wang and others, who were studying Falun Dafa literature together.

49. [Dalian city, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Xiuxiang is Arrested
At 2:00 p.m. on June 20, 2008, Ms. Xun Xiuxiang from Jinzhou District, Dalian City was arrested by officers from the Youyi Police Station and detained her at Sanli Detention Center, Jinzhou District.
50. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhu Baojuan and Two Other Practitioners Arrested
At about 3:00 p.m. on July 1, 2008, Zhang Guang, head of Jianye Township, Linghai City and his men broke into Ms. Zhu Baojuan's home and ransacked the house. They took away a computer, a printer, a color printer, Falun Dafa books and some other items. The thugs also took all the family's cash. Ms. Zhu Baojuan was handcuffed and pushed into a police car. Practitioners arrested at the same time included Mr. Jiang Guoqing and Ms. Fang Liuying. Mr. Jiang and Ms. Fang are being held at the Linghai City Detention Center.

51. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Zhengming Arrested
Mr. Wang Zhengming was arrested at his home on June 29, 2008.
52. [Yanji City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qiu Fenglian and Ms. Liu Shumei Have Been Arrested
On the evening on June 29, 2008, Ms. Qiu Fenglian and Ms. Liu Shumei were arrested by officers from Xinxing Police Station while clarifying the truth. Now they were sent to Yanji Detention Center.
53. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Hou Changku Arrested
On July 1, 2008, officers from Haicheng National Security Police collaborated with the township police to break into Mr. Hou Changku's home. They arrested the practitioner and ransacked his home.
54. [Beijing City] Ms. Yang Huizhu Detained at Daidian District Detention Center
Mr. Tang Huizhu is an elderly practitioner from Beijing. On the afternoon of June 27, 2008, she was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials. She was taken to the Huayuan Road Police Station. Her Falun Gong books were confiscated. She is now being held at the Haidian Detention Center, Beijing City.

55. [Zhangqiu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Guosheng Arrested
Mr. Zhang Guoshen, 41, from Zhangqiu City was a math teacher at Xiliu High School, Diaozheng Township, Zhangqiu City. He was taken away at work by officers from the 610 Office of Zhangqiu City Police Department. Now he is being illegally held at the Zhangqiu City Detention Center.
56. [Changyi City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Suzhen Arrested
At around 10:00 a.m. on June 19, 2008, officers from Changyi 610 Office and Yinma Police Station broke into Ms. Wang Suzhen's home in Yinma Township. They confiscated several Falun Dafa books and forcibly took her to Yinma Police Station. Ms. Wang Suzhen is being held at the Changyi Detention Center.
57. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xun Li Arrested
Mr. Xun Li, 37, from Zhucheng City, Shandong Province was arrested by officers from Jiayue Township Police Station while clarifying the truth in Mazhuang Village, Jiayue Township on the afternoon of June 25, 2008.

Ms. Qu Haizhen from Jinan City was arrested while distributing truth-clarification materials and her home was ransacked. She is now being held at Jiangshuiquan Women's Forced Labor Camp.
59. [Shenze County, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Yanjie Sentenced to Forced Labor
On or about June 20, Ms. Xu Yanjie was arrested by officers from Shenze County Police Department. She is now being held at the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp.
