(Clearwisdom.net) On February 28, 2008, the World Organization for Human Rights held an Information Day activity at Badenova Stadium in Freiburg, Germany. Falun Gong practitioners from Germany and Switzerland participated in the activity. They exposed the truth about the persecution against Falun Gong to the spectators who came to see the women's soccer match between the German team and the Chinese team and called on the Chinese Communist regime to put an end to the persecution of Falun Gong.
After 2 o'clock in the afternoon, nearly two hours before the game formally kicked off, many soccer fans started to enter the stadium. Over 10,000 spectators converged at the stadium from various places by train, bus and car. Many of them received truth-clarification flyers from Falun Gong practitioners at the train station, parking lots, intersections, the entrance or the sidewalks to the stadium. Some of them declared that they would take a close look at them after being seated.
Upon seeing the truth-clarification display boards, many people slowed down to view the information on the boards and then approached the table to sign the petition calling for an end to the persecution. When sitting at a bar to have some drinks, an elderly couple put on their glasses to read the materials one after another attentively. The elderly woman then waved the practitioners over to ask for a petition form. When signing the petition, other customers happened to enter the bar, so she asked them to sign the petition, too. They didn't leave until the elderly man also signed the petition.
After the match was over, many others also received truth-clarification materials while walking out of the stadium. Though it was getting dark and started to drizzle when the practitioners were about to leave, a group of adults and children from a couple of families stopped at the booth. All of them signed the petition one after another.
A passerby said that it was the first time he had heard about the Chinese regime's brutal persecution against Falun Gong and that it was hard for him to imagine how such an atrocity could go on in this day and age. Before leaving, he gave thumbs up to the practitioners and said, "Keep up the good work. I wish you great success."
