Some Thoughts on Reading the Minghui Article: "Firmly Believe"

December 21, 2008 |   By Tongxin, a Falun Dafa practitioner in Thailand

(Clearwisdom.net) I was quite touched by a practitioner's article on the Minghui website (http://minghui.ca/mh/articles/2008/12/3/190977.html). Firm belief in Master and the Fa comes from putting cultivation into real practice. Indestructible belief can only be attained from letting go of one's sentimentality and selfish needs--human thinking and human notions that have been formed in one's very bones, which are selfish and not wanting to be touched. When conflicts, interference and trouble come, we sometimes fail to look at things with a cultivator's mentality; instead, we measure things with human thinking and try to find a way out by considering it an isolated matter. When one road is blocked, we try to find another way out. A true cultivator should consider things and solve problems from the perspective of the Fa when dealing with conflicts.

From the perspective of individual cultivation, the things that one encounters are touchstones of one's cultivation process on the way to determining one's xinxing level, endurance and capacity. How could one increase gong simply by drinking tea on the sofa? It is by no means easy. Therefore, we must regard all conflicts, inference and trouble as opportunaties to elevate, so we can make good use of this opportunity and holistically improve through various tests. If we can do everything according to Dafa, everything that the old forces has arranged will serve no use, and will completely vanish in the end.
