(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Zhang Guosheng, a Dafa practitioner from Jiaohe City, Jilin Province, was arrested in April of this year and taken to Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp. He was repeatedly put under "close watch," which involved cruel torture, including being stretched out on a bed, being hung up by handcuffs, and having his ribs whipped. He has been tortured to the point that he can no longer walk normally. On November 12, 2008, he was again tortured by the guards for two or three hours by being stretched across a bed.
Mr. Zhang is the owner of the Shunda Furniture Shop. On March 25, 2008, at around 10:00 a.m., a group of officials from Xinzhan Police Station of Jiaohe City, Jilin Province, stormed into his shop. They included the station's deputy head, Li Hongxiang, along with Sun Jicheng, the very cruel Guo Fucheng, and Wang Dukun. Mr. Zhang was arrested and taken to the police station, where officers attempted to torture a confession out of him. They beat him, hung him up by his handcuffs, and tortured him using the tiger bench until his hands were black and swollen and his legs were so badly injured that he could not walk normally. On April 25, 2008, these officers had Mr. Zhang taken to Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Zhang was found to have severe symptoms of hepatitis during the physical exam, but the labor camp refused to abide by the results, which would have meant rejecting his admission. Jiaohe Public Security Bureau officials insisted that nothing be done about Mr. Zhang's condition. It was not until April 28 that the labor camp authorities sent a notification to Mr. Zhang's family about his arrest, but they refused to sign their names to it. The guards told the family that Mr. Zhang had shouted "Falun Dafa is good" and distributed four flyers, and this was the illegal behavior upon which his 15-month sentence was based.
Practitioner Mr. Li Wenjun, 42, worked at the Jilin City Light Vehicle Tool Factory. On July 12, 2008, Luan Bin, head of the Gaoxing District Police Station in Jilin City, and more than ten police officers broke into Mr. Li's house. They arrested him and both his elderly parents and took them to the police station. After four days Mr. Li's parents were allowed to return home, and Mr Li was taken to the Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp. He was held there for 15 months, during which time he was subjected to severe mistreatment, including being force-fed one to two times daily. He is currently very weak and needs assistance to walk.
