Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

The deputy chief of the Shandong University 610 Office, Liu Xiuzhan, died of cancer on October 16, 2008, at age 58.

Liu Xiuzhan took an active part in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. He talked to practitioners at the university one by one and tried to force them to write a guarantee statement. Whoever refused was taken to the police station. Many practitioners ended up being sent to brainwashing centers, detention centers, and forced labor camps. One practitioner was sentenced to forced labor many times. To this day, he is being denied compensation and is monitored.

At the end of 2006, Liu Xiuzhan was diagnosed with bone cancer. He had to endure great pain.

Tangshan Electricity Power Company police department Chief Yang Zhaoguang, 54 years old, died of a sudden heart attack on October 1, 2008.

After the CCP began the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, Yang Zhaoguang participated in the CCP's treachery. He was hostile to Falun Gong and took an active part in arresting practitioners; interrogating, beating and abusing them; and handcuffing them behind their backs, causing severe wrist injury.

Wang Kelin was the chief of Jiangcheng Town Police Station when the persecution began on July 20, 1999. Wang aggressively persecuted practitioners. He arrested, detained, extorted funds from, abused, and beat practitioners at will.

One night in 2003, Wang Kelin and his wife were walking on a Mancheng County road when she stopped to talk with friends. Wang Kelin walked forward less than 10 meters when a car suddenly struck him, killing him instantly.

After July 20, 1999, the deputy chief of the Dongzhou District Judicatory Bureau, Song Qiuju, persecuted practitioners many times. Her despicable behavior brought her family bad luck. Her husband jumped off a high building and died, and she developed throat cancer and was tortured by the pain.
