(Clearwisdom.net) One day when we were having group Fa-study, a practitioner rapped out his complaint that I was spreading rumors about him. I was very confused at what he said at first, but then I recalled that Teacher asks us to "search my inner self when encountering problems." ("Teaching the Fa at the Conference in Canada")
Remembering the Fa, I calmed down and started to search inward very carefully. As a result, I found lots of human notions, such as bearing a grievance against other practitioners, feeling that I had been treated unfairly, only accepting praise but not unpleasant words, emphasizing myself, always picking on others' faults, being too emotional and not forgiving, being selfish, as well as the attachment of jealousy, the mentality of showing off, the attachment to "doing things," and several other attachments. It was the first time that I had truly looked inward. Before that, since I only studied the Fa at a superficial level, I didn't even know how to look inward. Without searching my inner self, I thought I was pretty good in my cultivation. That practitioner was like a mirror exposing my attachments.
As soon as I found my attachments, I started to send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate them. When I was sending forth righteous thoughts, I felt a sense relief. I could feel our compassionate Teacher take away all those heavy, rotten things from my body that originated from my human attachments.
Thank you, Teacher, for your great compassion. It was Teacher's benevolence and Dafa that guided me to witness the Dafa principle of "Cultivation depends on one's own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one's master." (Zhuan Falun) From this experience I gained a deeper understanding of what Teacher meant when he said, "the entire cultivation process for a practitioner is one of constantly giving up human attachments." (Zhuan Falun)
Teacher gives us many things, and I must "Endure the pain, diligent." ("Climbing Mount Tai" from Hong Yin) Only when we study the Fa well can we validate Dafa better, save sentient beings, and do the three things well. I will live up to Teacher's compassionate salvation with my righteous thoughts and righteous actions and be worthy of Teacher's benevolence.
