(Clearwisdom.net) The resort city of Pattaya, Thailand, facing a wide, open bay, is a famous coastal vacation resort in Asia. Tourists from all over the world visit throughout the year. I have a friend who has been living in Pattaya for some time, and told me about many amazing things that have happened there.

There is a German woman who comes to Thailand every year. A few years ago she met a monk on the beach who taught her to do a sitting meditation. She felt that it connected with something deep in her life. Ever since then, when she comes to Thailand, she looks for the monk to study meditation with him. But this time, instead of meeting the monk, she met a German-American man who led her to a group of people doing the sitting meditation at the port of Pattaya. That group practiced Falun Gong. My friend, who speaks good English, briefly introduced Falun Gong to her and showed her some of the exercises. The German woman followed along with just a few moves and then exclaimed, "Oh my god! This is what I am looking for. I found what I am looking for!" When she came back to the practice site the next day, my friend told her that there were Falun Gong practitioners in Germany too, and wrote down the contact information for a practice site in Germany. A Japanese gentleman who teaches school in Pattaya had heard about Falun Gong five years ago. When he heard practitioners talking about how the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) is persecuting Falun Gong, he said, "The Communist Party is not good; whatever it opposes must be good." This man has tried many different kinds of religions but had not found what he was looking for. When he learned more about Falun Gong, he soon asked to learn the exercises. He could even do the "holding up the wheel" (second exercise) for over 40 minutes! He could see something shining in front of him. He felt that it was so amazing! He then talked to teachers and students in many schools about Falun Gong, and suggested that they learn it. He phoned a young Japanese man and told him, "You should fly over here, to learn something really good." The young man indeed flew to Pattaya and learned the exercises. The Japanese gentleman sometimes helps Chinese practitioners distribute the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to tourists. He tells Chinese tourists with his poor Chinese, "You should read this book!" His sincerity moves people, so they usually accept the book from him.

There is a homeless Thai person around the port who can speak English. He read the practitioner's truth-clarification poster, and listened to my friend talking about the contents of the poster. He often brings other Thai people over to read the posters, and he explains the information to them. He told my friend, "You tell me, then I can tell them."

There is a homeless guitar player who lives around the beach. No one knows where he is from. By chance, he heard the practitioners' music, "Pudu." He said to the practitioners in English, "This music is from heaven, but people here are degenerate. The music is from God, to save these people."

One day, a Falun Gong practitioner played the Dafa music, "Jishi," while walking along. Several passersby suddenly stopped their talking and looked around, then came over and asked to listen to the music. They listened intently until it finished. They were moved by this unique heavenly music that stood out among all the noise and loud modern music filling the busy street.

These moving stories are manifestations of the great Buddha Fa displaying the mighty power of saving sentient beings. The Fa is reviving the memories that people have deeply buried in their minds. People throughout the world, regardless of whether they are rich or poor, Eastern or Western--it doesn't matter--are awakening. The most precious thing is the deep thought under the surface. Only this thought can make life shining and beautiful.
