Kaohsiung, Taiwan: Divine Performing Arts Inspires Audience with Performance (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Divine Performing Arts' outstanding performances on April 14 to 15, 2007 in Kaohsiung were a dazzling combination of music and dance. The performances showcased the Chinese culture of pure kindness and beauty and left profound impressions with the audience.

The Executive Officer of Southern Legislative Body You-Hong praised the performance and expressed his hope that all Chinese people around the world will embrace and celebrate this great Chinese culture. Mr. You's wife was particularly moved by the dance performance "A Dunhuang Dream." She expressed her belief that Gods and Buddhas would bring people inspiration and wisdom.

Legislator of Kaohsiung City Lee Fu-hsing attended the performance on April 15. He saw a poster promoting the show and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Mr. Lee once studied in Japan. The Great Tang Dynasty culture showcased in the performance "Creation" was familiar to him, because early traditional Japanese culture was heavily influenced by the Tang Dynasty. Mr. Lee praised how the performance integrated culture and the arts with science and technology, and helped to create a calm and peaceful atmosphere. He called it a "heart-warming, unique artistic performance."

History Museum of Kaohsiung Curator Chen Hsiu-feng liked every performance. She said that the traditional culture portrayed by the performance was exactly what today's society needed. She expressed her hope that Divine Performing Arts would often come to Taiwan to perform. She particularly praised the dances, and also expressed her admiration of the Erhu solo by Qi Xiaochun.

After watching the performance by Divine Performing Arts, President of the Design Institute at the Shu-Te University Wong Ying-hui said that the essence of Chinese culture showcased by these performances is what he has been longing for. Mr. Wong stressed that by carrying forward our cultural heritage, we can instill those traditional values into our lives. At the same time, today's educators should enforce those traditional values such as loyalty, filial piety, and respect for Gods and Buddhas.

Director of the Modern Art Society in Kaohsiung Wang Wu-sen was amazed by the performance and said that the performance was of the highest caliber. He expressed his hope that there would be more such performances in different counties and cities in Taiwan, so that more people can enjoy this display of authentic Chinese divinely-inspired culture.
