(Clearwisdom.net) On August 5, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners held a parade in Edinburgh to protest against organ harvesting and call for an end to the persecution in China.
Since the Chinese Communist Party started to suppress Falun Gong in July 1999, millions of Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted: illegally imprisoned, fined, beaten up and tortured. At least three thousand Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China have been tortured to death. The CCP's trade in organs harvested from live Falun Gong practitioners has been recently disclosed. It was labeled the most heinous crime on this planet by David Kilogram, former Canadian Secretary of State for the Asia-Pacific region, who independently investigated the incident. Their report into allegations of organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners in China has completely exposed the evil nature of the CCP.
In order to have more citizens in Scotland become aware of the persecution
and the CCP's cruel and wicked nature, Falun Gong practitioners held the parade
to protest against the atrocities and call on the public to help stop the
persecution.
Female practitioners in white held portraits of Falun Gong practitioners in
mainland China who have been persecuted to death, affirmed through investigation
and verification. Both in the front and rear of the parade, Falun Gong
practitioners were separately holding related banners and exhibition boards
depicting the cruel methods used by the CCP to persecute Falun Gong
practitioners and how overseas practitioners have peacefully and rationally
resisted the persecution for a long period of time. The parade passed through
the busiest street in Edinburgh, Princess Street. At the same time,
practitioners distributed leaflets and chatted with passers-by as well. The
whole process of the parade was solemn and serene.
In the meantime, Falun Gong practitioners also collected signatures for the petition against the persecution on several street corners. Many people signed the petition and wished the practitioners good luck.
