1. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Li Yequan Holds a Hunger Strike - His Life is in Peril
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Yequan is staging a hunger strike at the Suihua City Forced Labor Camp to protest the persecution. On June 16, 2006, personnel from the Suihua City Forced Labor Camp said that the Daqing City Oil Management Bureau had agreed to release Li Yequan, but it has to be approved at the provincial level. Personnel from the Heilongjiang Province Labor Education Bureau said that they had not yet received the application from the Suihua City Forced Labor Camp. Li Yequan’s wife went to the labor camp and inquired about his status. Personnel there told her that it is still being processed. To date, there is no news.
2. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Personnel from the Hegang City Court Hold a Hearing for Practitioner Liu Liping and Others - No Verdict Yet
Xiangyang District Court officials in Hegang City held an illegal hearing for five practitioners, including Ms. Liu Liping, Mr. Shang Xiping, Ms. Yang Yongying, Ms. Hu Guijie and Zhao Guiyou. The hearing lasted from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No verdict was given and the hearing was dismissed.
3. [Beijing] Practitioners Men Xiangrong and Liu Chunyu Arrested
It was reported that personnel from the Qiantong Town Police Station, Yanshan County arrested practitioners Mr. Men Xiangrong (40 years old) and Liu Chunyu (around 40 years old) when they were on their way to Shandong Province on the evening of June 8, 2006. They are now being held at the Yanshan County Detention Center.
4. [Beijing] Li Ke and Gu Baolin Held at a Detention Center
Practitioner Mr. Li Ke, 23 years old, lives at 9-4-401, the Jia Section in the Guoyuanxili Neighborhood, Miyun County. He was arrested on February 25, 2006 only because he helped his parents to download some Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials from the Internet. He is now being held at the Miyun County Detention Center. Personnel from the No. 7 Division of the Beijing Detention Center transferred him on March 30. He was transferred back to the Miyun County Detention Center from the Beijing Detention Center on May 30.
Mr. Gu Baolin, 43 years old, lives in Shayugou Village, Mujiayu Town, Miyun County, Beijing. He was reported to police while distributing truth-clarifying materials in the village on May 15, 2006. Personnel from the Miyun County Police Department arrested him and put him into the Miyun County Detention Center. He was sentenced to two and a-half years of forced labor on June 14, 2006.
5. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Duan Yun was Tortured and Her Home Ransacked
Five or six Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime agents including Wang Guang, the village’s Security Committee head and Laoyazhuang Town Police Station head arrested practitioner Ms. Duan Yun at around 8:00 p.m. on April 25, 2006, while she was preparing budget to install a heater for a fellow villager Wang Chongsheng. She was put into the Laoyazhuang Town Police Station and locked onto a metal chair for as long as 24 hours. She was not given food during the entire period and was then detained for a week.
6. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Wu Yuqin’s Husband Died at a Police Department and the Authorities Enforced Cremation - Belated Information
Zhang Chengguo, head of the Political and Security Section of the Qianshan District Police Department, led six or seven policemen to break into practitioner Ms. Wu Yuqin’s home at around 8:00 p.m. on October 4, 2004. They didn’t show any identification, and ransacked Ms. Wu’s home, arrested and took her to the Political and Security Section. Then, on October 5, they sent her into the Anshan City First Detention Center.
On October 7, the Political and Security Section agents had the community office inform Ms. Wu’s husband, Mr. Sun Zhonglin (not a practitioner, in his 70s) to send his wife some clothes. Mr. Sun went to the Political and Security Section at noon of October 8. In the afternoon, a person from the Qianshan District Police Department called Mr. Sun’s family and said, "Sun Zhonglin was sent to Anshan City’s Central Hospital." Sun Zhonglin’s son went to the hospital and found out that his father had died a while prior. His father had many injuries, and his whole body was black and blue. Some wounds appeared to be caused by electric shock. To destroy the evidence, the police authorities cremated Mr. Sun in mid-July 2005, even though none of the family members agreed. Mr. Sun’s two sons went to appeal in Beijing, but they were sentenced to one year and nine months of forced labor.

7. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner He Xiaoqiu Has Been Unlawfully Held for Over Four Years - One of Her Legs is Fractured - Belated Information
Practitioner Ms. He Xiaoqiu from Fuxin City has been illegally held since March 17, 2002 at the Anshan City No. 1 Detention Center. Because one of her legs is fractured, the Dabei Prison rejected her admission several times. Practitioner Ms. Liu Suhuan is also being held at the detention center.

8. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Wang Jiasheng Has Been Transferred to the Qing County Detention Center
Due to renovation of the Cangzhou City No. 1 Detention Center, practitioner Mr. Wang Jiasheng and all his cellmates have been transferred to the Qing County Detention Center. Sun Jiange, the latter detention center chief, forbade any visits from Mr. Wang’s family.
Practitioner Mr. Zhang Jinwu has been transferred from the Cangzhou City No. 1 Detention Center into the Botou Detention Center.

9. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Wang Shulan Arrested
Ms. Wang Shulan, 69 years old, lives in the Jiulong Garden of Zhucheng City. Plainclothes police arrested her around 8:00 p.m. on June 16, 2006, when she was distributing truth-clarifying materials.
10. [Shanghai] Practitioner Yang Jie Arrested
Personnel from the Shanghai Police Department arrested practitioner Ms. Yang Jie on May 24, 2006 and sent her to the Nanhui District Detention Center at noon.
11. [Hanyang City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Li Huandi Put into the Dongxihu Detention Center
Someone reported 50-year-old practitioner Ms. Yang Huandi when she was distributing truth-clarifying materials at a supermarket on May 6, 2006. The police then put her into the Dongxihu Detention Center. Family visits are forbidden.

13. [Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Lin Xiulian Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Lin Xiulian distributed truth-clarifying materials at Baihua Park in Zhaoqing City on around June 12, 2006. A Park security guard reported her. Then lawless personnel from the Jiaoyuan Police Precinct arrested her. It was heard that for reporting one Falun Gong practitioner one is rewarded with 5,000 yuan. Currently, Lin Xiulian’s whereabouts are unknown.

14. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] One Falun Dafa Materials Production Center Destroyed - Yan Xiuying and Several Other Practitioners Illegally Arrested
Personnel from the Weidong District Police Department destroyed a Dafa materials production center in Pingdingshan City at about 6:30 p.m. on June 12, 2006. Three practitioners, Ms. Yan Xiuying, Ms. Nie Ya, and Mr. Han Dongshun, were arrested and sent to the city’s detention center the next day.
