Germany: Lighting up Lamps of Hope (Photo)

April 09, 2006 |

(Clearwisdom.net) On Saturday March 25th, a small group of Falun Gong practitioners from Northern Germany gathered in downtown Bremen to expose the crimes of the Chinese Communist regime in the Sujiatun Concentration Camp.

We distributed flyers informing the people of this latest news: Since 2001, the Sujiatun Concentration Camp has illegally detained Falun Gong practitioners. In the camp, the Chinese Communist regime harvests organs from living practitioners for profit.

A young Chinese girl passed by but wasn't willing to accept a flyer. Apparently, she was afraid of the communist regime. A Chinese student told us frankly that he knew the persecution very well and had also read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. "I couldn't accept your materials as other students are watching me. If I take them, I will be in trouble," the student said. Nevertheless, he gestured his support for our effort.

Some people stopped to read the information and they were rather shocked by the news. Many of them talked with us. Two young German ladies stayed at the booth for quite some time. They read, discussed with each other and listened to our explanations. Before leaving, they sincerely thanked us and shared a proverb with us, "It is better to light a small lamp than to curse the darkness." One of the two told us, "You have opened a new window to my heart, thank you!"

Later, a group of Chinese tourists from Dalian passed by and they were very willing to accept our materials. When they found out one of the practitioners was also from Dalian, they were very happy. Regarding the issue of withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations, they said, "We will think it over."

In the afternoon, the rain becomes a drizzle and more people came to our booth. We did not need to explain much as they already knew about the brutality of the CCP from media reports. However, they were still shocked by the inhumane atrocities in the Sujiatun Concentration Camp.

Many people asked how they could help. We invited them to sign the petition and to urge German politicians to pay attention to human rights in China. People are awaking and they are realizing the evil nature of the Chinese Communist regime. We hope that our tireless efforts will light up more lamps of hope around the world.
