(Clearwisdom.net) On March 25th, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners and volunteers from the Epoch Times newspaper held activities near the Helsinki train station to support the nine million brave people who have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations, and to protest against the Communist regime's atrocities in Sujiatun Concentration Camp where Falun Gong practitioners have been killed and their organs removed for profit and their bodies cremated to destroy evidence of the crimes. They called upon all kind-hearted people to stand together to condemn the Chinese Communist Party and stop the atrocities.
Banners reading, "Urgently Rescue Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners" and "The Nine Commentaries has Triggered 9 Million Brave Withdrawals from the CCP," were displayed. Posters exposing the Chinese Communist regime's history of persecuting its own people and the killing of Falun Gong practitioners in Sujiatun Concentration Camp were laid out on the ground. Many people came to sign a petition calling for the immediate end to the atrocities in Sujiatun Concentration Camp.
Among the protesters were two women wearing a "hunger strike" sign. While giving out leaflets exposing the Chinese Communist regime's atrocities, they called on people to help stop this violence together.
The reporter interviewed participant Ms. Chen. She said, "When I first heard about the atrocities in Sujiatun Concentration Camp committed by the Chinese Communist regime against Falun Gong practitioners, I was extremely shocked and saddened. Today I would like to express my strongest protest against the evil Chinese Communist Party by taking part in the 24-hour hunger strike. These terrible atrocities occurred in today's civilized world, and it is a shame for the whole human race and the whole world. I hope my actions will help to awaken people's conscience and sense of justice so that urgent action can be taken to rescue the persecuted Falun Gong practitioners."
When the activities began, it was very chilly, with strong winds followed by snow. But the bad weather didn't affect people's concern. The voice of support and questions of concern were heard continuously: "Well done!" "I Support you!" "Wish you luck!" "I want to know more," "How can I help you?" "Where can I learn Falun Gong?"
During the event, people in succession accepted practitioners' leaflets and came to sign the petition. A lot of people came straightaway to give their signature when they saw the sign about the petition. It was so cold that the pens on the petition table often didn't work. However, such a little hurdle didn't matter at all: People either took out their own pens to sign or waited patiently while the volunteers tried different pens.
A student from the University of Helsinki spoke to Falun Gong practitioner Dr. Li who is doing research work at the University. The student said, "This topic is really not easy. It is too brutal. But I know Falun Gong is very peaceful, similar to Tai Chi." Dr. Li told him about the Epoch Times' editorial, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, which details the true nature of the Party. Dr. Li recommended that the student read it on the Internet, to help him understand why the Chinese Communist regime would persecute Falun Gong. The student said he would, and also signed the petition.
A few girls in bright colorful clothes came to the petition table with smiles. When they saw the sign reading, "Falun Gong practitioners killed and their organs removed in the concentration camp," they immediately stopped laughing and asked the practitioner who was holding the sign a set of questions: "What is Falun Gong? Why is Falun Gong persecuted? How is the human rights problem in China related to us?" The practitioner explained to them, "Falun Gong is a cultivation method that originated in China. It teaches people to be good people by following the principles of 'Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.' The Communist Party is evil and promotes lies, evilness and violence. Therefore it wants to persecute good people. Even Falun Gong practitioners in Finland have been interfered with by the Communist Party."
The practitioner continued, "Nowadays you can see many cheap products in Finnish stores that are made in China. Many of them were made by Chinese people detained in forced labor camps, and among them many are Falun Gong practitioners who are being detained for their firm belief in 'Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.' You know that there are many large Finnish companies doing business with China. These companies have to follow the orders of the Chinese Communist regime, which does not allow the companies to hire Falun Gong practitioners and does not allow these companies to have their own correct view about Falun Gong. If they do not agree, they are not allowed to do business in China. The regime uses money and commercial interest to silence big companies, as well as many governments and media. Consequently, the regime is able to escalate the persecution of Falun Gong continuously without much restriction. The atrocities of killing and taking organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and cremating their bodies in the Sujiatun Concentration Camp are totally beyond people's imagination; it is truly the actions of demons. Could we still stay silent? Isn't silence indulging those crimes? The result of our silence would be that more people would be persecuted. The disasters brought by the Nazis in Germany to the whole of Europe and the world in World War II demonstrated this very clearly." The girls all nodded in agreement and then carefully signed the petition.
