China Press (Malaysia): Falun Gong Practitioners' Organs Harvested

April 06, 2006 |

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 2, China Press, the second largest Chinese newspaper in Malaysia, reported that the U.S. government had pressured the Chinese Communist regime to investigate a claim of Falun Gong.

The claim alleged that several thousand Falun Gong practitioners detained in a concentration camp in China have been killed and their organs were removed for sale.

The report said that deputy State Department spokesman Adam Ereli told reporters, "The Chinese have publicly denied the allegations. We've made the point that a further investigation would be helpful. We urge that it be done."

Falun Gong recently alleged that the Liaoning Provincial Thrombus Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine located in Sujiatun, Shenyang has detained 6000 practitioners since 2001. The hospital extensively harvests organs such as kidneys, livers and corneas from these practitioners for sale.

Ereli said, "Well, obviously, any such reports are taken very seriously by us. We haven't been able to confirm them. We have contacted the government of China about them."
