(Clearwisdom.net) On April 25, 2006, practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the "4.25 appeal". They called on the international community and media to pay attention to the on-going 7-year-long persecution in China and recently revealed the CCP's brutal crime of organ removal from live Falun Gong practitioners to stop the inhuman genocide.
In the evening, practitioners lit candles and peacefully commemorated the seventh anniversary of "4.25 appeal"
Practitioner Sue said, "It has been seven years. Every year on April 25 we come to have a peaceful protest. On March 9, 2006, the CCP's bloody atrocities of organ removal in the Sujiatun Concentration Camp were revealed, which are just the tip of the iceberg in comparison with CCP's persecution of Falun Gong in all concentration camps and labor camps. The CCP's persecution is going on year after year. The brutality is extremely shocking."
Ms. Zheng participated in the 4.25 appeal in 1999. She recalled the appeal clearly. She said, "We stood on Fuyou Street in Beijing for 15 hours. Police were everywhere and police vehicles lined up on the street. I knew our peaceful and rational petition was not wrong. After reading the Nine Commentaries of Communist Party, I understand the CCP's nature. The CCP must persecute because it only pays attention to its own interest and privilege."
On April 25, 1999, ten thousand Falun Gong practitioners appealed at the National Appeal Office based on rights granted by the Constitution of China and requested the release of the practitioners unlawfully arrested in Tianjin. They also requested a free cultivation environment and legal publication of Falun Dafa books. But less than three months later, on July 20, 1999, the CCP regime under the leadership of Jiang Zemin broke its promise of "freedom to practice" and initiated the inhuman, brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners.
On April 25 each year, practitioners in Vancouver have gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate and held a candlelight vigil. They conduct a 24 hour non-stop peaceful protest in front of Chinese Consulate and have continued this for more than four years. In the evening, drivers in cars passing-by honk their horns to express their support.
