Ms. Qi Songling, 66, was retired from Chongqing City Chang'an Factory. In April 2006, when Ms. Qi went shopping at the Jialefu Supermarket on Mianhua Street, she was suddenly searched by security staff. When they found Falun Dafa truth clarifying materials, they reported her to the police and she was arrested. Later, the police searched her house. They confiscated some Falun Dafa materials and a copy machine. At around 10:00 a.m on September 21, 2006, she was tried by Yuzhong District Court in the No. 34 courtroom. Except for Ms. Qi's relatives, the majority of people who attended the hearing were Falun Gong practitioners. During the trial process, Ms. Qi clarified the truth mercifully and peacefully with wisdom. After the trial ended, practitioners clarified the truth to the agents and police officers. The personnel who tried Ms. Qi and the police officers were told by practitioners not to persecute Falun Gong.

Ms. Qi is currently detained at the Yuzhong District Detention Center at Liziba. After October 1, 2006, she will reportedly be tried again by the Yuzhong District Court on Zhongxing Road.
