(Clearwisdom.net) When I first started to send technical articles to the Clearwisdom website, I was attached to whether my articles got published or not. I knew it was an attachment, but I couldn't get rid of it. I found various excuses for my attachment. If my article was published, I would be very happy. If it was not published, I would think to myself, "My article was pretty good. Why didn't they publish it?" I knew I shouldn't have thoughts like this, and that I needed to eliminate that attachment. Since I was using my human notions to judge things, even though I searched and searched, I couldn't figure out what my attachment was.
I knew I was stuck somewhere. Why was I smug if my articles were published? Why did I use my own notions to judge things if my articles were not published?
Gradually, I became clear that my attachment to self played a role in this. The standards I used to judge things in the past were all based on self. Put simply, I was trying to validate myself. On the surface, I was contributing to the Fa-validation process, but my selfishness was hidden behind it. After I eliminated the thought of validating myself, when I sent articles to the Clearwisdom website, I didn't have the old, selfish notions anymore.
When I first started to recommend different technologies to fellow practitioners, I often used my own notions to decide whether a technology was suitable for our use or not. If a technology did not conform to my notions, I would not recommend it. I once found a technology that I felt was pretty good, but it was a little difficult for me to learn. So I didn't study it or sort it out carefully.
Later, other practitioners posted their recommendations about this technology. I was greatly moved by this. I looked inward and found out that I was using my human mentality to treat technical issues. The mentality of avoiding difficulties suppressed my righteous thoughts, and I didn't use the requirements of the Fa at different levels to deal with technical issues.
I realized that the progress of Fa-rectification would bring along certain developments in technology. Since everything in the world was created for Dafa, practitioners' choice of technology is laying the foundation for future generations. On the surface, we simply decide which technology to use. But there are deeper meanings behind those decisions. If a technology is good, and I don't recommend it, other practitioners will do so. Teacher will use various ways to help us realize our hidden attachments. Sometimes, learning a new technology takes time and we may feel that we don't have time to do it, but we need to use the requirements of the Fa-rectification period to decide what needs to be done.
I also realized that it's not important whether the method I recommend is adopted or not. Teacher said in "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Experience Sharing Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.,"
"It's not like Gods see that your idea worked and then they raise your level. Instead, they only raise your level when they see that your understanding of it has improved. This is a truth in the Righteous Fa."
For example, when I was researching a specific technical method, I found many related resources on the Internet, many of which I had never seen before. One of them was much easier to use than my old method, so I recommended it. I knew that Teacher pointed it out for me. I realized that it's not important who provided the method. The more important thing is whether the method will help with practitioners' Fa-validation. We need to find the best technology and assimilate it to Dafa. Everything exists for Dafa. Our assessment of what technology to use should be based on the Fa.
We need to be responsible for the technology we recommend to fellow practitioners. We need to make sure the technology is functional, safe, easy to use and deploy, and we should try our best to ensure that the information we provide is accurate. It doesn't mean that the recommended technologies are absolutely the best since each practitioner's cultivation level is different. If we can do our best at our levels, that's the best thought a being can have. We need to use righteous thoughts to decide whether we should or should not recommend certain technologies. We should not take extreme measures.
I once had this thought, "Everything I have, every practitioner's cultivation path, and the surrounding environment are our own choices and were created by Dafa. Dafa created us and gave us everything. Shouldn't we do our best to harmonize the Fa?"
This is just my personal understanding, and I hope fellow practitioners will compassionately point out anything inappropriate.
