Li Jieming is the orphan of Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Li Baoying and his wife Ms. Wang Hong from Dongchang Village of Changtan Town, Liaozhong County of Liaoning Province. His uncle no longer looks after him. We ask fellow practitioners outside China not to mail things to him anymore since he is unable to receive them.

Li Jieming, 16 years old, has quit school. It is known that he is presently staying at his own home alone. His father, Li Baoying, died on January 2, 2005 (lunar Chinese calendar) during persecution, at the age of 41.

His mother, Wang Hong, was also a Falun Dafa practitioner. In December 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. She was illegally detained in four forced labor camps (including Longshan Forced Labor Camp) for about eight months. During detention, she did not cooperate with the evil and was subjected to beating and physical punishment. After transfers to several other forced labor camps, she was sent back to Longshan again, where she received further inhumane treatment, which resulted in her having severe kidney failure.

During the last moments of her life, prison officials still refused to release her and threatened that her family members could pick up her body up after she died. She was finally released on August 22, 2001. Her body was covered with wounds. Wang Hong died on August 31, at the age of 39.
