Press Release: Falun Gong
Despite accolades from the press, world leaders and people worldwide, the Chinese Government refuses to change its stance on Falun Dafa.
A series of bombings in London has reminded the world that violence and injustice continue to occur and that good people continue to be victims. For a few days, the eyes of the world, through the medium of television, have been focused on the horror that a few evil people can impose on innocent human beings.
But these events pale besides the genocide that has been carried out in the (People's) Republic of China for the last 6 years. Six years ago, the persecution of Falun Gong was authorized by Jiang Zemin, ex-leader of the Chinese Communist Party, and overnight the life in China changed for 100 million Chinese practitioners of Falun Gong. Whilst upholding their beliefs, they faced arrest, detention, forced labor, torture, rape, the loss of jobs, homes and, in many cases, their lives. To date, there have been over 30,000 documented cases of severe abuse and torture of Falun Gong practitioners. According to information sources from inside the Chinese government, the death toll could be well over 5,000; details of over 2,600 have already been documented.
Yet, after 6 years of violent suppression there are signs on the horizon of positive changes which augur for a brighter future.
Millions of Falun Gong practitioners, inside and outside of China-engaging in perhaps the largest grass-roots effort in history-have worked for six years to unravel the web of fear and hatred spun by China's state-run media. They have done this by hanging up posters and handing out flyers, posting articles online and, especially, by talking heart to heart with people around the world. The result is that people have gradually realized the horrific extent to which Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist have persecuted peaceful, non-political citizens.
Information revealed by defectors from the Chinese Communist Party have highlighted the extent of the persecution against Falun Gong being perpetrated outside of China. Former Chinese diplomat, Chen Yonglin, former 610 officer, Hao Fengjunin (both from Australia) and former Chief of the Justice Bureau in Shenyang City, Han Guangsheng (Canada), have sounded the alarm revealing the degree of infiltration by the Chinese Communist Party espionage network into countries such as Australia and New Zealand.
Another focal point pointing to a brighter future has been the resignations of three million people from the Chinese Communist Party. Over the last 8 months 3 million Chinese have publicly renounced their membership of the C.C.P.
The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) stated that its mission is to publicly expose inhuman crimes, to allow the perpetrators to be put on trial in the Court of Conscience and Law and to restore and uphold justice in society. At the same time, its mission is to safeguard justice and conscience, and cherish human beings' precious lives. We call upon all kind people to join together to stop the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and bring the CCP to justice. http://www.zhuichaguoji.org/
