I have mainly two views on writing articles to validate Dafa. First, we should not be blocked by human notions, and second, we should validate Dafa from various points of view.
Many practitioners think that when they write articles validating Dafa, only grand understandings and experiences are important to share, and small things are not important. But these thoughts are based on notions formed in the ordinary society. When we write articles, as long as our starting point is validating Dafa instead of validating our selves, whether the event or experience is large or small does not matter because the starting point is pure. I have come to understand this point.
A while back I wrote an article entitled, "Looking Inward While Eliminating Sickness Karma," in which I described my experience with a severe sickness karma tribulation. By looking inward, Master's benevolent compassion and Dafa's extraordinary power manifested in me, and I was able to pass the test quickly. Later on, in order to testify to the magnificence of Dafa and to expose the evil, I wrote another article about a relative of mine. My relative recovered from near death by practicing Falun Gong, and after he recovered, he clarified the truth about Falun Gong and suffered repeated persecution. When my husband read the first article he said, "The topic in your article is too insignificant, and maybe it will not be published." I said, "Although the event is not a big one, it can still validate Dafa and testify to the magnificence of Dafa's mighty power." One or two days later, the Minghui website published the article.
Seeing that my two articles were published on the Minghui website so quickly, my husband said, "Well, I guess I should change my own notions." My husband has an advanced education in literature, and his skills are greater than mine, but in his mind he had the notion that only writing about broader issues can validate Dafa. Such a notion blocked him from taking full advantage of his own professional skills to write more articles validating Dafa.
There are sayings among ordinary people such as: "Greatness can be reflected from small things," and "The truth is contained within the subtle." As long as the starting point when we write articles is validating Dafa, exposing the evil and clarifying the truth, our articles can definitely exert an effect, no matter whether they are about large things or small things. Just like when we clarify the truth during our daily lives, even one flyer, one telephone call, or a sentence of "please remember that Falun Dafa is good" can frighten the evil and save sentient beings. Therefore, as Dafa disciples we should never be blocked by ordinary people's notions. Otherwise, this can affect our cultivation and validating Dafa.
From this experience I realized that when writing articles validating Dafa we can write them using different points of view. We can write down our own cultivation experiences and validate Dafa from our own perspectives; we can also write about the cultivation experiences of other practitioners from our own perspectives. In order to provide different frames of reference to practitioners for their own improvement, when we write articles, we can either write just about an experience, or we can include the lessons we have learned from our continual understanding of the Fa.
