(Clearwisdom.net) Located in the center of Barcelona, La Rambla is a primary thoroughfare that connects Plaza de Catalunua and the Statue of Christopher Columbus. Even during the era when Spain was plagued with wars, the flower shops and bookstores on La Rambla never stopped trading. In the view of the people of Barcelona, this place symbolizes peacefulness and tranquility. They are deeply proud of it. During the weekends, La Rambla is frequently packed with both local residents and tourists.
On April the 4th, Spanish practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition in La Rambla to expose the brutal persecution against Falun Gong in China. Practitioners arrived at La Rambla at ten o'clock in the morning. People started to come over and view the information boards before the practitioners could even finish setting them up. After hearing about the ongoing persecution against Falun Gong in China, they all signed their names on a petition calling for an end to the persecution.
The practitioners' re-enactment of a few of the brutal torture methods used in cruel attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs shocked the Spanish people. People asked what help they could offer to stop the persecution. When they were told that their signatures were needed for the petition, they lined up in front of the signature desk to sign their names.
Two young girls told their mother seriously: "Mama, please sign for us as well."
One couple said, "How could they suppress such a peaceful cultivation practice so brutally? It is hard to imagine that the Chinese people don't even have the right to do things as simple as cultivation exercises!"
Upon seeing the anti-torture exhibition with real-life models, an older lady first thought the torture was happening somewhere in Spain. She asked: "This is Spain, how could people allow this to happen?" When she heard that this was a demo showing the ongoing persecution in China, she immediately joined the line waiting for her turn to sign a petition to support Falun Gong.

An elderly lady in a wheelchair passed by the exhibition site. She carefully read the descriptions on the posters, with help from her relative, then came to the petition table. People automatically got out her way, and the lady seriously signed her name on a petition form.
A pupil approached a practitioner acting as a Chinese policeman and asked with curiosity, "What's going on here? Are you really a policeman?" The practitioner told him, "We are not real policemen, but we are simulating the horrendous persecution that's happening in China. Many people who believe in 'Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance' have been persecuted to death." The student was speechless. "Would you like to help them?" asked the practitioner. "Of course I would!" He nodded his head seriously. The practitioner then told him, "You may go to the desk over there to sign the petition." The boy rushed over to sign immediately.
Among those who queued up to sign the petition were people from various ethnic groups, including Chinese. When passing by, Chinese people could not help but stop to take a look. A practitioner handing out flyers asked them, "Do you know the treatment of Falun Gong is the most appalling injustice?" They replied, "Yes, we have heard of it." The practitioner continued, "This persecution is still going on at present. Many people have been persecuted to death, even an eight-month-old baby and the elderly in their seventies or eighties are no exception." One of the Chinese people said, "It is the Chinese Communist Party's consistent practice to oppress good people." Another added, "It certainly is. They are so evil that many Chinese people have left the mainland and gone to live overseas."

A Chinese gentleman came to the exhibition site. He accepted a copy of truth-clarifying material from a practitioner. Pointing to the Caucasian practitioners, he asked: "What organization do they belong to?" As the practitioner didn't understand his question at the beginning, he then asked again: "Which organization did you Falun Gong jointly organize this event with? The practitioner then pointed to the Caucasian practitioners: "Are you talking about them? They are practitioners." The gentleman was surprised, he said: "Are there Spanish practitioners? "Of course, there are more than 100 million practitioners in more than 60 countries," the practitioner replied.
The Chinese who appeared to be college students told practitioners they had visited minghui.ca (Chinese clearwisdom.net) and know some facts of the persecution. They thanked practitioners for giving them truth-clarifying VCDs and other materials and promised that they would share these materials with others.
During the exhibition, many kind-hearted people signed the petition to express their support for Falun Gong and some took extra copies of materials to share with their teachers, classmates, family members or coworkers. There were also some people who wanted to buy the books of Falun Dafa and learn the exercises.
Near the anti-torture exhibition site, there was a bar run by a person from Ecuador. The owner came over to sign the petition and told the practitioners that he could feel the strong energy from the exhibition site across the street.
