(Clearwisdom.net) The 61st session of the UN Commission on Human Rights is currently convening in Geneva. At the same time, the "Uncompromising Courage" Art Exhibition sponsored by the Swiss Falun Dafa Association was unveiled on March 21, 2005, in the Grutli Art Center, Geneva.
People view the paintings and listen to practitioners' explanation
The art exhibition received great support from related institutions in Geneva. They offered the exhibition hall free of charge for the one-month exhibition. In only more than 10 days, practitioners worked day and night and overcame all kinds of difficulties to finally finish the framing and mounting on time, which allowed the exhibit to begin as scheduled.
All art works exhibited at this time were created by Falun Gong practitioners. Although due to the limited conditions, only replicas were displayed, practitioners' noble artistic conceptions from their cultivation practice as well as their outstanding skills in painting made these works extremely touching. Their artworks reproduced the brutality of the persecution of Falun Gong in China. They also depicted Falun Gong practitioners' uncompromising courage and great benevolence and endurance in the face of hate, torture and killing. The paintings displayed the beauty of Falun Dafa.
In the exhibition hall, many visitors carefully viewed each piece of art. They also had deep discussions with practitioners on the spot. A visitor said that he could feel the tremendous power of these artworks. He hoped that these paintings would be exhibited in more places in Switzerland. Many visitors expressed that although they are aware of the persecution of Falun Gong in China, they could never imagine that the suppression is so brutal and inhuman! Through viewing the exhibition, they learned the facts and had a deeper and more concrete understanding about the tragedy that should have never occurred and the Chinese Communist regime's dictatorship. People are shocked that these atrocities are taking place in the 21st Century. One after another, people signed the petition calling for an end to the ridiculous suppression which has lasted for more than five years. Some visitors even asked for more empty forms and said that they wanted to help collect more signatures, so as to allow more people to be aware of the facts.
The exhibition will be held for a month and conclude on April 22.
