(Clearwisdom.net) Before the May 1 holiday, no one I talked with resigned from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) when I clarified the truth about the CCP, although I had followed Teacher's requirement to do the three things. Every night I visited families to clarify the truth and I tried to persuade them to resign from the CCP. I spent one to two hours each time. Some said they would think about it, so I left a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and my phone number with them. Some were cool towards me and just seemed to want to get our conversation over with. Some said I was playing politics, or that I was against the party and told me to leave. Even though I wasn't discouraged, I felt sad that none of the people I talked with would withdraw.

After six months, I started to get good responses from people when I "clarified the truth" to them. In June, two people withdrew from the CCP, 34 in July, 42 in August, 100 in September, and 141 in October. Now, when I go out in the afternoon or at night for one to two hours, a dozen people will withdraw, or sometimes, just three to five people. I only have to spend about ten minutes or just say a few words for a person to want to withdraw. I feel good and delighted. When I get home, I say to Teacher, "I feel so happy being able to cultivate Dafa and save sentient beings." Up until now, I have helped approximately 300 people to resign from the CCP. It really is a breakthrough for me.

Below are two examples:

It was a rainy night. I went downstairs at 7:30 p.m. as usual (For the last five years, I have gone out every night to clarify the truth, regardless of the weather). I didn't bring any rain gear with me. I went to a garden in front of the building and didn't see anyone there. So I went to a business section. I visited three restaurants and a barbershop and I got people to resign in all of these places. When I went to the first restaurant, I clarified the truth to six people sitting around a table. They all signed the resignation sheet. I said to them, "When Heaven destroys the CCP and great catastrophes come, and you all are safe, you should remember that on this rainy night, a Falun Dafa practitioner created this predestined relationship for you to be saved. You need to shout, 'Falun Dafa is good!'" They enthusiastically invited me to sit down and to have dumplings with them. One of them brought me a glass of beer. I thanked them and said, "My Teacher told us that we are only to save people and we are not to seek fame or rewards. We do not drink and I can't eat your dumplings." Everyone laughed. It was a happy moment for the sentient beings who were being saved. Later, when the owner of the restaurant brought out some food for his customers, he also withdrew.

As the rain continued to fall, I arrived at another restaurant. The owner was drinking with another man who had an unhappy expression. Before I had a chance to speak, he said to me earnestly, "Auntie, help me find someone to rent my restaurant." I didn't promise him right away. Instead, I told him about withdrawing from the CCP. I started with the flooding in the south, the hot and dry weather in the north, tsunamis, typhoons, and the avian flu, and I told them that all these things happened because of Jiang's regime persecuting Falun Gong. I also said that if humankind continued to ignore the wrong doings, Heaven would intervene, and that when Heaven wants to extinguish the CCP, catastrophes will follow. All the good people who have joined the Communist Youth League, the Young Pioneers, and the CCP can withdraw through the Epoch Times website. Those who want to withdraw can use their real name, a made-up name, or a nickname. They will accordingly be safe. When they heard that the CCP would perish, the owner had an excited look. Both of the men withdrew from the Youth League and the Youth Pioneers. I then said, "Don't worry about renting out your restaurant. When you withdraw from the evil spirit, everything will be all right."

When I passed by the restaurant three days later, I thought about the owner's wish to rent out the restaurant. I went into the restaurant. A young fellow greeted me. I asked, "Where is the owner?" He replied, " I am the owner." I asked in surprise, "Where is the owner who is about forty years old?" The young fellow replied, "He rented the restaurant to me." "When?" "Yesterday." The young fellow asked me why I was looking for the previous owner. I told him what had happened and about the withdrawal. The young fellow and his girlfriend had already resigned. One night when I passed by the restaurant at about 9:30, I noticed that two extra tables had been placed outside. I suddenly remembered that the reason the previous owner rented out the restaurant was due to lack of business.

For the last six months, I have had breakthroughs with the withdrawal situation. Five out of my six family members have resigned and all my relatives have also resigned. I had asked fellow practitioners more than a dozen times to help me persuade my husband to quit the CCP (He always had a negative opinion about my Dafa cultivation), but he still was unwilling to resign. However, I asked him on the day after my children had declared their withdrawals, "What name do you want to use for your resignation?" "OK." It was as simple as that. My mind was very quiet and I didn't have any strong desire for him to resign. I also didn't feel any excitement. It seems that when the conditions are right, success is assured.

My breakthrough could be due to the following factors:

1. I had only read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party twice. During the May 1 holiday, I heard that other practitioners had read it seven times and that this had raised their xinxing levels a great deal. I thought to myself: It was no accident that I heard about this. Right away, I watched the videos twice and read the book twice. After reading the book six times, I felt it made a great difference. I ceased using the phrases of the vicious party in my speech or writing. The interference was greatly reduced.

2. Sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the bad thoughts in my mind and the vicious elements from the CCP. After sending forth righteous thoughts each time for at least five minutes, I also sent forth righteous thoughts for my husband. I did it at a short distance from his head at midnight and at six in the morning. I persistently did it and the situation changed. Every time I read "Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. International Fa Conference," I remembered Teacher's hint:

"Also, the malevolent party's factors still exist in the minds and bodies of those who don't see it clearly for what it is." "And after you do that, you have to eliminate it."

3. Looking inward unconditionally, cultivating oneself, and passing the xinxing tests.

Teacher says in Zhuan Falun:

"Mentally overcoming tribulations is the key to truly improving one's level."

On the path of Fa-Rectification cultivation, the majority of obstacles are xinxing tests. When encountering a conflict, such as others saying something bad about us, either directly or behind our backs, or being reprimanded or negated, we need to look within ourselves. Why would others say such things? We need to analyze ourselves mercilessly and judge ourselves with the Fa. When we study the Fa diligently, the Fa will change everything.

After the May 1 holiday, our Fa study group was interfered with and I was very annoyed. Fellow practitioners in the group criticized me a lot. When a practitioner said bad words to me and criticized me, I was in great pain (I hadn't yet passed the test when a coordinator criticized me). All of them were practitioners that I had known for years. During the time we studied the Fa at my home, I would clean my home and prepare the meals. I had also helped other practitioners clean their kitchens, clear their blocked sewers, or clean their restrooms. Why all of a sudden, had this happened?

Teacher says in "How to Provide Assistance," from Essentials for Further Advancement:

"Some assistants have done their work by issuing orders. This is not permitted. Learning the Fa should be voluntary. If a student does not want to do so from the bottom of his heart, no problems can be solved. Instead, tensions may arise. Tensions will intensify if this isn't corrected, thus severely undermining people's learning the Fa."

"Then how can we do the assistant job well? First off, you should treat yourself as one of the students instead of considering yourself above them."

"Once you have the intention of building yourself up, the students will think that you have a xinxing problem. Therefore, only by being modest can you do things well."

After reading these paragraphs, I found the following problems, with deep regret:

I unconsciously considered myself to be the leader and used the Fa and my own understanding to teach and guide others.

When I encountered a problem, I habitually said how I would solve the problem. I told others how I recognized it, how I cultivated, and how I did the three things. I indulged in exaggeration. My complacency and show-off mentality were thoroughly exposed.

I hurt others without knowing it, because of my quick temper. I said things forthrightly, not paying attention to my manner of speaking, and lack of compassion, patience, and tolerance.

I was bossy and thought I had cultivated better than others. I used my own understanding to tell others to follow.

I was attached to fame and was unwilling to listen to words I found unpleasant. Teacher says in "Cultivators' Avoidances,"

"Those who are attached to their reputations practice an evil way, full of intention. Once they gain renown in this world, they are bound to say good but mean evil, thereby misleading the public and undermining the Fa." (Essentials for Further Advancement)

And in "True Cultivation,"

"As a matter of fact, when you agonize over infringements upon your reputation, self-interest, and feelings among everyday people, it already indicates that you cannot let go of ordinary human attachments." (Essentials for Further Advancement)

By comparing myself with Teacher's Fa, I found my attachments and omissions. That is the reason our Fa-study group was experiencing interference. That is the reason I was unable to overcome the obstacle of fame and stayed at the same level for such a long time. That is also the reason I was unable to help people sign the withdrawal sheet. The attachments made me feel like I was at the end of my rope and couldn't go any further. Teacher's teaching makes me feel,

"After passing the shady willow trees, there will be bright flowers and another village ahead!" (Lecture Nine, Zhuan Falun)

As I thought of my cultivation goal, I crossed another obstacle. It is difficult to memorize the Fa, but we still need to do it.

I have been memorizing Zhuan Falun for over a year. I tried to memorize it paragraph by paragraph. In August of this year, when I tried to memorize it for the seventh time, I suddenly had the idea of memorizing a section at a time. I have memorized the first three sections of the first lecture. I then had difficulty memorizing the fourth and fifth sections. Although I was very familiar with each paragraph, I just couldn't connect them together. I thought to myself, "I must memorize it." Kneeling down in front of Teacher's photo, I bowed three times and said to Teacher, "I have started memorizing the Fa very late. Teacher please help me." As I knelt in front of Teacher's photo, I memorized the fourth and fifth sections.

I felt a cool breeze and cold water pouring over the top of my head like a guanding. My mind was very clear. Right away, I was able to memorize the sixth section, "Why Doesn't Your Gong Increase with Your Practice?" It was between 11:00 p.m. and midnight.

I overcame a misconception: In the past I thought I would be sleepy between 11:00 p.m. and midnight and thought it wasn't suitable for memorizing the Fa. I thus only read Teacher's new articles or the experience sharing articles. Memorizing the Fa is cultivation and one cannot use an ordinary state of mind. It took me less than thirty minutes to memorize lecture two, section one, "The Issue of the Celestial Eye" that is fifteen pages long. I felt that both my mind and body were different. I had a breakthrough in persuading others to withdraw from the CCP. Not only has the number of withdrawals increased, but also my proficiency has become higher. My cultivation situation has also improved. I have a new understanding of "What is Emptiness?"

"What is emptiness? Being free of attachments is the true state of emptiness." (Essentials for Further Advancement)

Memorizing the Fa is my safeguard for doing well the three things we should do. Grasping firmly the time to study Fa has made my cultivation proceed more smoothly. In the meantime, when I do the three things well, I am able to memorize the Fa faster. Cultivate diligently.
