(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Xu Changhong started practicing Falun Dafa in 1994, and his wife Su Xiaolian started in 1995. After the persecution started on July 20, 1999, they appealed for justice for Dafa in Beijing. They were persecuted many times by local police, forced labor camps and their work unit. Changhong's parents-in-law were harassed and their home was ransacked. Changhong's mother went to the police station and demanded the release of the couple many times, but they were not released.

Mr. Xu Changhong was a pharmacist at Zhongxing Hospital in Xianning City. After July 20, 1999, he and his wife appealed in Beijing. Changhong was sent to forced labor camp for one year in October 1999. He was illegally imprisoned in the Xianning Forced Labor Camp and the 3rd Unit of the Qilihu Forced Labor Camp, Shayang County, Hubei Province. He suffered from pleurisy after he came home but recovered after practicing Falun Gong for some time.

Mr. Xu Changhong was arrested from work on April 24, 2004 and sent to the Wenquan Public Security Bureau in Tongshan County, Xianning City. He was illegally imprisoned for four months.

At about six o'clock at night on September 7, 2005, the police illegally ransacked Mr. Xu's home. They confiscated a computer, some Dafa books and a notebook that the police thought valuable. At the time, his wife Su Xiaolian confronted the police. She asked their names and their reason for ransacking her home. Policeman Mingyang said, "It is because you practice Falun Gong that we represent the government to ransack your home." He then tied her hands up behind her back. That night, she went to Yihaoqiao police station to ask for her house key from policeman Pi Jian. Pi said that she should come the next day. However, the next day he said that the key had been sent to the sub-bureau. The sub-bureau officer said that Du Zhixiang of the state security team was not there and that she should come in the afternoon. But when she came in the afternoon, the officer refused to give the key to her using all kinds of excuses.

The next day, September 8, 2005, Liu Ying from the state security team, Wang Dongmin from the agriculture science institute and others ransacked Mr. Xu's parents-in-law's home for over an hour. There was no one home at the time, and the police did not care about being criticized. They took away Falun Gong clothes, Teacher's lecture VCDs, and other private property that were bought before 1999.

Mr. Xu's mother went to the Wenquan Police Station twice and demanded that they release Mr. Xu. The first time she went was on the morning of October 8, 2005. Police officer Liu Ying said that his supervisor Du Zhixiang, was on his holiday and he didn't have the authority to release Xu. She tried again on the morning of November 15, 2005. Du Zhixiang said that Mr. Xu had been arrested and was waiting to be sentenced.

Mr. Xu's wife Su Xiaolian was a worker at the agriculture science institute in Xianning City. She appealed in Beijing in December 1999, and was illegally imprisoned for thirteen days. Her work unit did not allow her to work and stopped her salary. Wang Hanqiao was the director and Chen Ligen was the secretary at the time. Ms. Su refused to give up practicing Falun Gong, and she was illegally imprisoned twice, once in July 2000 and again in April 2001.

Ms. Su clarified the truth to the city government in August 2002. She demanded the release of Falun Dafa practitioners who had been imprisoned. The person in charge at that time was Xu Mengliang. On the morning of August 21, members of the Chalukou police station and Wenquan police station Du Zhixiang, Chen Dongbin and others arrested Ms. Su from her home and sent her to the Shizishan Drug Rehabilitation Center in Xuchang City to be "re-educated" through forced labor for two years.

At the beginning of 2004, Ms. Su was released. She demanded that she be allowed to work. Wang Dade was the director and Chen Ligen was the secretary at the time. They made her sweep the floors and lock the doors, and only paid her three hundred yuan for one month's work. At the beginning of 2005, Ms. Su clarified the truth to the supervisors and asked for a reasonable salary, but was refused.
