Eleven Practitioners Abducted and Their Homes Ransacked

Beginning at dawn on September 6, 2005, the Hebei Province Police Office, the Shijiazhuang City Police Department, the Hebei Province 610 Office, and associated police stations dispatched a large number of police and remote-monitoring vans to simultaneously arrest eleven practitioners in three major districts in Shijiazhuang City. They also ransacked the practitioners' homes. It was heard that this action was reported as a major case to the Police Ministry. The practitioners arrested included Zhao Chunlong and his son and Wang Ruoe and others.

2. Practitioners Ms. Wang Caiqing and Ms. Cao Airong in Qingyang City, Gansu Province Were Illegally Sentenced

In Qingyang City the police arrested Ms. Wang Caiqin, 44, and Ms. Cao Airong, 41, along with six other practitioners, at the home of local practitioner Cao Liping on the evening of October 30, 2004. The police then ransacked their homes and fined them 200 yuan each. Ms. Wang was brutally tortured by the police during the investigation. On August 10, 2005, Qingyang City Municipal Court sentenced Ms. Wang to four years in prison and Ms. Cao to two years in prison. They are both in the Xifeng District Detention Center.
