Introduction
Our truth-clarifying activities often require the display of posters. During
the ongoing New York truth-clarifying project, posters have played an important
role. However, the construction, set up and transportation of poster and poster
boards/frames often pose a problem. DC practitioners have designed a special
versatile poster frame that has been proven to be handy, flexible and neat. It
can have posters on both sides, can be held by one hand or stood on ground. If
many frames are used, a photo exhibition can be easily set up.
Materials
- PVC Electricity Pipe (Home Depot, Lowe's, etc) (1/2 in x 10 ft)
- Four 90-degree elbows
- One ?Tee
- Velcro strips
Construction
- Cut the pipe into 5 pieces, and connect them with elbows and the Tee (see
photos). The handle can be extended by connecting to another length of
electricity pipe. Standard dimension of frames is 24x18 in.
- Attach the Velcro strips to the four corners of the frame; attach Velcro
to the corresponding parts of the poster.
- Affix poster(s) to the frame by means of the Velcro. Posters can be
attached to both sides of the frame.
Use
- Hoist by one hand.
- Rotate the handle to stand the frame on the ground.
- Two posters can be attached to the same side with modification of the
frame.
Transportation and storage
- Take off the poster(s), disassemble the frame. If the connection is too
tight, one can use feet to help.
- Wrap the pipes with the poster(s) into a roll.
- Put the roll into a designated bag.
