Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Zhao Jing's Family Found Two Strands of Metal Wire in Her Cremated Ashes

September 19, 2004 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in Jilin Province

(Clearwisdom.net) On January 2, 2001, Clearwisdom.net published an article entitled "Zhao Jing-Female Practitioner from Jilin Beaten to Death by the Police of Yutian, Hebei Province" (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2001/1/2/5480.html) to reveal the tragic news of Ms. Zhao Jing's death. Her family found two strands of metal wire in her cremated ashes, but did not have the courage to come forward and reveal their discovery until now. Zhao Jing's family recently told a Falun Gong practitioner of their discovery. The evidence led them to believe that Zhao Jing must have suffered from horrific atrocities before she died.

Zhao Jing came from Yushu Village, Baishan Township, Fengman Precinct, Jilin City, Jilin Province. She was only 19 years old when she was killed. (Ref: http://clearwisdom.net/emh/special_column/death_list_100.html#087)

According to the interview report of Hanqing, a journalist from Radio Free Asia, the Yutian County police intercepted Zhao Jing's bus on November 23, 2000 when she was on her way to meet with some other Falun Gong practitioners in Beijing. On the way to the Yutian County Public Security Bureau, Zhao Jing jumped out of the bus to escape, but she suffered only some minor injuries. Later, the Yutian County police found her again and immediately subjected her to brutal beatings. On November 26, 2000, the Jilin City police suddenly notified Zhao Jing's family of her death, claiming Zhao Jing jumped out of a bus and died due to the subsequent severe injuries.

According to an eyewitness, a young girl jumped out of a bus and tried to travel to Beijing by taxi, but the police intercepted the taxi and arrested the girl. According to other Falun Gong practitioners who were on the same bus and detained in the same detention center in Yutian as Zhao Jing, they heard the barking of dogs and the screaming of a girl. Then the police forced them to reveal Zhao Jing's home address.

According to Radio Free Asia's report, "When Zhao Jing's father went to identify the body of Zhao Jing, he saw many marks of beatings on her body. The local police hurried to cremate her body on the same day, and gave him no chance to photograph the body. A reporter with Radio Free Asia called the Yushu Village Committee and confirmed her death, but the Village Committee claimed ignorance of any details."
