On May 13, 2004, police again arrested practitioner Ms. Liu Yanjun from her home in Dongguang City, Liaoning Province. She is currently being held at the No. 5 Division of the Shenyang City Women's Prison. She has been held and tortured there for over three months. She is unable to move one of her legs. Liu Yanjun cannot eat because she vomits whenever she tries. She is only skin and bones. Her voice is extremely weak. She often displays symptoms of being in shock and her life is in danger. Even in this situation Ms. Liu is still under 24-hour surveillance. When her family comes to visit her, an inmate carries her out since she cannot walk.

During the detention of practitioners Zhang Zhenguang, Zhou Tong, and Dou Jianjun in Tangshan City's Kaiping Forced Labor Camp, certain wardens do not allow the practitioners to sleep, and they beat them in an attempt to force them to give up their belief.

In order to protest the abuse and mistreatment under the persecution, several steadfast Dafa practitioners went on hunger strikes several times. So far, they have not eaten or taken any fluids for several days. Many of them are extremely weak and display symptoms of disease (e.g. Dou Jianjun has high blood pressure, Zhang Zhenguang cannot walk). They are still being held in the forced labor camp.

At 9:00 a.m. on August 19, 2004, personnel from the Jinzhou Police Office and Panjin City's Police Department arrested practitioners Ms. Li Baojie from the Jinzhou District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province along with her husband Mr. Pan Xueshu from Panjin City at Li Baojie's home in the Jinzhou District, Dalian City. The police took away their printer, some printing paper, printing ink and a removable hard drive (total value 1,000 yuan) (1).

The same day that they were taken to Panjin City; Li Baojie was detained at the No. 3 Detention Center and Pan Xueshu was sent to Panjin City's Forced Labor Camp. On the second day, Li Baojie was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City and Pan Xueshu was sent to the Benxi City Labor Camp. They were each sentenced to three years of forced labor.

At Su County's No. 3 Prison, Anhui Province, those practitioners who did not give up their belief in Falun Dafa were locked up in small cells and could not move around. Each day, practitioners are only given three dried-up, egg-sized pieces of steamed bread to eat and have to drink the toilet water.

On August 15, 2004, practitioner Meng Qingjun and his daughters Meng Fanru and Meng Fanyan from Acheng City, Heilongjiang Province were arrested when they were distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials at Xiaoling City. They are now being detained at Acheng City's No. 1 Detention Center.

Practitioner Liu Qingshui from the Qiaokou District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province was sentenced to three years of imprisonment because he did not give up his belief in "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance." He is being detained at the Fanjiatai Prison, Shayang City, Hubei Province. The police were afraid of this matter being exposed, so they did not allow the family members to visit. They said they needed a letter of approval from the Police Office and the local "610 Office" and would only allow the family to visit whenever they receive such an order.

In February 2004, when Dafa practitioner Yang Yongli, from Goumenzi Town, Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province, practiced exercises with several other fellow practitioners at his home, officers from the Lingyuan City Police Department arrested him and sent him to the Lingyuan City No.1 Detention Center.

At about 3:00 p.m. on June 29, 2004, Li Heguang, Tian Fulai and two other policemen from the Goumenzi Police Precinct in Lingyuan City went to Yang Yongli's home in the East Group of Maozhangzi Village. The door was locked, but one of them climbed over the wall into the yard, then opened the gate. Later, they broke the door down and entered the house. At that time, only Yang Yongli's wife, Yang Fengqin, was at home. The four policemen threatened to take her away illegally. Yang Fengqin asked, "Which law have I violated? Why would you take me away? Why did you break into my home without permission? Do you have any authorized document to arrest me?" The four policemen knew they were wrong and left.

At 8:00 p.m. on August 20, 2004, police arrested four elderly female Dafa practitioners from the Xilutian Mine in the Yuanbaoshan District at Taipingdi, which is five miles away from the Xilutian Mine. One practitioner escaped with the power of righteous thoughts. It was reported that the other three were put into the detention center at Pingzhuangling in the Yuanbaoshan District. A practitioner's house was searched. Two of the practitioners' husbands have severe illnesses but are now left at home without care.

Dafa practitioner Chang Wuxiang from Tianjin was arrested when he/she was distributing truth-clarifying videos on a bus. The details are under investigation.

On August 10, 2004, when Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Feiqiong accompanied her relatives to visit well-known scenic areas such as Jiuxiang and Shilin in Yunnan Province, policemen from Shilin County arrested her. She is currently being held at the Shilin County Detention Center.

At the end of 2001, Zhao Feiqiong was once arrested by officers from the Kunming Steel Company Police Precinct. Because she firmly refused to give up practicing Falun Gong, she was sentenced to one year of forced labor. When she was detained at the Yunan Province Women's Forced Labor Camp, because she didn't "reform," her detention term was illegally extended. She was not released until the Spring Festival of 2003.

At 3:00 p.m. on August 11, 2004 when a Dafa practitioner who lives in the Xiangyuan Residential Area of the Longtan Police Precinct in Longtan District, Jilin City was having lunch, someone suddenly knocked on the door. Zhang Ying, chief of the residential committee, He Lirong and Zhang Shuhua were at the door and claimed to be checking the registration of permanent residents. But later, policemen Lu Dong and four to five other, unknown persons broke into the house, forcibly arrested the practitioner and took him to the police precinct.

The practitioner clarified the truth to them at the precinct, but they didn't listen and instead slandered Falun Dafa. Without just cause, they sent the practitioner to the Jilin City No.3 Detention Center. Because the practitioner did not pass the physical examination, the detention center refused to accept him. The police, however, didn't give up but called a doctor they knew to do an examination and tried to continue to illegally put the practitioner into detention. They eventually failed.
