(Clearwisdom.net) On June 3, 2004, Ms. Wang Lijuan from Lincheng County returned home after four months of torture in the Lincheng County Detention Center and in the Xingtai City Brainwashing School in Hebei Province. Tragically, this once healthy and active young woman was now completely mentally incapacitated.
Before the Chinese New Year of 2004, police officer Gao Sanni from the Political and Security Section of the county police department and Wang Huafeng from the Chengguan Police Station twice searched Wang Lijuan's house without a warrant. They were directed by "610 Office" (1) head Feng Shuqun and Deputy Police Chief Li Qingshan. Their plan to arrest Wang Lijuan did not succeed due to Wang Lijuan's strong resistance. On the 13th day of the Chinese New Year, police officer Gao Sanni came again with over twenty others. They dragged Wang Lijuan into a police van and took her to the detention center.
Wang Lijuan twice went on a hunger strike during her detention to protest the persecution against her. The police force-fed her with a plastic tube through her nose, leading to her stomach, as a way to torture her. The force-feeding caused her nose to bleed. After 35 days of detention, policeman Li Qingshan demanded 2,700 Yuan (2) from Ms. Wang's family. After receiving the money, however, Li and Feng Shuqun ("610 Office" head) sent her to the Xingtai City Brainwashing School for intensified persecution.
The perpetrators in the school bombarded Ms. Wang with evil theories. They forced her to write the "Four-Statements" (3) to denounce Falun Gong. Deputy administrator Qiu Youlin frequently attempted to force her to swear at Falun Gong. When she refused, they would not allow her to sleep for days. Every day, collaborators (4) took turns to harass Ms. Wang. The relentless mental and physical torture greatly damaged her.
Before May 1, the brainwashing class authorities promised Ms. Wang that she would be released soon. Wang Lijuan became very anxious. Day by day she became eager to see her son and parents. However, the brainwashing class supervisor eventually told her that because she had not renounced Falun Dafa she would therefore remain in detention. Wang Lijuan was devastated. After three months of hellish mental and physical torture, she just could not take it any more. Her mind collapsed. She became mentally traumatized. At night she could not sleep. Her words didn't make sense; she could not control herself from writing words and drawing pictures without clear meaning. One day she fainted in the bathroom. Knowing that she might die, the brainwashing school enforcers shifted Wang Lijuan to her family.
Four months of brutal abuse reduced a healthy and active young woman to a state of mental collapse. She constantly talks to herself, holding a stuffed toy monkey. Her eyes stare around aimlessly. She cries and laughs for no apparent reason. Sometimes she complains about being watched, yelling out through the whole night.
In the spring of last year, Wang Lijuan's second oldest sister, Wang Liqing, was also abducted and taken to the Xingtai Brainwashing School. The perpetrators were police officers Feng Shuqun, Li Qingshan and Gao Sanni. For over twenty days the police deprived Wang Liqing of sleep. She almost became mentally traumatized. Now she is staying away from home and has to remain in hiding, going from place to place in order to avoid being rearrested. Policeman Li Qingshan has been trying to arrest her by announcing a reward for any information about her. The young women's elderly parents have suffered a great deal of grief in these past years. They have lost all hope of ever having a normal life again.
