My name is Zhong Caiyi. I am 12 years old, and I live in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. After the persecution of Falun Dafa began, my mother and I went to Beijing to appeal. There we were arrested and detained without any legal grounds. Since May 24, 2000, my mother has been repeatedly arrested, released and rearrested. She was once illegally sent to a forced labor camp for one year, and her term was later prolonged for another three months after the original one-year term expired. On April 2, 2002, my mother was arrested again. With righteous thoughts, she escaped, but she had to leave home, moving from one place to another in order to avoid further persecution. Later, she was arrested again. The police took turns watching her and depriving her of sleep, and she endured many tortures. When she went on a six-day hunger strike, they forced her to jump down from the 4^th floor of a building, causing a comminuted pelvic fracture and the breaking of her right leg. After being taken to a hospital, she started another hunger strike, which lasted 24 days. When she was finally carried back home, her lower body was paralyzed.

Practitioner Ning Bo, a 73-year-old farmer from Xiaolianggou Village of Xi'an Township in Dakou County, Panjing City, Liaoning Province, was abducted by the police from the Xi'an Police Station and taken to the Dakou County Detention Center when he was transplanting rice seedlings on May 19, 2004.

Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province tortures practitioners by using corporal punishment, depriving them of sleep, shocking them with electric batons and force-feeding them. As a result of long-term torture, practitioner Wang Hui became mentally disordered, and she is often in a daze. Practitioner Shen Liqing continued practicing Falun Gong, and he was tortured nearly to death before the police finally asked his family to take him back home.

My name is Li Dongyan. Because I adhered to my practice of Falun Dafa, I was sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for two years. During that period, I endured extreme mental tortures as well as inhumane physical tortures. My weight dropped from 154 lbs. to 88 lbs., and I became completely disfigured. However, the persecution could not change my firm belief in Dafa. I broke out of that evil place and returned to the great current of Fa-rectification.

Ms. Zeng Meilian, a senior citizen in Dongkou County, Hunan Province, had many chronicle illnesses, and her rheumatism and heart disease often inhibited her from leaving her bed. Fortunately, she learned Falun Dafa and a wonderful thing happened--all her diseases disappeared without any medical treatment. Since Dafa has been persecuted, this elderly lady has been illegally detained many times for firmly adhering to her belief. The vicious people tortured her in many ways and extorted huge amounts of money through fines.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Ping from Anlu City, Hebei Province went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa in October 1999. She was detained in the Anlu First Detention Center for over a month, and she was released only after her family paid a huge fine. In April 2001, she wrote a solemn statement to the "610 Office" (1) and was arrested and taken to the Anlu Second Detention Center. She went on a hunger strike for nine days, and was then released. On March 2, 2002, the police arrested her and detained her in the Anlu First Detention Center. In the mid-July, she went on a hunger strike for a long time, and the police put her on a "Dead Person's Bed" (2) for three consecutive days and nights. She had severe stomach bleeding and became emaciated before she was finally released. A week later, she learned that the police were planning on sentencing her in a show trial, so she was forced to leave home and move from place to place to avoid further persecution. However, the police later found her and arrested her. While in police custody, Ms. Chen was extremely weak and often lost consciousness. The police gave her a seven-year sentence without any legal grounds. She is currently detained in the Wuhan City Women's Prison.

Another practitioner, Ms. Lei Daying from Anlu City, also went to Beijing to appeal after July 20, 1999. She was later detained in the Anlu First Detention Center for over a month, and she too was released only after being forced to pay a monetary fine. On February 29, 2002, she was rearrested when posting truth-clarification flyers, and she was taken again to the Anlu First Detention Center. Ms. Lei was later sentenced to seven years in prison, and she is now detained in the Wuhan City Womem's Prison.

Ms. Yang Mingzhen of Hanting District of Weifang City, Shandong Province has endured numerous instances of persecution from the Hanting District Police Department, the "610 Office," the police substation, the detention center, and her work unit. She has frequently been arrested and detained, and she has suffered through many tortures. In 2000, she was illegally sent to a forced labor camp for three years, and her salary was also withheld for a long time.

I am Wang Yuankeng from Wangjiatuan Village in the Fushan District of Yantai City, Shandong Province. I am 72 years old. In June 2001, I was detained in a detention center for 15 days for studying the teachings of Falun Dafa and doing the Falun Gong exercises with several fellow practitioners. I was later transferred to a brainwashing center for 10 days. In September 2002, I went to other villages to hand out truth-clarification materials, and some vicious people informed the police. On September 24, 2002, I was abducted and detained in the Fushan District Transformation Camp (a brainwashing center), where I endured much persecution. As a result, my feet became swollen, I was vomiting, and both my vomit and stool were abnormally dark. I was later released because of my physical condition.

(1) "610 Office"- An agency that was specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.

(2) "Dead Person's Bed" - The four limbs of the practitioner are stretched out and tied to the four corners of an icy-cold metal bed. The practitioner cannot move at all. Neither is he allowed to get up to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom. This treatment would last from several hours up to more than a dozen days. This type of cruel torture causes severe damage to the practitioner both mentally and physically.
